## What is MoGuan PDF?

MoGuan PDF is an on-device toolkit for PDFs and photos. Redact sensitive content, scan, recognize text, sign, merge, protect, translate, and export on iPhone and iPad. Your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded.

REDACT
• Import a photo or PDF, then select the areas you want removed
• Detect likely phone numbers, account numbers, and faces for your review
• Selected areas are baked into a rasterized export instead of covered by a removable overlay
• The finished file is checked again across final pixels and its text layer
• Automated checks can miss content, so review the result before sharing

READ, SCAN & OCR
• Open PDFs from Files or another app and return to recent documents
• Search inside documents with highlighted results
• Scan multiple pages or turn selected photos into a PDF
• Make scans searchable and copyable with on-device OCR

EDIT & PROTECT
• Add a handwritten signature, page numbers, and watermarks
• Merge, extract, delete, reorder, and rotate pages
• Export a copy, compress, split, or apply an opening password
• Cancel long operations without replacing your source document

PHOTO TOOLS
• Remove unwanted areas, colorize old photos, enlarge images, and stitch long images
• Read receipts, split book spreads, scan QR codes, and add optional time or location stamps
• Turn captured text into Word or Excel output
• Create portrait photos with background choices and print layouts

PHOTO TRANSLATION
Photo translation uses Apple Translation on the device. The first time you use a language, iOS may need to download its language pack.

PRIVACY
There is no account, advertising, or tracking. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. Your source files stay under your control.

Requires iOS 17 or later. Some system features depend on the iOS version and supported hardware.

· Choose a PDF size limit and review the actual output size, page count and clarity before saving a copy.
· Replace a single page from Photos or the document camera, with undo and recovery drafts.
· Check OCR against the page image and correct searchable text. Correct photo-translation source text and translate again.
· Pin recent files and resume reading. Wide iPad windows gain page and contents navigation.
· Improved search cancellation, image-tool loading feedback and translation-result validation.
· Added read-only protection for detected unsupported PDF attachments, signatures and dynamic forms; improved keyboard dismissal when searching tools.

· A new Inkpage icon and separate Home, Files, and Tools tabs
· Search recent file names and tools, with quick actions at the bottom of the reader
· Fixed premature no-results messages and stale search results
· Image-based compression now explains changes to text, links, forms, and protection before export
· Open the current edited document directly in Redact without changing the original or unsaved edits
· Improved preservation of outlines and internal links during common PDF edits

### 2.0 — 2026-08-30

· Large exports now write directly to files for lower memory use and more reliable export, compression, encryption, and splitting
· Redact now checks the final pixels and text layer, with a reminder to review before sharing
· Added iPad support, keyboard controls, and front-camera support for photo tools
· Improved multi-page scanning, recovery, cancellation, and accessibility
· Fixed localization gaps and assorted edge cases

### 1.9 — 2026-07-27

· New Redact: finds emails, phone numbers, card numbers, long digit strings and faces in photos and PDFs, then wipes the ones you confirm. What's removed is genuinely gone — you can't copy it, search it, or pull it out with another app. It isn't a black box drawn on top
· Eight tools can now shoot straight from the camera, with ultra wide / wide / telephoto lens switching, pinch zoom and tap to focus
· Scans now show up in the Files app: On My iPhone → MoGuan PDF → Scans
· Fixed: Control Center controls did nothing when tapped
· Fixed: in Redact and Magic Eraser, tall images and scans pushed the bottom buttons off screen
· Redact keeps the MoGuan promise too: detection and removal happen entirely on your device, never uploaded, no network

### 1.8 — 2026-07-25

· New Photo Translator: snap menus, signs, or documents — text is recognized and translated on your device (requires iOS 18)
· New Receipt Scanner: photograph an invoice or receipt and the merchant, date, amount, invoice number, and tax ID are extracted automatically
· New Screenshot Stitcher: pick screenshots in order and overlapping parts are detected and merged into one long image — chat threads and web pages alike
· New Control Center shortcuts: add Scan, Watermark Camera, and Magic Eraser to Control Center for one-tap access (requires iOS 18)
· Fixed: the output size in AI Upscaler and the location permission text for Watermark Camera were not shown correctly in some languages
· Everything new keeps the MoGuan promise: on-device, never uploaded, no network
