## What is Monkita?

Learn to speak English or Spanish from the videos, podcasts and books you love. Monkita turns real content into speaking practice: tap any word, repeat every line out loud and remember new vocabulary with smart flashcards.

TURN ANY EPISODE INTO A SPEAKING LESSON
Six practice modes on the same episode:
• Subtitles: follow along line by line with a translation underneath. Tap any word to see what it means and save it.
• Shadowing: repeat each line right after the speaker and see which words you nailed or missed.
• Dictation: type what you hear, then check your answer word by word.
• Fill in: key words disappear from the subtitles. Listen closely and type them back.
• Role-play: pick a character and speak their lines when it's your turn.
• AI chat: talk about the scene with an AI tutor, by text or voice.

READ BOOKS AT YOUR LEVEL
• Graded classics from A1 to C2, with new words highlighted
• Tap any word for its meaning, pronunciation and an example
• Listen to the book as you read
• A new story every day
• Scan pages with your camera or import EPUB and PDF files

PICTURE DECKS THAT STICK
Illustrated vocabulary for food, travel, work, health, technology and more. Hear the question, think, then reveal the answer.

REVIEW RIGHT BEFORE YOU FORGET
Every word you save becomes a flashcard. Monkita schedules reviews with FSRS, a modern spaced-repetition algorithm, so you review less and remember more.

A FEW MINUTES A DAY
Set a daily goal from 5 minutes, get a reminder at the time you choose and keep your streak going.

LEARN IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Meanings and translations in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The app itself is available in 10 languages.

FREE AND PRO
Monkita is free to start, with no ads: a free video, book and vocab deck every day, all six practice modes, daily flashcards and one video of your own.
Monkita Pro unlocks every lesson, the whole book library, unlimited AI tutor chat, unlimited vocab and flashcards, and as many of your own videos and books as you like.

SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION
