## What is MoneyForge?

Borrow 35,000,000 yen over 35 years at 1.2%. Refinance in ten years — how much does the total change?
To answer that one question, 111 Japanese money calculators are gathered into a single app.

Put your versions in the same table — two on the free tier, five with PRO. Refinancing, extra payments, a different rate, a different
term. Total payment, total interest, monthly payment and payoff month line up together, the best option
is marked, and every other option shows what it costs you. You cannot judge a refinance without comparing.

Sixteen are mortgages: amortisation for equal payment and equal principal, borrowing capacity, extra
payments, refinancing gain and break-even, bonus-month repayment, floating rates with the 5-year rule,
the 125% cap and unpaid-interest detection, split loans, stepped rates, group credit life insurance,
purchase costs, the mortgage tax credit, rent versus buy, property tax, pair and reverse mortgages.

Fourteen are loans and six are revolving credit: balloon-payment car loans, student loan repayment,
APR conversion, the Interest Rate Restriction Act check, an overpaid-interest estimate, consolidation,
snowball and avalanche, the four revolving methods, and an escape plan comparing five payoff routes.

Twenty-two cover tax and social insurance: take-home and bonus take-home, income tax, resident tax,
premiums, remuneration grade, retirement allowance, the furusato-nozei limit, the income "walls",
sole-proprietor and side-job tax, the blue-return benefit, consumption tax, the invoice 20% rule,
simplified taxation, inheritance and gift tax, iDeCo, medical and life deductions, stamp duty.

Eighteen build wealth, twelve are property investment, ten are business: compound interest, regular
investing, reverse-solving for a goal, drawdown, FIRE, NISA and iDeCo, early versus deferred pension, a
five-variable TVM solver, NPV, IRR, XIRR, CAGR, bond pricing, gross and net yield, DCF, CCR, DSCR and
LTV, depreciation, capital gains tax, break-even, pricing, cash flow, payback and ROI, LTV/CAC and
working capital. Five handle FX and investment tax, eight are everyday.

Truncation below one yen, leap years, the final-payment remainder. The schedules match a lender's
amortisation table to the yen, and rounding can be set to down, up, half-up or banker's. Switch the day
count to actual days and the first period is counted in actual days too. Every result carries a
basis panel: the formula, the values substituted into it, the rounding applied, and where it comes from,
with a link where there is a primary source. The figures follow the National Tax Agency, the Japan
Pension Service, the Japan Health Insurance Association and the Financial Services Agency.

This app makes no network requests of any kind. Your salary, your loan balance, your assets — whatever
you type never leaves the device. There is no advertising SDK and no analytics, which is also why
exchange rates are entered by hand. On the free tier a result page may carry up to two related-service
cards, each labelled as advertising. PRO does not show them.

Beyond that: export to PDF and CSV with the schedule and the basis. Saved scenarios, tags, favourites,
search, history. Widgets, Siri Shortcuts, Spotlight, dark mode. Settings go down to the rounding mode,
number formatting, colour-safe palettes and CSV encoding.

Twelve calculators are free, and you can try any of the others three times a day. PRO opens all 111,
the five-way comparison, export and unlimited saved scenarios, at 600 yen a week, 1,000 a month,
4,800 a year, or 9,800 once. The yearly plan starts with 7 days free. If you only need to export once,
a single report pass is 300 yen.

Tax, premium and pension figures are estimates based on the Japanese rules for fiscal 2026, and vary by
year, municipality and employer. Confirm anything that matters with a tax accountant or your lender.
