## What is MoMo Companion?

MoMo is a voice-first companion for the moments you carry silently.

If you're the one everyone leans on - capable at work, holding it together at home - MoMo is a private space to set some of that down. Talk out loud or type. No judgment, no advice you didn't ask for, no streaks or guilt. Just a companion that listens, remembers, and helps you make sense of what you're feeling.

WHY MOMO IS DIFFERENT

• It remembers. Most chatbots forget you the moment you close them. MoMo builds a gentle, private memory of the themes, patterns, and cycles in your life - so every conversation picks up where the last one left off, instead of starting over.

• Voice-first. Tap the mic and just talk. When you're depleted, speaking is easier than typing. MoMo can reply out loud, too.

• It notices patterns. Over days and weeks, MoMo surfaces what keeps coming up - quietly, in your own words. "You've mentioned feeling most drained in the evenings this week." Insight, not a diagnosis.

• Grounded in how you actually feel. Connect a WHOOP or Oura wearable and MoMo can gently factor in sleep and activity - "your sleep's been shorter than usual, that might be part of it." Only short summaries ever add context, never your raw health records.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Talk through a hard day, an anxious spiral, or just say hi
• Reflect with voice or text, whenever it suits you
• See weekly and monthly reflections that map your inner world
• Follow gentle guided journeys when you want more structure
• Get soft, contextual check-ins instead of nagging reminders
• Set the mood with an ambient, time-aware background and calming sounds

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your words belong to you. Conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. AI providers don't train on your data. You can export or permanently delete everything, anytime. MoMo never tracks you across other apps.

NOT THERAPY - A COMPANION

MoMo is a wellness companion, not a medical or mental-health treatment, and isn't a substitute for professional care. If you're ever in crisis, MoMo surfaces localized helpline resources so support is one tap away.

A safe space to think out loud. Whenever you need it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.9 — 2026-09-27

A new Insights screen — a calmer view of what you've been talking about: the areas of your life that come up most, the threads that keep returning, and your own words behind each one. Tap an area to see what's been happening there, tell MoMo whether a reflection sounds like you, or start a conversation about it. Rolling out gradually.

Insights are kept fresh once a day instead of after every message, so they reflect whole conversations rather than half-finished ones.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-09-24

Sending messages — a message sent while the previous reply was still arriving could be sent twice, or lost. Messages now go out one at a time, in order, and each is delivered exactly once.

Replies that were cut off — if your connection dropped mid-reply, the app offered to send your message again. It now fetches the reply MoMo already wrote.

Crisis support — when there were no local helplines to show, the support card fell back to US numbers wherever you were. It now points you to a directory that finds help where you are, and a card about helping someone else says so.

Attaching photos and documents — attachments were kept in memory long after they were sent, which could slow the app down or close it in long conversations.

Update notices — "Update" now opens the App Store or Google Play instead of our website.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-09-04

A quiet note above the chat box — when you're close to the end of your weekly conversations, or your trial is in its last week, a single line now tells you before you run into it rather than after. Members see an occasional suggestion of something in the app worth trying instead. Dismiss it any time; dismiss it three times and it stops coming back. You can turn it on again under Settings.

Settings → Membership — your plan and, if you're a member, a way to manage or cancel it. Previously this screen could only be reached from the trial countdown, so members had no way in at all.

Signing in — the email now contains a six-digit code and no link, so a mail scanner opening the link can no longer use up your sign-in before you do. The screen no longer tells you to tap a link that isn't there.

Voice transcription — words in longer recordings came back with double and triple spaces between them.

Your free trial — starting a new conversation after a trial ended could quietly hand out another 30 days. A trial is now once per account.

The ambient sound button — tapping it as you opened the app often did nothing, and the sound faded away so slowly the rest of the time that it read as broken. It now stops the moment you press it.

Deleting your account — if you signed in with Apple, deleting your account now also tells Apple to disconnect it, instead of leaving the sign-in linked to an account that no longer exists.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-26

Staying signed in — MoMo was signing you out whenever your phone sat locked in a pocket, so you had to log in again every time you came back. Your session now survives a locked screen, a backgrounded app and a patchy connection, and it refreshes itself instead of quietly expiring.

Sharing an insight — when a share failed, nothing happened at all: no message, no error. MoMo now tells you what went wrong and lets you try again, and the preview opens at the start of your reflection instead of halfway through it.

A more consistent look — panels across the app now share one frosted treatment against the changing sky. Insights and Profile join in, instead of sitting as flat white cards on the gradient.

Also fixed: the read-aloud, like and share buttons on an insight card are now reachable with VoiceOver; the email code no longer sits low in its box with the digits cut off; and the keyboard no longer opens over "Continue with Apple" and "Continue with Google" the moment the sign-in screen appears.
