## What is MoneyTurtle?

The private way to know exactly where your money goes.

MoneyTurtle is a simple, beautiful expense tracker and net-worth companion built around one principle: your financial data belongs to you — and only you.

PRIVACY FIRST — YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR SPACE
Unlike most finance apps, MoneyTurtle has no servers, no accounts on our side, and no data collection. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. If you turn on sync, it goes through your own personal iCloud account — encrypted, in your private space, invisible to us and to anyone else. We couldn't see your data even if we wanted to. There is nothing to sell, leak, or analyze.

TRACK YOUR SPENDING, EFFORTLESSLY
Add an expense in seconds. See what you spent this month, what came in, and what's left — at a glance. Browse your history by day or on a monthly calendar, and organize everything with fully customizable categories and subcategories.

WATCH YOUR WEALTH GROW
Log your savings, investments, crypto, and loans month by month, and MoneyTurtle turns them into a clear net-worth picture over time. Charts show your progress, not just your spending.

UNDERSTAND YOUR HABITS
Analytics break down where your money goes by category and over time, so patterns show up before they become problems.

MADE FOR IPHONE
• Home Screen widgets keep your month at a glance
• Lock the app behind Face ID
• Light and dark appearance
• Multiple currencies
• Export your data anytime — it's yours, take it anywhere
• Optional iCloud sync across your devices, using your account, your space

No subscriptions to your data. No tracking. No ads. Just you and your money.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.9 — 2026-10-10

- Turtle Journey: see your stage and milestones toward financial independence on the Wealth tab
- Insights: plain-language notes about your month on Analytics, worked out on your phone
- Simpler Analytics: a cleaner layout with net worth up front
- Rename subcategories: past expenses move to the new name
- Tidier Wealth tab: Salary flow and Projection in one Plan card

### 2.8 — 2026-10-03

What's new in 2.8
• Log subscriptions as expenses — turn it on in Settings and each subscription is added to Expenses on its payment day, under a new Monthly category. Yearly subscriptions are logged in their renewal month.
• Add income from Salary flow — log your salary right where you split it. The Salary flow card and screen on the Wealth tab now have an Add income button.
• Carry wealth entries forward — a new option in Settings that starts each month with a copy of last month's balances, so you only adjust what changed.
• Fixes and improvements, including cleaning up duplicate entries when more than one device is in sync.

### 2.7 — 2026-09-26

New in 2.7: Projection. See where investing a little every month could take you, in your own currency.

### 2.5 — 2026-08-14

2.5 contains: the new Subscriptions tab (recurring charges tracked and totalled separately from your expenses, monthly or yearly, with optional payment dates), and a fix for the last row of a list being hidden behind the tab bar.

### 2.4 — 2026-08-03

An accent color picker in Settings — nine palettes that retint the whole app, set per device. Also UAE currency is now supported.
