US sales tax refresh (April 2026)
We updated high-traffic jurisdictions to better match current practice: Denver (city rate effective January 2025 plus RTD/SCFD bundled for the correct 9.15% combined stack), New York City (8.875% total including standard local/MTA treatment), and Los Angeles (indicative 9.75% combined). The in-app “Last updated” label now shows 22 April 2026 so users see when figures were reviewed. Unit tests were revised accordingly, and a new Denver combined-rate test prevents regressions on that total.

Clearer rates, fewer false alarms — The app no longer suggests you’re “offline” just because the rate date isn’t today: Frankfurter follows official publication (often the last business day). A warning banner only appears when a refresh fails and the app is still showing your last saved rates on the device, with clearer copy and a retry action.
