## What is MolVanilla?

MolVanilla is a chemical structure editor for iPhone and iPad. Build molecules with atoms, bonds, rings, functional groups, abbreviations, alkyl chains, and repeat units.

View formula, molecular weight, exact mass, and isotope m/z. Export as SMILES, Molfile, or JSON. MolVanilla also includes structure cleanup, local saving, 3D viewing, property estimation, ¹H/¹³C NMR prediction, and MS fragment prediction.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-13

Added editable CDXML export for use in ChemDraw. Formula-like labels now display numbers as subscripts, and NMR spectrum zooming and horizontal navigation have been improved. Server calculations now use a credit-based system. We also fixed image and Molfile filenames and extensions, and prevented terminal atom and abbreviation labels from being clipped in exported images.

Added SMILES and Molfile import, plus transparent PNG, PDF, and SVG export. This update also adds reaction arrows and text, structure alignment and flipping, isotope labels, atom numbers, and faster reuse and control of analysis results.

Improved structure appearance and editing. Atom labels are easier to read, stereobonds and bond crossings render more clearly, hit testing for atoms, bonds, and repeat brackets is more accurate, and fine positioning is smoother. Proximity warnings can now be toggled in Settings.
