This and guitar Gym are my go to when practicing my technique. Mastery of the basics is key and this helps practice on the key techniques and theory in a simple and neat way.

I can practice guitar with my very busy life with this app. The exercises add up if you make it a habit and do it everyday, your playing will blow your mind and you’ll find yourself able to play songs you used to only dream of. Do exactly what the practice session says and you won’t be disappointed. It’s very worth it, you could practice these for years and become a guitar monster!

Really not worth 13.99. The free exercises on his website are virtually identical. The graphic of the fretboard with a blue dot whizzing over it is quite simply horrendous. For the money I've paid this really does need major updates with new content.

This app is perfect for any level guitar players. If you are a beginner this app is the perfect place to start if you want to improve and achieve a solid technique. And for he medium to advanced players this app is a great workout to keep your guitar chops in shape. The app is mainly divided  in four sections which focus on the basic common 4 techniques (alternate picking, legato, sweep picking, tapping) that every modern rock guitarist should be aware of and that should strive to master in order to become a pro-efficient player. 
Although some may think this is an app with just a bunch of exercises that anyone could be able to find in guitar pro. Let me tell you that every exercise is well designed to quickly improve your technique just add this to your daily routine and you will notice change in less than you might have expected.

I have been a fan of Martin's teaching for a while and collected many of his lessons from magazines such Guitar Techniques and his website. Whilst this app has many excellent features (the interface and tools for example), I hope more content is added at a later date - maybe some backing tracks and complete solos like the ones demonstrated in the YouTube video to advertise the app.

This app has done more to improve my technique than many hours of guitar lessons. Recommended for guitar lovers with some personal discipline - you still need to sit down and practise the exercises daily etc... Martin Goulding is a fantastic teacher and the app reflects his teaching philosophy.

What Martin has done here is to encapsulate years of experience teaching rock guitar into a wide-ranging and well-organised app.  The Theory section, with its explanation of of modes and scales is the best I have ever seen (and trust me, I’ve seen loads of them).  The beautifully clear fretboard diagrams and scale generators illustrate everything perfectly. Another great feature is the option to put together your own ‘Practice Routine’.  I am really ill-disciplined, but I now look forward to challenging myself every day to try and get the exercises and licks perfect, and to improve my speed and accuracy.  You can choose to play along with just a metronome, a guitar track or a full backing track - whichever you find helps you best.    This has been a great investment for me.

I bought this app because I have been in bands with 2 of martins students in the past and both are phenomenal players themselves. This app costs less than half the price of an hour with Martin privately, yet there are hundreds of hours of knowledge in this. It's not just for rock guitar either, the sheer amount of content on modes and scales is enough to make this an essential learning and practice aid for anyone wanting to have a better understanding of what they're doing on a guitar. Put that together with all the licks, amazing practice routines, backing tracks and the easy to see fretboards, tabs and demonstrations and you get everything you need to take your practice to the next level. I especially like the ability to slow down and speed up the licks so that I can mark my progress as I play along. Even at 4 times the price this app would be fantastic value. Learn from one of the best guitarists and teachers out there!
