The link to their policy refers to the general terms of service, which does not speak about privacy. Incredible that a company processing such sensitive data would not place data privacy at the forefront of everything they do. Also, the general terms are full of statements denying any kind of accountability for the way many people will be looking to use it. The company basically tell you to never rely on the app for medical diagnosis and to always consult a doctor. If they feel you can’t reliably use the app to determine whether you should go see a doctor, what’s the point? **Developer response:** We’d like to clarify that Skinive does have a full Privacy Policy, and it is publicly available. When you clicked on “Terms of Use” inside the app, the page that opened includes several tabs at the top: one for Terms of Use and one for Privacy Policy. You can also view both documents directly at https://skinive.com/terms/ — either from your phone or from a computer. Our Privacy Policy fully complies with GDPR and EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR Class I). It transparently explains how personal and health-related data are processed, stored, and protected. As for your other concerns — Skinive is a certified medical software designed to assist users in monitoring their skin health, not to replace a doctor. Medical regulations require us to remind users that AI-powered tools are intended to provide risk assessment and early detection support, not a final medical diagnosis.
