Exactly what I was looking for. A few tweaks would make it perfect for me - -Adding a few more date options ie last day of the month, last Friday of the month etc - a swipe as paid to make it quick and easy in the transactions section that comes off the balance. Other than these it’s a great app and I would highly recommend. ### 4/5 — Great! *2023-09-20* This is the only app I can find that does what I want. Simple cash flow and budgeting. All the other apps are far to complicated and don’t seem to do this. Please don’t give up on me. A few problems like how on earth do I delete an item from the budget? If I have a transaction scheduled, I would like the ability to mark it as scheduled for payment. I would also like the ability to adjust the date for a single occurrence of a recurring payment, for example if I pay it early. I also agree with other reviews that a calendar view would be good. I once used a previous app that allowed swiping to Delete or Skip a scheduled transaction. That method was very efficient. ### 4/5 — Almost perfect *2021-10-02* I downloaded this after CashFlow app was taken off the App Store that I loved and was super helpful. The only thing I would say to add, and only reason I give it 4 stars is to adjust the date on “adjust estimate.” Sometimes I alter payments around my paycheck dates, so that would be really helpful, but it’s something I can work around. ### 5/5 — Fantastique ! *2020-12-21, version 4.20* Si vous voulez ne plus avoir a stresser et tout contrôler vos entrer et sortie d’argents, ces la meilleurs app qu’on peut trouver. This is utterly ridiculous. When you change a recurring date, there is no option to just change one date, it changes every other date. I wish there is option to change one date like how on calendars, you can just change one event like a meeting. I cant believe that developers have not figured this out. In addition, decimals dont auto populate and if you wipe out a number to try to just change a number, it wipes out the whole number, which is freakin annoying because you have to remember the whole number again. Utterly ridiculous. Now, if all this is fixed, it will get to be the closest perfect app. **Developer response:** This is a prediction app that works based on (recurring) transactions saved balances and is designed to work with a low limit of data! Of course it will affect the predicted trend if a recurring transaction is added or deleted, but simply add a fixed balance value for a specific date, which immediately corrects any prediction from that date on. Moreover, you can change any value of a recurring transaction by using the „Exceptions“ feature (lower right button). We also use it every day on our own and enjoy the simplicity if this app (in contrast to many other data-hungry budget trackers). ### 5/5 — Simple! *2019-11-09* Just like a checkbook on your phone. The forecasting is just what someone needs to make sure all goes smoothly. The graph isn't needed and wish I can omit it but still a great app! ### 4/5 — Close to perfect *2019-10-02* Awesome - almost perfect for my needs! I would like the ability to adjust the date on the “adjust estimate” piece. I would pay for add ons and I would also pay for the ability to get rid of the graph (I prefer a calendar view). I touch this app daily (if not 2-3 times a day). After more than 15 apps, I chose your app and one other (Cashflowy); I use both simultaneously only bc the other allows me to change the date on the adjustment (so I use it just like a check register) and I can see a calendar view with available cash. This app team is very responsive - many do not and that’s helpful and respected. ### 5/5 — Review *2019-06-17* Great app. The only thing missing is to be able to schedule transactions every two weeks to match for example pay deposits or loans. **Developer response:** Thanks a lot for the feedback! However, this is actually supported by our app: just set recurrence type to ‚weekly‘ and directly below to ‚Every 2 weeks‘. ### 5/5 — Love it!! *2019-05-24* EXACTLY what I was looking for! Easy to use, quick to enter bills etc, and provides a look ahead so I can plan accordingly. I used to use a spreadsheet, and while that worked, it was nowhere near as simple as this. Thank you developers! **Developer response:** Thanks a lot for the great feedback! