### 4/5 — Unsure if it’s helpful

*2026-08-24, version 3.61.0*

Did not update us when a toilet tank was leaking a moderate amount of water. Then recently unrelated to above or to any alert, it shut off the water which we discovered early in the morning. It wouldn’t turn on through app or physically. Finally rebooted the device and it turned on. I am not sure how any of this is helpful.

### 2/5 — Bring back Historical usage

*2026-08-21, version 3.61.0*

The old version of the app includes Historical usage by fixture. The fixture category wasn’t perfect, but often helpful when I found a slow leaking toilet. Now that data is completely missing in the app. The data still exists throughout the website interface, but not through the current version of the app.

### 1/5 — Garbage!

*2026-08-18, version 3.61.0*

I cannot stand this ap and product. So many errors.

### 1/5 — Useless technology wrapped in bad technology

*2026-08-18, version 3.61.0*

So first off, the monitor is an absolute scam that I was forced to by myself so I could get home insurance. So already down $200 I then have to get an app that fails to log me in, fails to authenticate my login, fails to notify me when water is running, fails to notify me when water is shut off, and fails to notify me when there is a leak. It does however mean that anytime I shower for more than 10 minutes past a mysterious time allotment my water shuts off.

Moen states there’s a “learning period” for the device where it learns your house schedule and water timings. This information is not provided to you in any form and when customer support is contacted they are unable to provide any information about what personal data has been gathered by the meter, which is a violation of the CCPA. If I was not forced to use this I would not. I barely use it regardless as the technology is non-functional.

### 1/5 — Hasn’t worked properly since Moen took over

*2026-08-17, version 3.61.0*

Ever since Moen app came out and we were forced to move to it and it hasn’t worked

I got better Internet, I got a more powerful router. It worked for about two minutes again, and then it stopped. And of course, you can never get a human. It’s completely ridiculous. I spent thousands to put this thing in and I don’t even know if it’s working or not.

### 1/5 — Hate it

*2026-08-16, version 3.60.0*

Constantly needs to be recalibrated, would never buy again.

### 2/5 — Limited reporting

*2026-08-16, version 3.60.0*

Overall, I find the app to be OK, but come on, the reporting is only limited to today or a week? I want to see monthly reports up to 12 months in the rear within the app and all details associated with that.

### 1/5 — Insurance required this terrible device

*2026-08-15, version 3.60.0*

I only got this thing, which I paid like $500 for, plus an unavoidable $75 installation fee which was not initially disclosed, because Farmers insurance required it to avoid hefty rate increases. So at least I got that out of the way but the thing just doesn't work. It's a shoddy piece of plastic, has to be plugged in so you better have an outlet near your shutoff valve, and reports entirely false information about your pressure, flow and usage. Absolutely avoid this useless device unless it gets you out of insurance rate increases.

### 1/5 — Horrible horrible horrible

*2026-08-15, version 3.60.0*

Imperious and overrides homeowner common sense. Impossible to communicate on the weekends. Who knew that water “emergencies” only happen M-F during Moen’s business hours. We were forced to install this by our insurance company and it is completely dysfunctional for a well, where our well pump will shut down before the Moen system confidently and mistakenly shuts off the water supply to our entire property. No resetting of water levels for watering plants is sufficient. A total and ridiculous PITA.

### 2/5 — Old app was better

*2026-08-15, version 3.60.0*

This app isn’t as intuitive or user friendly as the old Flo app. The other app was more organized. Plus you could see when water was actively flowing in the old app. This app sends low pressure alerts if you turn the valve off. Of course the pressure will drop when I close the valve. I don’t need an alert for this.

### 4/5 — Home Page

*2026-08-15, version 3.60.0*

Did the latest update change the home page in the app? I now have box in the upper left that brings up my devices. When I now open the app it defaults to the last device I was looking at. Before the home page when opening, it would default to a page listing all my devices

### 3/5 — Reduced functionality

*2026-08-15, version 3.60.0*

They removed usage history from the app, you can only view it now in the web app

### 1/5 — Historical Data missing

*2026-08-15, version 3.60.0*

Recent updates to the Moen Flo app have caused historical usage tabs and fixture breakdowns to go missing for my phone with iOS.

### 4/5 — Mown app status not shows on or off

*2026-08-13, version 3.60.0*

The atatus above the meters stuck in the middle, not slide to on.

### 1/5 — Don’t like new app

*2026-08-13, version 3.60.0*

Cannot assign usage to individual appliances!!!

### 1/5 — Not as capable as claimed

*2026-08-13, version 3.60.0*

This device does not learn. I have had to set so many special exceptions to limits , that I cannot depend on it detecting many catastrophic leak scenarios. These exceptions took months to set up each time a warning for as shut offs or actual shut offs occurred for months after installing. Exhausting and extremely frustrating. Now that it’s installed, I’m stuck with it and a high likelihood of further nuisance warnings and shut offs...and no peace of mind that was expected.

### 2/5 — Ummm…why?

*2026-08-11, version 3.60.0*

A week ago I would’ve given this app five stars; Specifically because of its ease of use. The home screen on the app listed both my smart master shutoff and smart (basement) kitchen faucet, each with basic on/off controls. An incredibly thoughtful touch on the app was to automatically add a third item, a one-switch “winterize” button that operated both devices simultaneously. But in the updated app, all those are gone, and I’m left with two big clunky non-controllable links; one to each device. Not the end of the world, but not the user- focused screen I had raved about to other others. Please put it back the way it was.

