## What is Momentum · Focus & Protection?

Momentum is an iOS focus and time-protection app that works through rules, not willpower.  It uses Apple's native Screen Time technology to shield you from distractions, guard your decisions, and show you where your time actually goes.

FOCUS — Real App Blocking
When you start a focus session, Momentum uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to block the apps you've chosen at the OS level.  This isn't a pop-up reminder — the apps simply can't be opened until your session ends.  Blocking is enforced by iOS itself.

• Create tasks and schedules with custom durations
• Save focus templates and reuse them in one tap
• Adjust your Focus Blocklist during a session
• Review a post-session summary report when you finish

CALM PROTECTION — Stop Impulsive Decisions
Late at night or during a low moment, it's easy to impulsively delete an app or sign up for a subscription you'll regret.  Calm Protection lets you:
• Prevent apps from being deleted (system-level lock)
• Block in-app purchases and new subscriptions
• Schedule protection windows that turn on and off automatically
• Save multiple protection plans and switch between them

TIME ANALYSIS — See Your Real Patterns
Momentum logs every focus session and uses a DeviceActivity report extension to surface which apps consume your attention and when.  Real data, clearly visualized, so you can make better decisions about your time.

PRIVACY FIRST — 100% On-Device
Momentum has no accounts, no servers, no analytics SDKs, and no ads. Everything — your tasks, history, Focus Blocklist, and protection settings — lives only on your device.  We have no access to any of it.
