### 5/5 — Super

*2024-12-24, version 4.8*

Excelente

### 2/5 — Aplicacion de pago, no libre

*2024-12-14, version 4.8*

### 5/5 — Another Tool

*2024-12-08*

There are a lot of tools on my workbench. All the tools are useful, but not necessary. I have a lot of different art & hobby paints on my workbench. When I need to know what colors I’ll need for my next project Model Colors is my go to. So it is a useful tool, however it is a necessary tool.

### 5/5 — Needed

*2024-12-07, version 4.8*

This site is great for keeping track of paints purchased and paints needed. Worth the subscription price.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2024-12-05, version 4.8*

This is an outstanding app for managing my paints.

### 3/5 — Expensive

*2024-12-03, version 4.6*

Great app to track paints hut very expensive to subscribe

### 5/5 — Great Utility

*2024-11-16, version 4.6*

Use this app to track my model stash as well as paint and other supplies. Functionality is good and well worth the small amount charged.

*2024-10-20, version 4.6*

### 1/5 — Requires Sign in with Apple

*2024-10-13, version 4.6*

After a recent update the app won’t work unless you Sign in with Apple and share your email address and personal information. Not worth it

### 1/5 — Era gratis, ya no. Hasta nunca

*2024-10-11, version 4.6*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not free anymore,

*2026-05-12, version 5.2*

It’s no longer free to use. Spent a lot of time inputting the data. Move it to a spreadsheet

### 1/5 — Used to be my go to until they charged

*2026-03-08, version 4.15*

This app used to be my go to to manage my huge paint collections but then once they started charging to access the data, I was out.

*2025-07-06, version 4.13*

### 1/5 — Monthly $$

*2025-03-07, version 4.10*

Just found out, I was locked out of all of my information without a monthly subscription! I don’t think so, used to be a nice app.

### 1/5 — Seemed good at first

*2025-02-02*

This app seemed amazing at first, until I opened it and can’t see anything I entered without subscribing. I get that this is a world revolving around subscriptions but there was no indication I would be 100% blocked from seeing what I had entered. I liked the app and would have subscribed but the way they demanded the subscription left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll find another app to subscribe to.

**Developer response:** If you previously used the app and have data there that you would like to access just get in touch and I will give your account free access to the app.

### 1/5 — Paid app disguised as free

*2025-01-03, version 4.9*

It states that can be used for free for now. For now means you use it for a couple days and then you have to pay

### 1/5 — Ahora de pago

*2024-12-31, version 4.8*

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2024-12-17, version 4.8*

A subscription for a PAINT COVERSION app? Have you COMPLETELY lost your minds?! I don’t caree how cheap it is, its just unacceptable.

### 1/5 — Used to be 5 stars

*2024-11-25*

I remember this being a good app when I tried it a few years ago. Now it has an immediate ‘subscribe ($$/month) or quit’ message even though the description still says it takes ‘donations’. I understand the author needs to make money and (presumably) spends time updating the paint lists, etc. but I personally HATE subscription apps (or any sort of ‘evergreen’ payment) and will only use one if there is no other choice AND there is a solid reason it has to be a subscription. For this kind of app, I’d be happy buying a new version every few years but not a subscription.

### 1/5 — Ouch

*2024-10-28, version 4.6*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2026-05-30, version 5.4*

This is an outstanding app for managing my paints. I use the shopping list when buying paints at the model shop.

### 5/5 — The best organizer

*2026-02-10, version 5.1*

This app is a the best tool I have for my hobby. It’s much easier to use than scale mates imho.

### 5/5 — The perfect Scale Modelling app

*2026-01-13, version 5.0*

Have been using for a couple of years now and the app does everything I need in one place. Tracks my building material stash including paints, glues, weathering materials, etc with barcode scanning built in for adding purchases and a shopping list feature for restocks or needed items.
Keeps track of my kit stash and builds, adds Scalemates links to kit records from box barcode scan.
Included scale converter, paint matcher and colour mix log (including option to share yours or find other modellers submissions).
Constantly updated, brilliant FB and discord group to engage directly with app creator.
Highly recommend adding it to your scale modelling toolkit.

### 5/5 — Great Tool

*2025-12-25, version 5.0*

This is a great tool for matching paints and managing my paint stash.

### 5/5 — Paint options

*2025-12-08, version 5.0*

As well as keeping inventory of all your model paints, this will details of all model project both past and present. This app is invaluable to track your needs by creating shopping lists. This app is essential for any modeller of any skill level.

### 5/5 — Good way to keep track of your models and paints

*2025-11-15*

I have use many features like color list. It help you keep track color you mixed and use on other model.

### 5/5 — Cannot model without it - and regular updates

*2025-10-25, version 4.15*

This is probably the most useful app I have ever used. The description says it all, so I am not going to repeat it. The app is actively supported. There are regular updates and any bug that sneaks in is promptly fixed. I have been using it ever since I started modelling and find the ability to document each model I built and the colours used is really helpful. For example when you build a collection of UK Cold War planes from different model manufacturers each recommending different colour brands, it is useful to read the notes and use the exact same colour on all to make them all consistent.
The ability to compare colours with the standard colours is good as you can see how different each manufacturer’s interpretation of a standard is.

### 5/5 — A must for modellers

*2025-04-19, version 4.12*

Have been using spreadsheets, handwritten checklists, you name it, for years and am forever missing something I need or ordering something I already have by accident.
This app changes all that. Have about 16 builds planned I’ve put into the app, built all the prescribed colour lists and substituted in where I’m lacking but have stock of other brands etc. so convenient and easy to use.
Now have an excellent planning resource, shopping list, and substitute guide all in hand with this app. Plus the scan barcode feature even recognised accessories like thinner, tape, putty, cement etc to keep track of. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great Hobby Paint Inventory System

*2025-02-15*

Probably like most modelers, over time I’ve accumulated a good bit of paints from several different manufacturers. So when I’m planning a new build and trying to see if I have the correct paints, I don’t have to go through a couple hundred bottles searching to see if I have it. I can simply “search” my stash electronically on this app. It is WELL WORTH the very small fee! Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Best paint app ever!

*2025-01-26, version 4.10*

I have a terrible memory for what I have so using this has been really good for me to not end up with multiple copies of the same paint. As a new painter I’ve been struggling with the complimentary and split colour theory and I found this tool to be really useful to enable me to better plan my painting. I had a query with how to use the app and the developer came back to me on a Sunday within two hours with a screenshot and exactly the answer I needed.
