Even when all has been read, a number 1 remains on the icon… ### 2/5 — Improving but still annoying *2026-06-08* Definitely getting better slowly, but the app doesn’t automatically update, either in the background or when it’s open - you have to force it to. Notification badges remain on the app icon no matter what - it hasn’t been fixed. The presentation is somehow less immersive than other apps and you can’t delete the spam comments that are already starting to appear. More work needed. ### 4/5 — Viel Potential! *2026-06-07* Man sieht wo die Reise hingeht und die gefällt mir. Einige Profile sind tatsächlich „leer“. Klar, man möchte erst einmal testen… Aber wenn man selber anfängt Bilder zu posten und bei anderen Personen reagiert, gibt es sehr wohl einen Output! Ich weiß gar nicht, wie jung die Plattform ist, aber aktuell ist sie frei von Werbung, sehr fragwürdigen Posts oder OF Nutzerinnen. Es erinnert an eine frühere Zeit von Insta, bei der Bilder noch authentischer waren. Insgesamt gibt es ein großes Spektrum an Hobbyfotografen und (semi) Professionellen Leuten. Punktabzug gibt es, weil die App manchmal glitcht oder Fotos (werden nicht gleich beim ersten Anlauf hochgeladen. Ich denke, wenn Monnett noch mehr Nutzer bekommt, kann es richtig gut werden. ### 3/5 — Brilliant Instagram alternative *2026-06-06* This is work in progress, but everything functions correctly, it is a fantastic start and totally European too. Sure, there are some missing features and a few bugs too, but the app works well and provides a genuine ad-free, non-algorithmed alternative to Instagram. The only downside currently is the quality of pictures: most are random snaps, taken with no care and not something you would spend time looking through. My suggestion is to create an account quickly, while good names are still available, because people may start to up their photo game and this is may become popular platform in the future. ### 2/5 — Do better! *2026-06-04* Ok, leaving all that META stuff I tried! Es sollte ein BETA Schild dran sein: Fotos lassen sich nicht mit Gesten aufzoomen. Gegebene ❤️ (egal ob von einem selber oder von Anderen Usern )auf eige/ fremde Beiträge werden mal angezeigt Mal nicht. Dassselbe gilt für Kommentare. Hashtags gibt es nicht auch die Stylingoptionen für Beiträge sind bestenfalls rudimentär. Tbh. mit der Caption mit der man diese App bewirbt ist das zum fremdschämen. Sorry! A loooong way to go. ### 1/5 — very poor attempt at an instagram clone *2026-05-25* save yourself the time - this is just a low effort vibe-code attempt at cloning instagram. surprised this even passed appstore review, given the specific rules not allowing features to be “coming soon”. **Developer response:** Hey, we've improved a lot since the 1.3.4 version and the app works much smoother. I'd encourage you to update the app and see for yourself. We've also fixed the issues we've had with messages, that's why it said "coming soon" and you can now enjoy an end-to-end encrypted chat. ### 1/5 — A little phishy *2026-05-18* They blocked my email and now they are not replying to messages. I didn’t even get a chance to really check the app out. It is almost like they are information farming and I fell hook, line and sinker. Verpasste Chance. So wird das nix mit Alternative zu IG. Update heute: hat Spaß gemacht mit viel Geduld. Jetzt sollte ich mich wieder voll einloggen, obwohl ich mich nie ausgeloggt hatte Das geht gar nicht. Das war das dritte Mal in kurzer Zeit und die App ist nun gelöscht. Perhaps someone can finally overcome the corporate AI slop of Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. I agree, an ecosystem of European-owned social media is past overdue. However, you CANNOT expect to rival the American social media monopoly if your product underperforms. I would enjoy using this app...if it wouldn't lock me out every time I post a picture of a sunrise in the mountains. Been a month since I've been locked out for no reason, and the app still says, "Something went wrong," without providing further information. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2026-06-03* After trying to sign up 6 times on two phones it simply does nothing but keep churning so I finally gave up after wasting so much time. Changing a habits that were created by those lucrative strategies to keep you scrolling, with ads that tried to milk the last drop of your money and attention. The whole idea of supporting someone local, from Europe. The whole idea of stepping away from all the nonce-sense that Israel money is filtering to our screens is awesome, but this app needs to be brushed around as most things just don’t work. Updating profile picture needed two app restarts. Couldn’t make a single post on my wall. Feels like this app has no purpose not only in my app but in my life too. I wouldn’t be surprised that Apple is putting few stick in the wheels here to support their most popular apps and American businesses too as Apple itself is American. I can’t even say hi to someone. **Developer response:** Hey, messages were still in development in the 1.3.4 version, but now you can enjoy texting with your friends on an end-to-end encrypted chat. We've introduced it in the 1.4.0 version, so just update the app and you'll be able to use them. ### 1/5 — Irgendwas fühlt sich nicht richtig an *2026-05-26* Nette Idee aber nicht schön umgesetzt. Die App fühlt sich absolut noch 0 polished an. Mein registrieren in der App hat mein Password Manager schon aufgegeben beim Auto Generieren vom Password. Dann endlich in der App angekommen wurde mit einem Preis / Abo Modell geworben, was auch nicht wirklich das vertrauen zu einer hochwertigen App stärkt sondern eher das Gefühl von 0815 Vibe Coded App gibt. Als ich dann den discovery feed erkunden wollte und mir posts ansehen wollte beim draufklicken haben bilder einfach nicht geladen. Egal bei welchem bild, auch trotz wechsel des Netzes und Neustart der App. Danach hab ich die App direkt deinstalliert. Echt nette Idee aber einfach zu schnell rausgebracht und vom UI/UX gefühl sehr cheap. ### 1/5 — Limited *2026-05-25* The app has been launched without the basic functionalities of a social media app. No messages, basic posting and profiling. I can not see anything innovating making this app worth moving too. Also there are some paid tiers coming soon.
