I had imported some and they are in the User section of the LUT selector but I can't tap on them to make them active. The app is otherwise great, love the natural processing, instead of apple fusion, but the delay is a functional hazard! The image and video quality is fantastic but far too many times now it hasn't saved my videos. An app can have a million features but what's the point if it doesn't save your files? It's a common issue and it's a big one. I can't use it as a serious tool in its current state as I can't trust it. One gripe- when I hit the “x” to leave photo mode, I wish it would actually close photo mode and go back to the live camera view. Instead I have to mash the “x” about 15 times before it will actually work. ### 4/5 — Unable to revert *2026-08-23, version 1.3.1* The app works wonderfully and judt as advertised. The one flaw I find is that I’m unable to revert the program to original settings without deleting and reinstalling. Is there simple fix? ### 2/5 — They disable 2x telephoto *2026-08-21, version 1.3.1* My iPhone has one camera that has 1x and 2x telephoto native. Most apps support this but moment disables it because they have physical lenses they are trying to sell you. Unfortunately we cannot control this, but force restarting your device as follows should fix it: 1. Press and quickly release the volume up button. 2. Press and quickly release the volume down button. 3. Press and hold the side button. 4. Instead, it uses the wide (24mm) lens with a digital zoom to match the focal length of the 100mm lens. You can verify this by covering the telephoto camera with your finger while focusing on something close. If you want similar results in Pro Camera, just use the 24mm option and zoom in about 4x. ### 2/5 — Having issues *2026-07-26, version 1.2.1* Bought this one a used for a bit and prefer the moment camera app 1, except the other one doesn’t have the wb like this one, this app keeps crashing while zooming which is annoying, and also I can’t redownload the other app. ### 4/5 — Amazing value *2026-07-21* I rarely pay for apps, but I decided to give this a try and I genuinely believe it’s worth the money. This app lets you capture a “moment” with all of its flaws which I love to be able to do. My only suggestion would be if there’s any workaround that would let us see the preview image being as close as the one taken since the difference can be quite noticeable. **Developer response:** We’re working on it! Unfortunately there are a number of iOS limitations that get in the way. ### 4/5 — perfect... nearly *2026-07-14* and the fact that i can add my own luts is absolutely bonkers! the only caveat is that when i use the launch control from the lock screen its always defaults to the video...... no matter what settings ive set before and the icon on that launch control.. when you are in customisation screen it have a correct size, but when you leave it - it goes smaller and it looks weird **Developer response:** Glad you like it! Lost 9% charge from that alone, and my phone got so hot I had to close the app before I finished. ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ) Stabilization is good, roughly on par with Default mode on Blackmagic’s camera app. If you’re shooting handheld without a gimbal depending on your project, you might consider Cinematic or Extreme stabilization on Blackmagic instead. I’m running a SmallRig cage, and Moment’s stabilization works decently with that setup, tho sometimes I'm switching to Blackmagic. Excited for the advanced stabilization update which I guess is in the works? Pairing a Bluetooth mic before recording sometimes scrambles my capture settings — no idea why, but it resets once I disconnect. Can be fixed manually in the meantime. Feature requests: 1-5 easily reachable custom function buttons, the ability to delete/edit WB presets, 1-5sec slow shutter, 5+ burst shots for action and a false color option. I know Moment is a small team, and I’m hoping to see fixes soon — heating and battery drain are the top priorities. If there’s a way to send LOGs directly to the devs, I’ll gladly do that. Btw just saw your edits. My bad. Your previous update did fix it a bit I think. Not quite ready for this to be my go to yet though. The only huge problem I’ve had occurs when quickly opening the app, snapping a photo, and closing the app. The photo won’t save! This is unfortunately a consistent issue, and a pretty demoralizing one. I want to use this app all the time but I need to be confident that my camera will take photos! I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to photography, but I know that the pictures I take look 10x better using this app than they do using my built in camera app. lately I’ve had to resort to the apple camera though, because every time I try to use moment camera it gets all over-exposed and blurry and acts like it’s lagging. moment ii was my go-to before this glitch and I plan to go back as soon as it’s fixed, if it can be fixed. please help!!😭 **Developer response:** It sounds like you might have entered ISO priority mode by accident. That said, a few gaps are keeping it from being truly perfect. The stabilization is solid, but I'd love granular control over the intensity levels — specifically tuning Cinematic and Extreme to match what Blackmagic Camera offers. Right now there's no way to dial it in precisely. Viewfinder overlays and tools frequently vanish mid-recording, and it gets worse as the iPhone heats up. Slow shutter and burst mode are missing, which limits the app for light streak and sports photography. Speaking of heat: my iPhone 17 Pro runs noticeably hotter with this app than it does with Blackmagic Camera under comparable conditions. Worth investigating. Finally, the ability to re-customize White Balance shortcuts would be big. I seriously cannot rely on this app. I use my DJI mic to record audio with the app. It is off sync. They say it’s because I mirrored my phone to my MacBook; to use as an external monitor. Recently did another recording no screen sharing and the audio is slightly off sync. I am so busy. If you guys send a link for me to upload files instead of having me upload a file on my own time that would be helpful. I’m not an employee. I should not have to work more. Me having to explain this issue is already too much of my time. Very disappointed. An issue spanning the last 3 months. ### 1/5 — Won’t let you shoot true Manuel *2026-06-24, version 1.1.12* App is a waste of time, half the time I put in my Manuel settings it just shoots in auto. Don’t Buy! ### 1/5 — Review *2026-06-15, version 1.1.11* There is no point to this app. In "Natural" mode, the image has so much noise that it is completely unusable. Moreover, the algorithm corrects for vignetting in such a way that the noise is more pronounced at the edges of the frame, and overexposure becomes visible. The built-in camera produces a better image than this app. ### 1/5 — I see no reason to spend another dollar here *2026-05-28* The same 243 photos taken in your app still won’t sync to iCloud after a week, even after iOS beta updates and troubleshooting. Not a single dollar I’ve spent here has been productive. The add-on lenses added almost nothing to image quality, and I’m now trying to refund the rest of the order that hasn’t shipped yet. At this point I’d rather downgrade to an iPhone SE, put the money toward a real camera, and stay away from anything Moment-branded entirely. Modern smartphones already feel like data-harvesting screens. A photography app that can’t reliably move photos between Apple devices just makes that feeling worse. I just wanted nice pictures of my kids’ continuation and graduation, but instead hundreds of photos are sitting in limbo somewhere for over a week. Super cool. Nothing says “capturing moments” quite like wondering whether family memories are trapped in an app ecosystem for no reason. **Developer response:** iCloud sync issues are largely out of our control (especially if you’re on an iOS beta version as you mentioned elsewhere), but there could be a format issue. If they built it once, why is it so difficult to add into this new app? Look elsewhere. I honestly bought it blindly but I was genuinely in awe with the way the developers respond to every review, and most of the reviews themselves are positive. I don’t really know much about cameras but I intend to learn, AND I really love the shots I’ve been able to get with this app so far. I’ve been in the beta, and it’s been genuinely cool to watch the app improve and see how responsive the devs are. Little by little it’s become my go-to for anything shot with intention (vlogs, stock footage, client shoots, slow shutter tracking), native camera still wins for short, last-minute grabs. Between this and Blackmagic Camera, Moment Pro 2 beta is winning me over, Blackmagic feels cluttered and buggier by comparison. I could see this becoming my only camera app before long. Stabilization in the beta feels smoother than before too, though unconfirmed, and I’m excited for the advanced stabilization update. This app has been amazing, to say the least. It unlocks pretty much every possible feature available (within the API's limits of course, we'll get back to that) and makes it all available in a fairly simple interface. Now - if you are new to photography and never used a proper DSLR or SLR film camera, many of the controls and features in this app will mean absolutely nothing to you. I suggest you keep at it and just play with the sittings (or look up a tutorial) because it is absolutely worth learning how to use these features, and Moment Pro Camera II makes it easy to access them. The auto-settings are pretty much identical to how Apple runs them (even down to the thing that lead me to buy this app - the LiDAR autofocus on iPhones focuses on your window rather than outside of the window!) but this app gives a darn easy interface for manually setting your focus! Something Apple doesn't even give you! This alone is amazing in general, and the fact that the developers went through the effort of adding a green glow to items currently in focus has been quite helpful for taking quick shots whilst on the move in full sunlight. Now, on that API thing; I noticed shooting video at 120fps caused it to shoot in slow-mo and reached out to the developers. Very promptly, the developers replied to me and explained what the issue was and how it was just a feature of how Apple runs the camera on the back-end. The developers spent a while researching it, and reached back out to me a few months later to tell me that they were unable to find a solution. It's so rare to find a developer team willing to take the time to do tech support in general, and it's even more rare to find a team willing to take the time to reach out to you months after your question was answered. I love the app, and I love the team behind it. If you're thinking of buying it, buy it. This app is well worth the purchase! ### 5/5 — Request: Disable Front Camera Button During Shooting *2026-06-30* I find the Moment app extremely useful for everyday shooting. Recently, I often use only the Moment app and my iPhone for my personal work. I especially like the natural image quality, and overall I’m very satisfied with the app. I have one feature request: could you please add an option to hide or disable the front camera switch button? When shooting with the iPhone 17 Pro, I sometimes accidentally tap the front camera switch button while trying to switch lenses from 24mm to 100mm, since the button is placed close to the 100mm option. When I’m focused on shooting, suddenly seeing my own face on the screen really breaks my concentration. If I want to take selfies, I use the native iPhone Camera app. For Moment, it would be extremely helpful to have a rear-camera-only mode, or an option to disable the front camera switch. I understand there may be technical or design limitations, but I would really appreciate it if you could consider adding this feature.
