It’s very good it helps me find out where is the going and good in budgeting. It’s a good option there is that I can take a photo of every purchase and add it the sale , I can check my receipts anytime. I wish some upgrades if the can change the fact if you have multiple accounts to give details on budgeting for each account separately. All in all is perfectly and recommend it. A couple of additions would be great though: 1) when adding a transfer from one account to another it would be good to have the option to select a budget like all other the other types of transactions. 2) A target amount for savings accounts would be a good feature to add. ### 4/5 — Good, but iPad only *2020-01-20* This app does everything I need it to do, and more... and it does it well. The only improvement required is to change where dollar amount tab to calculator type rather number. ### 5/5 — Using Everyday *2018-10-08* I have been using this app for quite a few years, I have to say it is essential to my daily life, it is exactly what I need to track and manage my personal finance, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be financially responsible, control and track their spending. I found budgeting feature is also very useful and exactly what I want that help me to stay within my means. I know there is bigger fish like “mint” out there, but I registered mint and never use it extensively as this one, not only because I am not completely comfortable to give out all my financial credentials but also Personally I like to input my every single expense so that I know and think again about it, rather than an autopilot who just writes down transactions that I may never check again. There are minor bugs though, such as when I delete a transaction sometimes causes app crash and I have to reopen it, but the delete action has been registered, which could be easily fixed in my opinion. ### 5/5 — Brilliant program *2018-08-15* I am so delighted with this program. The only thing I would like to see is automatic sync with my other mobile devices. In this day and age I thought that would be automatic or at least an option to have it automatic. ### 5/5 — It Didn’t Replace My Quicken *2018-02-17, version 3.6.3* I’ve tried dozens of apps and programs all over a lifetime using financial software on desktops, laptops, cellphones and tablets. If you’re a low transaction volume person, Money Monitor is probably ok for you. Requires you to manually enter ALL transactions though. If you’re anal about capturing everything, you’ll spend almost as much time reconciling and correcting as you do entering transactions. Attaching photos to transactions is an excellent feature, and a must have for any app. The Money Monitor design appears more for a cell phone than a tablet. As for Quicken comparison, secure connection and download from banks, credit cards, stock investment accounts, etc. gives Quicken a notch up, not to mention split transaction capability, better reporting, tagging, income tax interface, and volume editing transactions. Quicken is far more flexible and forgiving. On the bright side for Money Monitor, it’s probably the best app that is fully functional on a cell phone, though not sophisticated enough for more demanding users, especially on a tablet. ### 3/5 — Paid version *2018-02-08* Love the free app. How do I get paid version. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Started well *2021-10-26* This was a very useful uncomplicated app to record just simple financial transactions. However, now every time I open the app it shows the same negative balance and the balance in true time is a positive balance. I have to restore from the backup to show the correct balance enter my transactions and be sure to back up before closing the app. Will be looking for an alternative to this app now, ### 1/5 — Don’t Buy NOT SUPPORTED and PROBLEMATIC *2021-01-28* DON’T BUY! This is another one of these APP’s set up by people who no longer care about there customers and Apple don’t care either that they don’t care. Both are willing to take your money but there is no maintenance done on APP. You will as I and others did invest time into entering your data and realise at some point you need to find another APP. It should be totally free. Has stability and calculation problems for years. ### 1/5 — Best App *2020-12-31* UPDATE: After using this app for years to keep track of several accounts it suddenly doesn’t open at all! Looks like the app has not even been updated the last 3 years. Time to look for a new app I guess, disappointed since I paid for this app and really liked it. This app allows you to manually keep track of several accounts so you know exactly how much you have regardless if it's cleared the bank or not. I really like the bill calendar that shows you all your bills for the month, when you click to pay a bill you can choose the account to pay from and the budget and the app will adjust everything for you. But I purchased it because it referenced restore/backup to share with iPhone. I backloaded 2 months of transactions KNOWING this was gonna be great. Loaded Money Monitor Pro on my iPhone, but no restore found. I know, right? had to buy THIS app AND the one for iPhone, and didn’t have something that worked. It doesn’t sync with iPhone and iPad but I’ve managed to work around that. Only problem now is I can no longer print from app. I have to email to myself in order to print reports.
