### 2/5 — Free app with no free functionality

*2026-03-26, version 1.1*

No free features.

### 2/5 — One of the worst apps I think I have used

*2026-03-22, version 1.1*

The app is really just a glorified paid habit tracker from my initial impressions.
The accountability relies on you to have found people, I thought the selling point was that you can join groups with likeminded people, but the number of squads is so limiting.

### 2/5 — The habit of reaching into my pocket?

*2026-02-11, version 1.1*

This “habit forming” app wants to give me a three day trial before purchasing an annual subscription. Three days. To form habits. Unless I’ve been given an “invite code.” By some insider perhaps. Then you get a week.

### 3/5 — Requires a purchase

*2026-01-02, version 1.0.7*

The app looks really good but its a subscription so if you’re looking for something free this is not it

### 3/5 — Cool concept but needs work

*2025-12-11, version 1.0.7*

This app has potential. I wish it had more customization. I find the social section on the dashboard unnecessary and crowded. I would use this app without the social function and would love the option to hide it. Curious about their product roadmap

### 2/5 — 2 days free trial

*2025-11-12, version 1.0.6*

Only 2 days of free trial! It takes around 66 days to form an habit, but they don’t even give 7 days to check if this system works.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2025-10-12, version 1.0.5*

I have followed Ali Abdaal for so long and I extremely love his videos so I knew this app would be amazing but not happy there are no free features so deleted it. Treated like the rest of the paywall apps.

### 2/5 — Pay Wall

*2025-09-20, version 1.0.3*

I wish this had more options for paying and that there was a free tier option where we have access to the basics and have to pay more for certain elements. The only subscription available is a year subscription...and it's kind of pricey in this economy.

I love the webinar and was looking forward to this app, but I am not in the best financial state rn. It's not very exclusive of Ali to be honest. No hate but I am disappointed.

### 3/5 — Would like a free trial

*2025-09-15, version 1.0.3*

I was very interested in the app, and I even thought about creating one myself some time ago. Even though I like the commitment part, I don’t like being charged without trying the app for a few days.

It looks like a good idea, and I will definitely use it if there is an option to use free features or pay after a free trial period or a demo.

### 3/5 — Too Buggy to have launched yet

*2025-09-15, version 1.0.3*

I was trying to create an account and it kept on returning to the screen to sign up as if I had not already signed up and even subscribed with a one week trial and be $49 per year after that which is perfectly reasonable for what this app looks like it’s going to be but due to the issues of trying to login. I have been unable to utilize it. I’m hoping that it can be resolved soon because this does look like a really good app. I am a huge fan of Ali and his general attitude towards life as well as his projects so I was disappointed that it did not want to work for me when I tried signing up. Hopefully this can be resolved soon and then I can check out the app in earnest.

### 2/5 — The value isn’t there (yet)

*2025-09-14, version 1.0.3*

I’m a long time follower of Ali Abdaal, so I was excited to try this app. Unfortunately it’s just not worth it. For starters - there’s zero free experience features, so you either pay $2 for a trial, commit to a full subscription, or have a referral code for a free trial that requires you to agree to a subscription (easy to cancel, but still frustrating when you haven’t been able to use the app at all yet). Secondly, the app is very basic - you enter habits and track them, there’s reminders, and in the future a peer accountability option. These features aren’t novel, nor are they delivered in a novel fashion, and these features exist in many other free apps. As someone who has valued the work Ali has done, it was disheartening to experience. Perhaps future updates will include free features and a premium tier, but it’s not there yet. As it is - this app cannot justify being a subscription app.

### 1/5 — It’s a no for me

*2025-09-12, version 1.0.3*

Unskippable intro screens , no free trial, demands login BEFORE you find out about the price. Only Apple login option. Customers expect transparency up front, it hidden behind a mandatory sign up to artificially inflate numbers. Do better.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App crashed upon signing up and billed me for full year without a choice to refund

*2026-04-30, version 1.1*

Probably the most insane app I ever tried. I was signing up then the app continually crashed. Then apparently, that is good enough to still ensure I’m billed after the trial which I didn’t even get to do because the app kept crashing even after reinstalling it. So I thought, maybe I just won’t be able to try it. Then I saw a charge on my card. I explained what happened and yet I’m still not refunded even if I didn’t even get to try it. This is really ridiculous to be charged $88 for an app that doesn’t work. Please please don’t even to a trial. It is so hard to get a refund, no customer service whatsoever. You will be left dead in the water.

### 1/5 — Feels like it’s in the beta phase

*2025-12-31, version 1.0.7*

TL;DR App is very glitchy, don’t bother. Not worth $80/year.

When you sign in with Google, it will ask you to grant access to a sketchy pleasant-blackbird-211.convex.site. I figured since I know the creators, I’ll accept.

Then, when I tried to redeem a 1-week voucher, it took me back to the Apple Store app to accept the promo, then back to the Momentum app - except that the page was blank and didn’t seem like the voucher had been redeemed at all. When I tried redeeming it again, the App Store said “Sorry, this voucher has already been redeemed by this account.”

When I advanced to the next screen, it showed me an option for a 3-day trial.

I quit the app and reopened it. Had to go through the intro screens again (no option to skip), and then when I tried to sign in again, it said, “Failed to update user profile. Please try again later.”

Overall, it feels far too unpolished to demand $80/year.

### 1/5 — Think twice!

*2025-12-14, version 1.0.7*

First things first: when I first got the app, I was excited to use it and to give it my 100%. I believe I gave about 90%. I tracked my habits for almost one month and was happy with the results.

Then the app started kicking me out. I had to log in again about once a week, and then almost every other day there were updates that logged me out. Each time, I had to log back in and watch all the intro content again, which at this point felt endless and very frustrating.

