## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-08-03

Focused a lot on on-boarding and helping users get to first insight. Along with better iCloud sync and import/export of data for premium users.

- NEW: Home grid: 24 emoji slots (was 21).
- NEW: Guided onboarding — refreshed goal welcome (compact layout); smarter skip for returning insight users; first-insight sheet polish.
- NEW: Insights: Free users — first insight always visible; watch a short ad or subscribe to view the other two for this visit (ad unlock does not use daily quota). iOS tracking prompt may appear for ad personalization (UK/EEA privacy form before ads when required).
- IMPROVED: Better local and cloud storage for users with 2K+ activities. Smoother edits with large histories — background save/prep; data still written on backgrounding and iCloud sync
- IMPROVED: For premium users, CSV backup — export/import custom emojis, goals, target activity window, and full history; dated filename range.
- IMPROVED: Faster History rendering for "This Year" and "All Time" — recent activities first, older ones load as you scroll.
- IMPROVED: Clearer goal editor section labels when creating or editing a goal.
- IMPROVED: Accessibility improvements for onboarding, goals, and History loading states.
- FIX: List view: newest first; Day view: recent activity days first (no blank days in All Time).
- FIX: iCloud Sync — safer reinstall restore, true merge sync, manual Restore from iCloud, stable backup counts on About; target activity window restores via iCloud too.
- Anonymous usage analytics to improve MojiTrack via Firebase. Your activity history remains on-device / iCloud only.
- Now Requires iOS 26+ (not available on iOS 18–25).
- iOS 27 support — tested and tuned for the new system UI (Liquid Glass, light/dark).

### 1.2 — 2026-06-02

Small bug fixes, and more for Free users.

1. No more ads!: Removed rewarded ad requirement for Free user insights. Free users now get 3 insight generations per tracking day (one insight shown each time).
2. Bug fix: Fixed cases where Premium insights could disappear after subscribing or pulling to refresh. All users can pull down to reload Insights. Free reloads that fetch new insights count against your daily quota; revisiting a period from on-device cache does not.
3. Bug: Editing a merged activity shows the full time range, not just one segment. Fill gap defaults save on the first try without overlap errors.
4. Offline Insights: Improved behavior for offline insights. Cached insights still show when you’re offline from cache. When the network is needed and unavailable, a connectivity empty state explains the situation; standard insights may still appear when they can be computed locally.
5. Enhancements: Free users can now enhance activity by adding notes from the activity log. Enhancements improve the quality of generated insights.

### 1.1 — 2026-05-15

1. Insights Bug Fix: Fixed AI summaries for "Last Week" and "Last Month" periods when responses were cut off, so you get usable results instead of empty insights.
2. Timer Feature: Clearer multitasking and sub-timer flow, with easier access to your emoji grid while a session is running and a confirmation when changing the main activity.
3. Accessibility — VoiceOver: Home — clearer Stop labeling, combined multitasking controls, hints on the idle “start tracking” prompt, and a labeled + hinted sub-timer picker sheet. Insights — period range header, loading label and value, combined AI notices and empty/error copy, hints on unlock actions (watch ad / subscribe), each insight spoken as one summary with AI thumbs hints; debug-only lines hidden from VoiceOver. (Other tabs and the paywall sheet are not part of this pass.)
4. Accessibility — Dynamic Type: Home emoji grid, active timer and sub-timer sizing, Trends chart height and breakdown columns, day and multi-day timeline row heights and ruler widths, History log emoji rows, About hero and icons, Share Feedback (scrollable editor with scaled minimum height), and Add Custom Emoji preview + search grid.
5. History / day Bug Fix: Midnight boundary fixes when editing activities so end times save correctly at day edges, and overnight primary sessions stay grouped and shown on the correct reporting days instead of merging awkwardly across midnight.
6. Day timeline: Cleaner layout for the live timer row, deduplicated hour labels on the ruler, swipe to delete for grouped in-progress sessions, and sub-timer badges that match grouped entries.
7. Trends: Header shows Basic Trends or Premium Trends so the tier is obvious at a glance.
8. Free tier (Insights): Unlock state resets when you change the time range, so each period behaves predictably (still tied to your subscription / rewarded flow). Pull to refresh on Insights is premium only; free tier relies on changing the range or revisiting the tab to reload.
9. iCloud sync: If your activity history on the device ever shows empty but a recent iCloud backup still has sessions, the app pulls those entries back instead of overwriting the cloud with an empty snapshot. Sync also waits for a working network path and retries automatically after you’re back online (toggle unchanged in About).
