It forces you to grind through early levels over and over again in order to pass future levels past 6. Most of the time, the difference between clearing a level and losing depends entirely on which random upgrades you get. In observing the developers as they built and iterated the game, it became painfully obvious to me that they are here for one thing, and one thing only: your wallet. The rub is they’ve managed to crack the dopamine code so it is almost impossible not to spend money and time on it. Kudos to them, I guess this is capitalism at its most…. base. Initially, it was a good and enjoyable game, but now it seems to be designed only for high spenders. With every recent update, the developers have made the game worse by weakening players’ weapons while strengthening enemy attacks. The game was especially ruined after they introduced the “Enraged” effect for enemies. It feels like a cheat code for them—once the Enraged effect starts, enemies destroy your walls in seconds, and none of the usual counters such as debuffs or interceptors work against them. Progressing in this game is extremely difficult. Even if you spend around $100 per month, it can still take years to level up properly. So, free-to-play players have almost no chance of making meaningful progress. I personally spend around $20 regularly, and I still see little to no growth. Players who completed more stages before these recent updates may have reached decent levels, but everyone else is struggling. Honestly, this used to be a good game, but the developers have ruined it because of their greed to make more money. I have sent many mails to support team, but no use, and even get worsen when every update happens. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear about this experience. That shouldn’t happen.
