FAIL! ### 3/5 — Amazing app that breaks often *2025-01-22* I really love this app for mixing iems. However, the most recent iOS update can see the sound board and when you click connect, you are met with a spinning wheel of death because they don’t have the app request access to your local network. The app won’t show up in the settings->privacy->local network location so you can’t toggle it off or on. No other changes to the board or router. A couple of phones will still connect, most won’t. ### 1/5 — Not working on iPhone 11 Pro *2025-01-05* I have two iPhone 11 Pros on 18.1.1 and they both work request access for the local network. Therefore it won’t connect to my dm7. All my other iPhones work fine (13 mini etc) ### 1/5 — Would be 5 stars if it still worked *2025-01-05* I got a new phone and now it won’t connect to the mixer. Just keeps spinning to infinity after I select the right mixer. Made sure all the settings are an exact match to my partner’s phone where the app works and nothing. ### 2/5 — Update broke app *2025-01-05, version 2.3.0* An update in Nov/Dec 2024 seems to have broken the app for the majority of our band. Folks click the mixer to connect and get a spinning circle that never resolves. No network settings or mixing board settings have changed (CL5, latest firmware). iPad version seems to work but iOS and Android both seem to be having major problems connecting. ### 3/5 — Worked on my iPad until recent update *2024-12-30* I’ve used this with a QL5 with almost no issues. Until the most recent update I can pull it up on my phone but my iPad just spins and spins without connecting. It can detect the ip so I know I’m on the right Wi-Fi. Two devices with identical settings—one works and the other doesn’t. Frustrating ### 1/5 — Cannot connect to TF5 *2024-12-28, version 2.3.0* The previous version works normally. Thankfully we had an old iPad that could not update to the latest update so we could adjust our mixes on the shared iPad but if we did not, it would have been very messy. Could we please have another update soon? If not, we may need to find a new in ear monitoring system to avoid the hassle of a shared device that we could be using for our chord charts. Works when installed on IPAD though ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Is Yamaha planning to fix this app? *2023-10-24* If your phone is stuck synchronizing, you need to update your DM3 firmware, you’re welcome. ### 5/5 — Connecting to sound board *2023-04-25* If you are experiencing no connection between the app and your board, make sure your IP address for your board is different from your wifi connection (in your smart device) in order to control your IEM. With the new update we experienced not being able to connect to our app. Make sure you also update your firmware of your board and Dante patch if applicable. Double check your subnet in your board as well to make sure it matches in your wifi connection. Hope this helps! ### 5/5 — Happy *2022-12-17* Used to have a tf3 for a while (renters had a better system than our church). We now have the tf5 and an apple extreme router. App works as expected. Very usable although it drops signal periodically. Their system did the same. Love the remote features. Multiple people are on it at the same time, and everyone’s app works without issue. One suggestion: when first connecting, the list of available networks (and then mixes) is so dark, it's super difficult to read. Couldn't the list text be a much lighter color and then turn blue of some other color to indicate when it's selected? Using it in a church with a large band (8 hardwired and 5 wireless in-ear monitors) connected to our QL5. No separate monitoring system necessary, and we have tried Aviom and SamePage. They don't even compare.
