I wrote a long journal entry a month ago, but it failed to save properly and got stuck as a draft. Now I cannot open or delete it — the app crashes immediately whenever I tap on these broken drafts. I’ve tried common troubleshooting steps already: force-quitting the app, restarting my phone, and updating iOS twice, but none worked. There’s a huge flaw with it. People have different ways of journaling. Sometimes you feel like removing a large number of entries at the same time. This app does not allow you to select a group of journal entries and delete them. It seems like a big mistake on behalf of the app creators. No one wants to go and delete one journal entry after another. Besides that, I loved the app. I loved that there wasn’t AI interfering with my writing and giving feedback; it was just a place to document thoughts. It’s a journal - not a therapist who responds to what you say. If they fix that issue, I’d gladly give it five stars. But the developer never released the promised iPad version and when the Facebook sync stopped working they blamed Facebook and didn’t fix it. I even recently renewed! However, I have been trying to contact you since the beginning of October to no avail. Zendesk is is of zero help with my issue. I keep being asked to upgrade my subscription to obtain features I already (had) access to. As Premium Gold shouldn’t there also be a degree of expedited customer service? My Ticket number is #9603. I have been doing a diary since 2016 and have gone back and the photos and videos have gone. No one will reply to my emails. I would have given more stars but only when they help me! I wrote this some time! Still waiting but I do enjoy being able to write my diary. Also very annoyingly you can’t sync from iPhone to Ipad which seems ridiculous with all the technology that goes into making the app in the first place! Unfortunately it appears to no longer be supported. You can’t upgrade / unlock the most useful features, and everything crashes when you try. Lots of major bugs that are central to its brand promise (like that you can connect it to different apps but that doesn’t work), and no one answers their customer service emails. I’ve tried for months and am past the window Apple allows now for refunds so I bought a year of access for something I never use. Super disappointed. Don’t bother downloading! There is supposed to be a way to export files, but I always get an error message and customer service has never responded when I’ve reached out (multiple times). Now many features which were included in previous premium lifetime account have been removed and are now locked in a subscription-based paywall. There’s no grandfathering, I can’t retain previous benefits. Very disappointing. I have reached out using their support, and their email, and I’ve gotten no reply and no help. Rest in peace Momento. Momento is such an easy to you and amazing app that becomes some what of a library of (in my case) revelations, insights, dreams…. The way the app is structured is really helpful. The free version is seriously good, however after reading the notes about the small development team in England that created this and the integrity the note seemed to convey that they honor I signed up for the annual subscription. I know that it will only enhances my already good experience. I remember one time a few years ago for some reason I lost all of the journal entries and I hadn’t yet exported a back up copy from the app. I was so sad about this and in shock, I messaged the developers and I for sure prayed and seriously, I think 2 weeks later, all of the entries were restored and for years since the app has been amazing. I especially like that there no outside sales ads!! Happy user here, who has recommended this app to others who also seem to be happy with it. Worth the paid subscription- in part just because of the awesome team behind this alone. It felt like the closest thing I could get to being a digital version of my journals I kept as a kid with the little locks on it. Its very simple. But thats what I like about it. I was initially just looking for a way to keep track of my thoughts. Over time, I have found the reminders of entries made in previous years, to be a great tool in reflecting on things. The app has a easy-to-use, clean and straightforward interface, and takes up less than 50MB of space!!! I have happily paid for the annual subscription for a couple years now as the pricing seems perfectly reasonable for what you get and I always try to support developers who make software that does what it's intended to do, and does it really well. I've tried other journalling apps over the years, but I always find that either they don't quite have the right feature set, a good user experience or interface, ... or one or more other things that this app just has, seen to be missing. If you want a journal app that has all the elements you could look for in a journal app, then give this free app a try. Once you start using this app regularly, a subscription will seen the next logical step to both maximise your usage of the app but critically support the devs, and you'll very likely be shocked to see how affordable the anual subscription is, ... just think about all your other subscriptions, and whether things that you pay more for are used quite as often as this app is, ... and if you find that you use this ap more often, then that's gotta make the subscription worth it! IF I had to pick one issue with the app, I'd say that the user experience for users of assistive technology like screen readers, could be tidied up a bit or made nicer, there might be one or two unlabelled buttons here and there, and it's not quite as easy to contact the devs from within the app about feedback/reports. Overall, an excellent app that does what it is intended to do, plus an annual subscription that is both useful and affordable.