Now, whenever I try to log in, all of my data seems to be deleted. It’s asking me to make a new payment, and I can’t restore my habit history. I stopped using the app for one week and tried again, but the same thing happened.

I ended up wasting $90, and I regret getting this app. I love Ali’s courses and his content overall, but this experience has been terrible. I’m very disappointed, and I still haven’t heard back from the last email I sent them earlier this month.

### 1/5 — Overpriced and annoyed for wasting my time

*2025-12-04, version 1.0.6*

Some nice ideas in this app but alas I’m tired of overpriced subscription creep and feeling tricked in to wasting 15 minutes on setup and watching primer videos only to hit a paywall or 3 day free trial that will auto-charge you ~£40-50 if you forget to unsubscribe. Same old same old, expected a less formulaic SaaS model from an app associated with the brand of Ally Abdul - annoyed me enough to bother providing this feedback!

### 1/5 — Can’t use the app

*2025-10-14, version 1.0.5*

I used the invite code and it asked me for yearly subscription after free trial as expected. After selecting the plan it is again asking me for invite codes. I can’t get to try the app.

### 1/5 — No free trial- and a bug at the first step!!

*2025-09-18, version 1.0.3*

Disappointed that there is no free trial - still, based on following you for so long I decided to risk it. Signed up and went to create my custom habit and it didn’t allow it! So selected one from the existing list and hit the next restriction! Disappointed. Deleted my subscription within the first 5 mins! I’ll wait till this it’s properly tested and established.

### 1/5 — No use

*2025-09-18*

Should have mentioned on the Instagram only that it is a paid subscription.

### 1/5 — Not worth the cost

*2025-09-17, version 1.0.3*

You have to login/signup before it then tells you that you have to pay for the app. Once paid, the app is average at best compared to other habit apps (I’ve tried out lots). The habit tracker at the top of the Habits page is nice, but everything else is way too average to be paid for. I expected more from these creators.

### 1/5 — Needs to have free features.

*2025-09-16, version 1.0.3*

I like the idea, but there needs to be a way to try it for free, even with limited features. I want to know if it’s actually useful for me before committing any money.

### 1/5 — Needs More

*2025-09-12, version 1.0.3*

This is a cool idea, but it doesn’t offer anything that you couldn’t get with a free habit tracker app. The idea of having community engagement and developing squads is really cool but it’s currently unavailable. And currently the cost is two dollars a week which is way too high considering that right now there’s very little. And the UI for it is super basic. I would not purchase until there’s more content and is drastically cheaper.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Too much money

*2026-01-04, version 1.0.7*

I love Ali and I’ve been following his content for three years now I feel that his content is still good, but he is focused on making money. I think there’s a lot of potential for the app and I think that they should make a free version and a paid version to allow people to experience the app and allow Ali to still make money.

### 5/5 — Squads are so helpful

*2025-12-21, version 1.0.7*

I’ve tried a ton of habit trackers before, and always end up dropping off due to a lack of accountability… since trying on Momentum’s squads feature I’ve had a 50+ day streak & even helped some friends build 30+ day streaks on habits they’d struggle with before. You should give it a try! 🔥

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2025-10-28*

Keeps me consistent on my habits

### 5/5 — Really good

*2025-09-27, version 1.0.4*

The only productivity app that worked for me. Can you allow more late check-ins? And I accidentally erased the exercise snap on Sep 21st. Is it possible to recover it? Thank you very much for inventing this.

### 5/5 — Absolute game-changer 🙌

*2025-09-24, version 1.0.4*

This app is an absolute game-changer for helping you to be more consistent with habits that you know are good for you and will make you more energised but are all to easy to ‘forget’ to do or just avoid. I’ve already been so much more consistent thanks to the accountability I feel through the squad I’m part of 🙌

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful

*2025-09-24, version 1.0.4*

I didnt realize how much the squads could help me stay on track!

### 5/5 — GreatMVP

*2025-09-16, version 1.0.3*

The purpose and philosophy behind this product is great, the features are easy to use and customizable. I think this is a good start for the app, all the below 5 star reviews are mostly people who expected it to be free (which y’all come on, they gotta get paid somehow ) or expected a free trial (which I understand). I do think creating incentives to bring family members & friends would be nice ( since a huge aspect of the value is groups ). Maybe the invites can have discounts or free trials?

To be blunt, I highly recommend Free trials, this would raise the ratings for the app and also pls be frank with the pricing plans upfront ( in videos and first line of description in the app ) So far, I’m enjoying it. Honestly, get the product if you think establishing and sustaining life long habits is worth the money AND if you have faith they’ll continue adding content and resources ( which I do ). But if you’re unfamiliar with the creators, and uncomfortable with the pricing. Wait. Use a free habit tracker until you feel comfortable trying this one out. Supporting and rooting for you guys 🔥🔥

### 5/5 — Accountability Squads + Habit Trackers = Happy + Healthy You ✨

*2025-09-10, version 1.0.3*

I love the idea of having an accountability squad, really keeps you going and you don’t want to let other people down, let alone yourself! I also like that you can see what habits you stay consistent with and what you need to improve on, and it’s cool you can see the % of how consistent you’ve been each day, week and month 🙌🏻

### 5/5 — Incredible app

*2025-09-09, version 1.0.3*

Been consistent with stretching for way longer than I’ve ever done in the past :)

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2025-09-16, version 1.0.3*

I love this app, it’s super simple and it works for me. The social media /Strava for habits pitch works for my brain chemistry.
BUT PLEASE make it so that we can like and comment on our squad’s journal entries / photos! PLEASE!!
