Good for students or granular enthusiasts. I don’t even object to the lack of any documentation or instructions; it’s kind of fun to explore and discover things on your own. But something needs to be done about this color scheme; it’s REALLY hard to see and read, and that prevents me from falling into a creative fog and messing around with it for a long stretch... if that gets fixed, I’ll give it 5 stars. ### 5/5 — I like granular synths *2018-10-21, version 1.3* They are so much fun because the sounds can be randomly organized. That doesn’t make sense, does it, but that’s how I see it. I used to like very structured sequences with very strict organization. I now find that boring if there is never anything unpredictable. My favorite word these days is hybrid. Hybrid systems use anything that helps to create something that sounds great. That means gear and/or software and/or whatever with no rules. I see granular as the ultimate of organized chaos in the synth world, again making no sense. This synth is one that use granular, which is cool so watch a video that uses it and make up your mind if its worth spending a small amount of money for a lot of fun. ### 5/5 — Very odd sound morphing *2018-10-20* I love it when you add a sample and then get these micro granular slices of IDM glitch type sound fragments. I find it even weirder and smaller more micro sounding. It may be something I’m doing but I get these nice lil machine snips when using the random number knobs microtonic.