### 2/5 — Too many alarms

*2026-08-11, version 3.60.0*

The smallest use of water during the night early morning results in too many false email alarms.
I know there’s probably a setting to fix this obvious!

### 1/5 — Review

*2026-08-11, version 3.60.0*

Ever since the change in the app, it is very difficult to navigate and the most useful features have been eliminated, the usage by appliance,
categories, etc…

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sloppy app

*2026-08-24, version 3.61.0*

App is faulty. Fails to connect. Fails to show any updates. Difficult to keep online. Overall very poor experience

### 1/5 — Terrible - new app won’t stay connected

*2026-08-23, version 3.61.0*

Terrible - new app won’t stay connected

### 1/5 — Not worth the headaches.

*2026-08-21, version 3.61.0*

After a year of problems w the app ("glitches" they said), customer svc calls, having to call plumbers, water shut-offs that can only be done manually w the wrench (thank god I was home to do that), I deleted the app and disconnected the stupid thing.

### 1/5 — Like inviting a Prison Guard to torture you

*2026-08-21, version 3.61.0*

Way worse than the old Flo app. It has cut the water off on us four times today. Its like a mean prison guard waiting until you soap up, then it cuts the water off. No real user configuration available. The old app did ios notifications which at least were timely and integrated with the app. Oh no not these new cheap charleys. Just sends unactionable sms that are not in sync with interface. One positive. The realtime flow and pressure readings are good. But not anything original or new.

### 1/5 — Bad app, bad support. Shuts off my water every time my softener backwashes.

*2026-08-20, version 3.61.0*

Bad app, bad support. Shuts off my water every time my softener backwashes.

### 1/5 — Why did they change the app????

*2026-08-20, version 3.61.0*

I had the old app and NEVER had a problem. With this new merged app, there are only problems. It started with 50 to 100 notifications a day, coming every few seconds. I finally had to call, and they had to shut it off. Now it’s back on, and it only notifies me if it does the daily check. This morning, I got 25 notifications all at once, and they just kept coming. They didn’t stop. This app needs major work. I’m very disappointed in it now because of the merger. I don’t know why they changed it or why they had to, but it’s terrible. Please fix!!

### 1/5 — Awful Software

*2026-08-19, version 3.61.0*

The software and hardware combination has to be one of the worst I have ever used regarding 2.4 GHz connectivity. I have others which were very easy to connect, this one is terrible.

### 1/5 — Beware

*2026-08-19, version 3.61.0*

This app and support is flat out terrible and unusable. Support will have you spend hours troubleshooting when the app has technical bugs. Waste of time.

### 1/5 — I hate this Moen Flo System!!!

*2026-08-19, version 3.61.0*

Since when do we trust a nameless computer to shut off the water in my home? Since installation we have averaged a water shut off almost every day for nearly two weeks! Whether it’s showering or laundry in the middle of the day, the system thinks this is unusual activity and shuts off the water. It’s currently 7pm. The water is shut off. The app to turn it back on just spins. The customer service phone number is currently closed. The bot chat tells me to trouble shoot and manually turn on my water. I don’t have instructions and have no idea how to do this. An autobot chat doesn’t cut it when we have no water. No flushing toilets, no showers, no laundry. This stupid system has shut off our water and Moen has no resolution until their customer service phone number is open again in 12 hours!!! We didn’t want this system. The insurance company required it. Words aren’t available to describe how much I hate this system and Moen for their lack of human support.

### 1/5 — Not what it used to be.

*2026-08-19, version 3.61.0*

Don’t show usage. Called support, still not the way it used to be. No usage. I have referred this to many people, feel like a fool.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good reliable system.

*2026-08-21, version 3.61.0*

### 5/5 — My home

*2026-07-23, version 3.58.0*

I bought MOEN FLO for the reviews and the high price figuring spending $200 more well worth it. It saved me in four years. Alerted me what a destroyed my house each time thank you you FL O.

### 5/5 — MOEN Flo for my home

*2026-07-23, version 3.58.0*

Added a MoenFlo valve to my home after seeing one at my neighbors place. First thing I noticed was MF measured high (85-90psi) indoor water pressure - and I replaced my PRV. After PRV replaced, saw av pressure of ~50psi, but periodic high peaks. Added a thermal expansion tank which eliminated peaks!
With the ability to read the water pressure and see time history, I am confident that MF saved me from potential future water leaks in my 30y old pipes !!
Also reduced my home insurance deductible from $10k to $1k!

### 5/5 — Old app is better

*2026-07-17, version 3.58.0*

I like the old app better

### 5/5 — Saves the day

*2026-07-15, version 3.57.0*

This device has been amazing since the day we installed it. It has caught many drips that we may not have noticed. It also caught a major leak in the middle of the night out in our greenhouse. I love this device and every house should have one.

### 5/5 — Smart water control for efficiency and peace of mind

*2026-07-13, version 3.57.0*

The Moen Smart Flo valve provides reliable water flow sensing, diagnostics and automatic shut off features for home protection and peace of mind.
