### 4/5 — Ótimo para analisar exames

*2019-05-02, version 2.19.1*

Eu adoro a forma com que o aplicativo te guia pelas funções disponívei. Realmente ajuda muito nos meus exames de pele.

### 4/5 — Helpful tracking skin spots

*2019-04-16*

I’ve had 2 cases of BCC in the past, and this app is helpful for tracking my moles. Used to worry so much about the time leading up to see a skin specialist but now it’s only a few days.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your personal experience and how you're making the most out of the MoleScope app! Glad we could help.

### 3/5 — Great app but

*2018-11-08*

Has been crashing so much since I updated and turned on fingerprint login.

Now I can’t open the app without it crashing, and on the once in a hundred times it does open, it crashes if I try to do anything.

Please fix

**Developer response:** Oh no! Sorry to hear about this, that must be frustrating. Our tech team is working to resolve the bug right away.

If you happen to encounter any other issues or would like to provide feedback for the MoleScope app, please email us at support@metaoptima.com. Thank you for using MoleScope!

### 4/5 — Recommended

*2018-09-01, version 2.7*

Very useful device, after initial problems with setup am finding it very useful to monitor moles.

### 4/5 — Easy to use and pretty thorough

*2017-12-20*

The app is easy to use and has all the features you really need. One version was buggy and would just not start up properly, but they fixed it. It would be nice to display the date the picture was taken when comparing pictures side by side. Sometimes it is hard to tell which one is the latest.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to write a constructive review. We're happy to let you know that the latest version (2.19.1) includes the dates when comparing dermoscopic images. Please provide us any other feedback at support@metaoptima.com.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — CRASHING

*2025-01-19*

Please help to stop the app crashing. I use this app to monitor my suspect moles. Now I can’t view body photography without the app crashing
Please help

### 1/5 — Deleted my photos and no way to get help

*2024-05-06, version 3.0*

Had been using this for a couple of years, then it randomly deleted the past 2 years of data and the photos that were left are blurry. There’s no way to contact anyone for help

### 1/5 — Privacy Policy Will Not Load

*2024-03-03*

When I tried to register, the privacy policy would not load. I was afraid to go any further because it is very private information. I was very disappointed because I’m eager to use the molescope I just bought.

### 1/5 — Free version doesn't get you much

*2016-08-28, version 1.10.1*

You have to pay to use the microscopic photos that overlay your own. Therefore there's no point to the app. You may as well keep your own photos of your moles and check them periodically.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2016-07-24*

After updating to 1.10 the app is no longer working - just a black screen showing

**Developer response:** Sorry for the bug trouble. Please know that our tech team has issued a number of updates since your review. We hope that you have found your way back to using the MoleScope app. For any future comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@metaoptima.com.

### 1/5 — Fail

*2016-05-25, version 1.9*

This App can only take photos, no analyse.

### 2/5 — Basic feature doesn’t work

*2019-06-10*

I can’t add a new spot. I select where it is on the body map and try to tap Next. Nothing happens. The Next word is being tapped - I know because it changes colour.

### 2/5 — Fine for one mole

*2018-01-07, version 2.6*

Trying to add more than one crashes the app and automatically closes the app down...

### 3/5 — Ok but could be better

*2021-06-12*

The app is helpful but please add the option to have different family members on 1 account. We have a family history of melanoma and would love to keep a record of myself and both of my children.

### 3/5 — Aktiven nicht möglich, Bilder gut

*2019-09-14, version 2.26*

Ich kann mein MoleScope nicht aktivieren, mir wird angezeigt, dass die Serienummer ungültig ist. Woran liegt das? Die Bilder gelingen überwiegend gut

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2024-07-24*

Great app!! Only suggestion would be to add the option to “star” or “favorite” a mole. When you have a lot of them it’s difficult to remember which ones you want to bring to your dermatologists attention. So just the option to mark a spot that maybe adds it to a separate folder so it’s easier to find so you can show your doctor instead of looking through them all. Otherwise a super useful and well thought out app.

### 5/5 — Get App simple to use :)

*2020-05-07*

I got a skin check from a doctor in Melbourne last year who created my MoleScope profile. It makes it super easy to track any changes to my skin and also communicate with him when I need to come back for a check up.

Recently I used the app to get a BCC diagnosed for my grandad who was in an aged care facility at the time.

The Australian government should definitely get behind this app and promote more skin checks.

### 5/5 — Very good app!

*2019-10-15*

Great app. A few things are missing though, while the app is very solid:

1) Share all your moles with a doctor rather than only one
2) Yearly subscription. I would love having cheaper version of service for each visit but on another hand yearly commitment
3) Mole area square size calculator, for app to track size over the time. You can allow users to paint out the mole on the image manually
4) “Coin feature”. Place coin on the photo to understand size of the mole. For those who do not have MoleScope device
5) Add toggle 2D/3D on the “Body map” page

### 5/5 — MoleScope

*2019-05-08, version 2.19.1*

Meu MoleScope acabou de chegar pelo correio e estou muito feliz! Ele se encaixa perfeitamente no meu celular e as imagens são incríveis! Eu nunca imaginei que minha pele se parecia assim quando vista de petro!

### 5/5 — Works good

*2019-03-27*

Huge fan, I love it. Have both the app and device.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the positive review!

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2019-03-12*

**Developer response:** Thanks for the five-star review! Happy mole tracking!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-02-27*

I love the 3D body map! I didn’t know there was any sort of app that let you create a digital copy of your moles. Definitely intuitive.

**Developer response:** We love the 3D body map too! Thanks for using MoleScope.

### 5/5 — Very useful app with the MoleScope device

*2018-07-27*

I love this app and using it with the MoleScope device is easy. Just open the app, add a mole by placing its location on the body template, take an overview photo of the mole, add the MoleScope attachment to your phone and then take the microscopic photo. The photos are all kept with the mole you placed and you can add more photos and notes. It keeps everything very organized and easy to check on mole changes. Very easy and useful!!

**Developer response:** Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We're happy to hear that you're making full use of the MoleScope line.

### 5/5 — Super

*2017-05-23, version 2.2*

Super Qualität der Fotos, mein Dermatologe war sehr begeistert! So benutzerfreundlich 😊

### 4/5 — Great way to document skin issues

*2022-01-25*

This is an elegant little app. Has nice functionality for documenting various regions of the body.

Suggestion:

1. needs a way to change dates on the photos. I took the first photos for use with this app about a month before I got around to uploading them. It would be nice to date the photos based on when they were taken, not when they were uploaded.

2. Needs a timer function for taking the close-up photos of moles. That way you could frame the mole without having to try to use a third hand to snap the picture.

3. It would be useful to be able to go to the photos of a body region and be able to swipe through the images sequentially.

4. Could use method to verify that the photos have been stored on the account.

Nice app.
