That’s pretty basic. ### 3/5 — Difficult to navigate *2024-04-01* Great articles as always, but no index when I use my iPhone, with multiple articles on the same page which you need to scroll through and no idea where you are in the magazine. ### 2/5 — upgrade the app *2023-05-25* Please create an app where it’s easy to use with features where you can save or highlight content. ### 4/5 — Close but no Cigar *2021-08-08* The magazine is a defender of capitalism and is generally right of centre - very very rare in modern business publications, so 5* for the publication, coverage and quality of writing. The app is fine. Some glitches, but that’s fine. It’s easy to navigate but there isn’t much by way of settings, eg a dark background with white text. The sizing of text is also done by pressing one button rather than selecting from a scale. ### 4/5 — Great Magazine but the app is hopeless *2021-05-11* I cannot rate the magazine enough but the app keeps closing on my ipad. I have downloaded the latest version so I’m unsure as to why it keeps doing this. Took them up on an introductory offer. App doesn’t recognise my customer number, which they provided. You follow the links provided by them to access your account and go from website to website of weird companies. Total mess I want simplicity - simple login details, simple access to my subscription, simple access to my settings, an app that remembers me. I also want the app to just work! No messing about. The first magazine downloaded ok, then it just abruptly stopped and asked me to pay. Very frustrating. The magazine content is OK - but it’s hard to like the writers. They are totally narrow minded and self interested. Wouldn’t bother ### 2/5 — Hassles to use *2019-02-01* 1) Scrolling down often trigger accidental ‘flip’ to the next or last page, 2) After the above accident, you have to return to back to the page you were on, and then you need to scroll down to the paragraph you were reading, 3) Have to tap the text size icon 3 times to get to medium size. 4) The text size can change by accident too, so you go back to 3), 5) Some sections, usually the ones with pink background, have fixed size text that CANNOT BE CHANGED, 6) The good news is, the text on the pink are fixed in SMALL text size. 7) it doesn’t have the intelligence to remember where you last left off and default to the beginning. One good point is, at least the texts are not in grey like many other platforms. ### 2/5 — Download Problems *2018-01-19* Frequently doesn’t download the issue to the app completely...pages missing and no apparent way to retrieve them. Exacerbated by the fact that you can no longer download a pdf version from the website, also, and that customer service take ages to reply (if they do so at all). The magazine itself is good and worth having - the app falls short of it. ### 3/5 — Lost history *2017-08-29* The Ap is ok but, when updated, you lose all your previously downloaded issues - a pain! The feature to save articles is useful. ### 1/5 — Can't see latest edition *2017-06-09, version 2.2* I pay for the subscription but can't see the latest issue sort it out please otherwise I will be cancelling Update Given up and cancelled ### 1/5 — Why no update for two years! *2017-05-28, version 2.2* It's better than the paper copy but with no update to the app since 2015 it may be time to ditch the subscription altogether. Bunch of dinosaurs anyway. ### 2/5 — "Moneyweek may slow down your iPad...and will not work with future versions of iOS" *2017-04-29, version 2.2* April 2017: "MoneyWeek app will not work with future versions of iOS. Developer needs to update..." - this is the latest note from Apple, since the one I mentioned in Nov16 below. Nov 2016: The content of the magazine is great. However, my iPad Air (iOS10...) just told me that "Moneyweek may slow down your iPad. The Developer needs to improve its compatibility". I had thought my iPad was slower since loading the app and have always found the design of the app to lack a seamless user experience. Come on Moneyweek, speak to Apple to resolve this! ### 2/5 — Poor support *2016-12-19, version 2.2* The app worked fine until I renewed with a now 2 year subscription it tells me I am not subscribed and offers me to buy the latest issue. All customer service says is to delete and redo load the app. What a pain. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2026-02-19* I have an Apple subscription for Money Week and a week ago the App stopped downloading the magazine. Money Week wouldn’t help - it’s Apple’s problem! Apple online customer support is a wash the hands, contact Money Week. Who in their right minds would purchase a subscription from Apple if this is the way they treat their customers? ### 1/5 — Don’t is too small and light *2024-01-19* I can barely read anything. Either use a normal font with normal weight or if you want to get all fancy, please give me an option to use the reader view or choose a standard font. ### 1/5 — No longer works *2022-10-28* This app was great for ages. However, something has happened at Future Publishing and it appears that subscribers can no longer log in? Customer references or account numbers are not recognised by the app or the web portal! Therefore you now have to telephone their help desk on a weekly basis to be given access to the web version which is not as good as the app. The help desk staff have no idea when the issue will be resolved? Really, really poor. ### 1/5 — Where is everyone *2022-10-23* So, I have been a paid subscriber for a few months but have recently been logged out by the app. It no longer recognizes my login details and NO ONE has responded to my email pleas. What’s more, the telephone number doesn’t work. Have they gone out of business? ### 1/5 — Single edition purchase not working *2021-11-08, version 3.4* The Help page states that single editions can be purchased by tapping on the edition cover and following the instructions. Message says expired when try to Restore. It has not. Apple sends me to publisher. Emailed published and await a response. Wishing I hadn’t wasted money on 3 month subscription now. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t install... *2018-01-08* Opens but doesn’t set up the app on my iPhone either. Same problem as previous reviewer. A real shame as such an excellent publication...maybe they’ll put a quick fix in?! ### 1/5 — App does not work. Don’t buy *2017-11-13* The magazine does not download anymore. I rang MoneyWeek and they didn’t want to know. They ask me to ring Apple. I rang Apple and they say they are unable to help apart from a refund which they are trying to do now. But they say there is no guarantee. Very poor service from MoneyWeek. I am waiting to hear from Apple. Please don’t waste your money subscribing via Apple App Store. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2017-07-23* I am able to log into the web site, but when I log into the app (using the same login details) it says I am not authorised to view the content. Have contacted MoneyWeek, but have had no response from them at all! Got digital version as accessible both in iPad and mobile. Not letting me load new issues which is frustrating. I have read some of the older negative reviews but it seems like those bugs/issues have been fixed.