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — TOO MUCH, TOO LATE!!! *2026-07-31* I’ve been using this app for 8-10 years and have loved it because it was simple, fast, and predictable. After 5 YEARS WITHOUT 'ANY' UPDATES, a series of recent redesigns made several cosmetic changes that, in my opinion, HURT USABILITY without adding any real value. The biggest issue is that the SCREEN LAYOUT was COMPLETELY REARRANGED 'just because'. The cash flow chart, which is only a visual summary, is now at the top of the screen, while the estimated transaction amounts, the information users actually need to review and edit every month, are BURIED in smaller font and harder to find. After nearly a decade of muscle memory, everything feels backwards. The RUNNING BALANACE is also displayed much more prominently, while the individual estimated payments (credit cards, utilities, etc.) are visually de-emphasized. Those estimates are what drive the balance, so they should remain the focus. If the goal was simply to modernize the look, please make these layout changes optional. A simple toggle to place the chart at the top or bottom, and another to reduce the emphasis on the running balances, would let new users enjoy the new design without disrupting those of us who have relied on this app for looking more efficiently for a decade. I’m not asking for the new design to be removed. I just want the option to use the layout that made this app so efficient for so many years. Right now, it’s noticeably slower and more frustrating to use than it needs to be. **Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed feedback, and especially for supporting Money Forecast for so many years. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when a familiar layout changes after you have relied on it for nearly a decade. Please update to version 5.30. It brings back the option to use a layout much closer to the original design, including compact transaction rows, a choice of emphasizing either transaction amounts or running balances, and the option to place the chart at the bottom of the screen. You can configure these options in the app’s settings. Version 5.30 also adds transaction search and a new monthly overview. The main purpose of the version 5.0 update was a complete internal modernization of the app using Apple’s latest iOS frameworks. This was necessary to ensure compatibility with current and future iOS versions and to make continued updates possible. However, I agree that this modernization should not come at the expense of the efficient workflow long-term users are accustomed to. Thank you again for taking the time to explain your concerns. Feedback from experienced users like you was an important reason for bringing these layout options back. ### 1/5 — Not free *2024-10-12, version 4.20* Doesn’t tell you its not free until you download. To much for to little ### 1/5 — Immediate Subscription Required to Take a Look *2022-07-15* The developer wants a subscription immediately - before any part for the application can be seen. Although the terms appear to be reasonable, it is irritating; almost like bait and switch tactics. ### 1/5 — The most recent update *2018-09-28* I’ve tried contacting the developer twice, and have received no responses. The app now goes back to only one year, and it will not save the starting balance. My forecast is all over the place when it was in perfect condition a few days ago. Before the update, I recommenced this to almost everyone who needed financial help. The functions and additional account options on the newer version are fantastic. My only bug bear from the original is that I can’t seem to skip bills or mark bills as paid any longer which is a pain and not really what I was looking for in a forecasting app, this option made budgeting far easier for the user and was one of the main benefits. Hopefully this feature will come back and therefore worthy of the full 5 star rating. ### 3/5 — No bi-weekly income selection *2022-03-07* I get paid every other week but there is no option to show biweekly income. This app lets me project out two years and lets me see where my trouble spots are and adjust. It has helped me tremendously in planning to buy both small and big purchases. I finally understand if I need to spend on something, especially if it’s a bigger spend, what impact that has ### 5/5 — What I have been searching for! *2023-08-31* At last, an app which can keep track of my real-time expenditure and forecast on how this impacts against my schedules incomings and outgoings! I had built a massive xls in the end, after going through so many apps which only allowed you to view one month at a time - useless, or couldn’t schedule recurring payments - useless. This is perfect! I now know the impact of what I spend today on what I will have to spend at the end of the month or year, or any time! I have a tight budget and I need to manage it closely. I particularly like the ‘exceptions’ feature on recurring payments. Some tiny improvements would make this app absolutely bulletproof. 1) the option for scheduled credits to be applied on the previous week day if the scheduled date falls on a weekend 2) the option for scheduled debits to be deducted on the following week day if the scheduled date falls on a weekend (that might have complexity with statutory holidays in different countries, but the Monday would be fine) 3) the option in the recurring schedule for ‘last weekday of the month’ (they would be covered by point 1 too, in a way) Massive thanks to the developers, this has changed my life, no hesitation in paying subscription. ### 5/5 — Wonderful *2021-09-23* This app does quickly what I spent years perfecting in Excel.
