## What is MonoLine?

Most journaling apps fail because they ask too much. MonoLine asks for almost nothing.

One photo. One line. Once a day. That's it.

There's no blank page to stare at. No formatting toolbar. No folders or tags or organizational systems to maintain. You open the app, add a photo from your day, write a single line about it, and you're done.

The whole thing takes thirty seconds.

And then it compounds.

After a week you have a week. After a month you have a month. After a year you have 365 moments—a grid of photos and the line you wrote beneath each one—that no highlight reel or social feed will ever give you back.

What Makes MonoLine Different

One entry per day, enforced: The constraint is the feature. You can't overwrite today or add a second entry. You show up, you write, you're done.

Three ways to see your life: Feed view shows your entries chronologically. Grid view shows your photos as a visual archive. Both views let you tap any day to read what you wrote.

Your streak, honestly tracked: A number in the corner of the app. No gamification, no pressure—just your record, kept honestly.

Private by design: No ads. No AI reading your entries. No social features. Your journal is yours.

Yours, with one purchase: No subscription. No trial countdown. No in-app upsells. You buy MonoLine once and it's yours—and with Family Sharing, the people you live with get it too.

Export anytime: Download your full journal as JSON or Markdown. Your words don't live only in an app.

For People Who Kept Abandoning Day One

MonoLine is for the person who bought a beautiful notebook and filled three pages. For the person who downloaded four journaling apps and deleted them all. For the person who knows that one honest line beats a thousand words they never wrote.

Start your first entry today.

### 5/5 — Appealing and simple

*2026-06-02*

From the moment you first open the app, it’s very professional. It has a very sleek but inviting design, and manages to stay simple as well. The functions work easily and it is very easy to understand, even if you’re new to electronics. If you save one of your entries to your photos, it’s format is very appealing and easy to read and look at. I would definitely recommend MonoLine to anyone looking to keep track of their life in a meaningful way.
