## What is Mokuroku?

A list that starts from “I might not get everything.”

Keep the things you buy and pack in one catalog. Before you head out, tap the ones you need.
They’re numbered 1, 2, 3… in the order you tapped them — and that order is today’s priority.

Mokuroku deliberately never sorts by store aisle. On a day when you’re short on time,
when the shelf is empty, or when your hands are full, you want to start with what matters most.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Build a catalog of things you buy or pack (paste a list from another app in one go)
2. Tap what you need, in the order you want it
3. Take the slip with you and check things off

WHAT YOU MISSED JUST STAYS
A slip you didn’t finish is still there, ready to pick up where you left off.
You decide when it’s over. Mokuroku never ends it for you.
When you’re done with a slip, delete it on the home screen and it moves to History.
Sold out isn’t the only reason something goes unbought. Sometimes you just changed your mind.

BUILD IT NOW, USE IT LATER
Build next week’s packing list today and add to it whenever something comes to mind.
On the day you head out, just use it.
Each slip shows whether it’s Not started, In use, or All done — so you can see at a glance.

NOT ONLY FOR SHOPPING
Packing for a trip. Checking your emergency supplies. Chores. Work.
Anywhere you pick today’s share out of a fixed set, it works the same way.
Pick a starter catalog the first time you open it.

ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO GO
Send a finished slip straight into a message.
Whoever gets it can read it as a plain shopping list — no app required.
If they do use Mokuroku, they can pull it straight in.

APPLE WATCH
Open the slip you’re working on and check items off from your wrist.
Finish the trip without taking your iPhone out (requires Pro’s iCloud sync).

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Home Screen widget — keep a slip in progress on your Home Screen and check items off right there
• Tap order is priority order, carried straight into your slip
• Group items so you can find them
• Pin the ones you use often to the top
• Paste a list from another app (bullets and numbering are stripped automatically)
• Checked items sink, so what’s next is always at the top
• Build a slip now and leave it until the day you need it
• Pin the catalogs you use most to the top
• History of finished slips, and one tap to build the same one again
• Tap Edit at the top of a slip to fix its name, order, and quantities in one place
• On iPhone Duo, unfolded: home and slip side by side, and a catalog next to Create a slip
• Clear out history in bulk
• Send a slip as text (the person receiving it doesn’t need the app)
• Export as text — paste it back to restore
• Dark mode and Dynamic Type

FREE AND PRO
Everything above works in the free version, including export and sending slips.
The free version shows a banner at the bottom of the screen. Your catalogs and slips stay on your device.

Pro is a one-time purchase that adds three things:
• No ads
• Styles — set the screen's background color (Washi, Indigo, Ink, Fresh green, Cherry) or use your own photo
• iCloud sync — the same catalogs and slips on your iPhone and Apple Watch

WHAT IT DOESN’T DO
• Sort by store aisle (on purpose)
• Ask you to sign up
• Use what’s in your catalogs or slips for advertising

In the free version your catalogs and slips stay on your device.
With Pro’s iCloud sync it travels between your devices through your own iCloud account.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-11-02

Mokuroku now makes full use of iPhone Duo when it's unfolded.

• Home and slip, side by side
Unfolded, your home screen sits on the left and the slip you pick opens on the right. Switch between slips mid-shop without losing your list. Check something off on the right, and its "In use" mark on the left updates right away.

• Pick items and set quantities at the same time
Open a catalog and its items appear on the left, with Create a slip on the right. Each item you tap lines up on the right in priority order, where you can change the quantity and create the slip on the spot.

• One photo across the whole screen
If your Style is a photo, it now spreads across the entire unfolded screen as a single picture.

Folded, and on other iPhone models, everything works just as before.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-31

Each slip is now one clean page.

• "Close" at the top left
The back arrow is gone. Tap Close to go straight back to the home screen, with no questions asked. The slip stays where it is, and the home screen shows whether it's Not started, In use, or All done.

• Fix everything with "Edit" at the top right
Change the name, the order, the quantities, and remove or add items, all on one screen. It's the same screen you use to make a slip.

• Done with it? Delete it on the home screen
Swipe a slip left on the home screen and delete it, and it moves to History. From History, you can build the same slip again.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-16

Check things off right from your Home Screen.

• Home Screen widget
Put a shopping list or packing list that's in progress on your Home Screen. Tap the box to check an item off on the spot. Long-press the widget and choose "Edit Widget" to pick which list it shows. Three sizes: small, medium, and large.
※ Like Apple's Reminders, items you finish disappear.

• Long-press a catalog for a menu
Press and hold a catalog on the Home screen to get Rename, Change mark, Pin, and Delete all in one place. Swiping left to rename or delete, and swiping right to pin, still work just as before.

• Verified to work on the latest iOS 27, too.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-13

Give your catalogs a color and a mark.

• Choose a Style (background color)
Pick the color of the whole screen from five: Washi, Indigo, Ink, Fresh green, Cherry.
Rows turn faintly translucent, so the color you pick fills the screen.
※ Color styles are a Pro feature (the free version uses Washi).

• Use your own photo as the background (Pro)
Lay a photo from your library behind everything. Adjust strength and blur on the spot.
Item rows sit on frosted glass, so names stay readable over the photo.

• Put an emoji mark on a catalog
Pick an emoji for each catalog — a cat for "Our cat," a plane for "Travel."
The symbol icons are still there too.

• Drag an item into another group
Press and hold an item, carry it past another group's heading, and it joins that group.

• The default background is now off-white instead of white
A slightly warmer tone, like the washi paper in the app icon.

• A clearer way to fix a quantity
Swipe a slip item left and "Edit" comes first. You can change an existing quantity here too.

• Quantities now show on Apple Watch slips as well

### 1.2 — 2026-09-07

Slips now live in one place.

• The "Carried over" and "Set aside" sections are gone
Every slip sits in one list, tagged Not started, In use, or All done.
You no longer move a slip between states by hand.

• Enter a quantity
Bump each row with ＋ while you build a slip.
You can add a unit like "bottles" too (leave it empty and it shows as ×2).
Already made the slip? Swipe an item left and tap "Edit" to change it.

• A clearer way out of a slip
Haven't started it yet? Tap ＜ and leave. Nothing changes.
Once you've checked something off, "Finish" in the top right is the only way out,
so you decide whether to carry it over before you go. Nothing carries over silently.

• Fewer buttons on a slip
"Add items" is right there now, and the ⋯ menu is gone.
To reorder priorities, press and hold a row and drag it.

• Filter "Add items" by group
Catalog items are listed across groups, so you can narrow to Produce, Household, and so on.

• Keep a slip even after you've bought everything
When you finish, choose "Keep it" or "Move to history."

• Rename a slip after you've made it
Swipe a slip left on the home screen and tap "Rename."
Two slips made on the same day share a name, so you can tell them apart.

• "Done" is now "Finish"
Right after you made a slip, "Done" was ambiguous — done shopping,
  or done making the list?

• On Apple Watch, the slip’s name now shows small at the top

• Fixed some VoiceOver text that was still in Japanese
