The Ap is boring and unattractive and seems cumbersome. When the bonus rate ends, I doubt I will stay as deposits are not instant ### 3/5 — Deposit delays *2025-04-11, version 6.68* I was pretty happy with them, until I topped up my account for the new financial year. My bank sent the money on a Monday and after following up and following up, it’s now Friday and my account is still not “topped up” for a professional finance organization I think is actually poor. Which means I will have to probably wait until mix next week to actually have the money invested. ### 2/5 — Good until…. *2025-04-02, version 6.67* Was quite pleased with Moneyfarm up until recently. My spouse transferred a significant amount of money into my ISA, but it never landed. Zero communication. We reached out twice. No reply. Eventually had to ring them, only to be told curtly that the transfer couldn’t be done unless the bank account was linked. So the money was in limbo with no explanation whatsoever. They still haven’t bothered to reach out to address my complaint. I would think very carefully about using Moneyfarm on this basis. I’ve chosen to use a different ISA as this doesn’t sit right with me. Was a very happy customer for years but do be aware. ### 1/5 — FRAUDULENT COMPANY *2024-06-14, version 6.27* This app needs removing from the App Store as they are a fraudulent company. My money has disappeared and they are just trying to steal as much personal information from me as they possibly can. HOWEVER: It will NOT let you delete your banking details from within the app, you have to email them. It will NOT let you delete your account from within the app, you have to email them. The returns on my stocks and shares ISA and somehow my pension after a year are dreadful. And when I say dreadful. I mean dreadful. I have never seen a moment of green or profit in the entire tenure I have been with them and I’m more convinced than I ever was that they don’t really know what they are doing. I have given it time, I have given it more money and time and time again they fail to make anything even a remotely close to a good call. My strongest suggestion to you if you are reading this is to either - put it into a savings account or better yet find a more reputable company. You’d likely be better off gambling on the horses. ### 1/5 — Can’t disable commercial notifications *2023-09-01, version 5.87* Too many commercial notifications and no easy way to disable them ### 1/5 — Consistently bad returns, sluggish transfers *2023-06-04, version 5.74* I moved from wealth simple when they offloaded all their UK customer (such a shame they moved out of the uk as they were amazing in comparison) As is consistent with several other reviews, the returns never ever seem to materialise, they way they do it seems to be very decoupled from the markets. They love a don’t disinvest now, think about the long term message to try get you to stay with them. But nearly 1.5 years into a three year plan things aren’t looking good at -10% from where I started and it’s annoying because I know I’d be better off now had I invested my money myself. Additionally the transfers and withdrawals are sluggish, they should introduce rapid bank transfers for emergencies. Because if you do get into bother and need to access some money, you’ll be waiting a good week and a half: ridiculous especially compared with the speed of other comparable financial services apps. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2022-11-05, version 5.45* I was originally with Wealthsimple before moneyfarm took over. With wealthsimple I was making smaller weekly deposits which were working for me. Now moneyfarm only allow a minimum of £100 deposits and only monthly. This is not small or regular. I’ll be withdrawing and taking my business elsewhere ### 1/5 — Disinvestment a joke! *2022-10-01, version 5.41* Been with Moneyfarm for some years investing in general and ISA portfolios, unfortunately, although they are all over you when investing, this all changes if you dare to want your money back! Cancelled transactions with no explanation for days, emails completely ignored and no follow up at all. This is now the second time I have transferred money out, and on both occasions I have encountered the same issues. The transfer-out process is extremely slow, communication is poor, and I have had to chase for updates rather than being kept informed. I understand that transfers can take time, but the lack of transparency and repeated delays are unacceptable. What is most concerning is that this is not a one-off problem—it has happened twice, suggesting there are ongoing issues with their transfer process. While investing with Moneyfarm may seem straightforward, accessing your money when you want to leave is a completely different experience. They have ridiculous fees compared to other companies. It takes days to withdraw money. Now I'm trying to transfer my deposit to my bank, and they tell me it's not possible due to IT issues. They say they'll let me know in the future. I've never seen such poor service for such a high fee. I don't recommend it to anyone. I chose the active investing where I make selections and the pros invest on my behalf. Very low fees of 0.65% and I’ve seen amazing returns over the last 2 years. But near enough everything has been improved. Including the fee structure. And I have to say on the whole this has to be one of the stronger investment platforms you could part your money with. There is a raft of information on the app which is helpful, some way more than I will ever need, but all very slick. The hidden gem with Moneyfarm is their advisors. They only make passing reference to them, but they are truly the hidden gem, and when used in conjunction with the app you really can’t ask for much more. When the time is right,I will be consolidating all my ISA’s with Moneyfarm.
