## What is Moisture Mapper?

Moisture Mapper Mobile™ is the companion app to the restoration industry's most reliable and proven documentation and process management system: Moisture Mapper.  The new mobile application provides water mitigation professionals with the same intuitive framework used in the web-based system for documenting every step of the drying process on residential or commercial water losses. With Moisture Mapper Mobile, field personnel have the ability to document any water mitigation project in real time on the job site without any internet or cellular connectivity, while still having access to the guidance of Moisture Mapper's proprietary algorithms for drying recommendations based on the IICRC S500.

Moisture Mapper, the leading provider of web based tools for moisture tracking and documentation, is continually upgrading its mobile platform to enhance restorers ability to produce professional reports to help justify invoices, as well as meet any insurer or managed repair program requirements.

An account is needed to use Moisture Mapper servers to upload the project and generate reports. In order to do so, please make sure you have internet access, then enter your user name and password. Can’t even get started! Frustrating! Had to give 1 Star because there was no option for no star....

This is the most convoluted program I’ve ever used and the training programs are ridiculous!

I was literally told by a rep at moisture mapper to instruct our techs not to use the app because it is so bad. I replied that the web application is not responsive for mobile and then was told, incorrectly, that it is. But don’t worry - they’ve been bought by NextGear, so I’m sure things will improve.

When adjusting wall lengths in this sketch app, the measurements will jump 5 inches at a time. Are we expected to create sketches that are "close enough" and be good with it? If you accidentally move a corner, that corner will never go back to being straight, or to the measurement it was previously, so you end up with a misshapen room. I haven't located any settings for correcting this issue. 
The PC version may be better, but like Xactimate, the iPad apps are in no way an efficient means of mobility. I can't understand why insurance companies can't agree on using anyone's chosen mitigation software reports. If we say it's dry, by gawd, it's our butts on the line, and XYZ software isn't going to make it more accurate than another. After playing around with this app, I realized that I'm not very eager to learn another complicated mitigation program. Also, I find it odd that there is nothing about this program anywhere, except the company's sales-pitch website. Is this product that secretive, or is it not used? Lucky for me, USAA is the only company requiring the program usage, and we're not doing anything for them, so that's 2 plus'. There's no FAQ information anywhere, about any aspect of this software, so you have to go into training completely ignorant. No thanks.
