But over half the time i have to delete app and reinstall than keep fingers crossed it will work. Dont know why it cant find Bluetooth in settings but it is not there so forced to delete and reinstall over and over till i get lucky and it connects ### 4/5 — Updates *2022-12-20, version 1.4.8* Needs to have a warranty considering it’s made out of plastic. My bracket cracked and they want $17 to replace and it’s not even a year old. Customer service only communication is via email. This company is sad, truly sad! ### 4/5 — So close *2022-06-27, version 1.4.8* I was so excited to get this and have been using it for months. Overall the concept is great, the display is bright, battery life is amazing. Where it struggles is in what actually can be displayed. The presets are good, some of the gifs are funny. But some are NEVER going to be used. And while it is cool to create your own, this MUST be improved on as others have noted. The fact that I can ONLY seem tod do this on my phone is highly frustrating. Importing images as others have said doesn’t work well at all, even when I tried making them on pixel art. There has to be a better way to incorporate outside creation. If this gets figured out, this is would be the coolest product out there. **Developer response:** Hello Victor! At first I thought it would be pretty straightforward but after playing with it awhile I decided it was not very user friendly. I picked it up again today, was able to configure it to display a message and was pretty happy about that. I don’t, however, see a way to power on the display from my phone. If I keep it plugged in to the 12v outlet in the back seat it should power up whenI start the vehicle and the display should light up - or at least it should allow me to connect to it from my phone and power up the display. The only way to get the display to light up is to manually hit the power button which means I have to crawl into the back seat before I go anywhere and turn on the power. Maybe future firmware updates will allow remote power up. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it. We just made a new release and tested the device in regards to manual power on, as you described. If you turn off the device via the app (not by pushing the power button), it should reconnect via the app as well (no need to click on the power button). You can send us an email to support@mojipic.co - I will share a video on how to do that. ### 2/5 — can’t use voice commands while using Carplay *2021-06-04, version 1.3.9* The app is kind of useless if you’re mounting this in a car. the point of voice commands is for them to be used safely - like when driving - but you can’t. Siri tells you that you cannot use them while connected to Apple Carplay, which is ridiculous. **Developer response:** Hi, Siri Voice Commands are working fine to allow voice control through your phone. We are working on integration with Carplay. ### 2/5 — Connection issues *2021-05-09, version 1.3.7* Cool device and idea. Unable to download gifs. Small library or make your own. Bluetooth connection is the worst. May connect for a few days in a row then it doesn’t want to connect. Try various methods of troubleshooting and maybe you can connect. Have so many issues with connectivity that I sometimes regret I bought it. But when it works it’s cool. **Developer response:** Hi Dragon, thank you for your feedback. You should be able to download GIFs from our catalogues with no problem, we also added Tenor catalogues now as well. We are expanding our catalogues as we speak and you can create your own images or download them too. As for the BLE connectivity - please, contact support@mojipic.co and we will gladlly help you. This is lacking the ability to import gif images and is the biggest downfall of this product. Yes you can make your own but being able to download gif files and make your own images would make this product shine. Have mentioned this suggestion to the developers several times and they still haven’t updated this feature in over a year. They need to follow Divoom product app and take some of those features. Thanks. ### 4/5 — 4 Stars for sure maybe 5 *2021-02-11, version 1.3.6* Works really well and has lots of cool DIY features as well as really cool presets sometimes I have a hard time turning it on but once it’s on it works great ### 4/5 — Mojipic *2021-01-10, version 1.3.6* It is a bit difficult to get the hang of it and I have to physically turn it on if I don’t drive every even though the battery life is 80% or more. Also the Siri interface doesn’t seem to work as advertised. ### 2/5 — Basic, and lacks functionality. *2021-01-05* In order to use the “Mojipic” LED display, one must use “Mojipic” application and whilst the “Mojipic” LED display is actually pretty good, the same cannot be said of the “Mojipic” application. First, there’s the fact that the “Mojipic” application gives no indication that the “Mojipic” LED display is charging (its battery), nor will it update the status of the battery unless you change to a different screen and then come back to the “Dashboard”... Adding to the confusion, the “Mojipic” LED display itself gives no indication that it is charging (its battery), and can only recharge its battery whilst it is powered-on. Then there’s the limitations of the “Mojipic” application - one cannot import existing GIFs for use (you can only create GIFs from scratch, which is difficult and time-consuming), nor can one save “ticker” text. Lastly, there is no support for Apple CarPlay, which I think is kind of important, considering the “Mojipic” LED display is designed specifically with vehicle usage in mind. The “Mojipic” application does see intermittent updates - but thus far, they have primarily been content updates, adding various content that is of little interest to me... I’d like to see the “Mojipic” Development Team add Apple CarPlay support, along with support for using (existing) GIF images, the saving of “ticker” text and possibly a public gallery where users could share content (i.e. images and / or text for use on the “Mojipic” LED display). ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unhappy *2022-10-19, version 1.4.8* App won’t load GIFS , the device itself wouldn’t stick to my window it would fall every time and I would clean the window , then clean the suction cups with water. Not pleased. Hopefully they refund my money after shipping it back an hour after opening ### 1/5 — Customer service *2022-01-29, version 1.4.8* If you need to contact customer service forget about it. They will not respond to your questions. I’ve had a couple of issues with the unit and sent an inquiry to customer service for each issue and have not received an answer for either. Regular updates and additions seem few and far between. I was one of the original backers, and received my unit timely. But the lack of support and the overt political tone leave me wondering if I made a good purchase. I haven’t installed my unit yet, probably won’t, and will either try to sell my unit or throw it out eventually. I cannot currently recommend the app or the hardware. ### 1/5 — Needs LOTS of work *2020-07-12, version 1.3.1* First and foremost, it kills my music when I run the app! Lazy programming just turned on access to everything. You don’t need to take over the sound 😡 Second and almost as important. I have to unload and reboot to get it to upload a pic. And even then it doesn’t always work. And why in the world does it fail to delete a pic from the device??? Third, it likes to crash in the drawing tool, usually after I’ve worked hard on something. Of course my work is lost. How about at a minimum, you save my current state on a regular basis so a crash doesn’t lose my work? Fourth, how do I make it NOT show something on the device? The internal battery last a really long time. The cigarette lighter type lead could do with being a usb. It takes a bit of a learning curve to understand it. Even with the last bit this still is a out of this world product. If you are still going Mojipic please make more of these, your website said that you were out of stock and had to buy mine of eBay. Anybody wanting to buy one of these things are like hens. I’m going to try and not let the internal battery get a pounding so it will last longer. It’s probably not a replacement that can be easily found or fitted. The quality is superb. You can create your own designs, phrases, messages etc. very easy once you’ve got the hang of it. It’s a very bright LED unit, even on 10% brightness it can be seen in your rear window. Very impressed with this unit especially the internal battery so no trail of wires needed except when you need to recharge the battery. You do that from your cigarette lighter car socket.
