It would be perfect if i can add new note via iPhone widget. ### 4/5 — Very good at this point *2022-06-03, version 1.13.9* Hopefully the composer of this app will develop it further. I think it has got some great potential. I wish it would be possible to embed pictures directly or go with embedded links. I love the features it has got already. Hopefully there will be a way to sync manually. Keep the great job! I paid for the PRO in-app update for iCloud support. I was hoping to be able to see a folder on iCloud so I would be able to export or copy my notes over time. This is not possible. Please add the ability to export the database so the data can be used with other apps. Until this feature is added, I will not use it and therefore I must rate it 1 star. ### 2/5 — Not Ready *2021-11-22, version 1.4.4* I wanted to really like this app, but it just isn't ready yet. It isn't stable, crashing on startup every now and then. Sometimes it won't let you edit anything or clikc on icons with the mouse. It doesn't handle curly quotes and appostrophes, adding extra space around them that makes a line of text look weird. I'm uninstalling it for now. Maybe some day it'll rock my socks off. The stated goals of the app are all spot-on with what I was hoping from it, but the implementation just isn't there yet. ### 3/5 — Maybe something to keep an eye on *2023-10-02, version 1.16.5* The premise of Monolog really resonates with me and I feel it's up to something. sadly there was no example tasks so I am not sure how to organise my notes in depth and the support e-mail is protected by cloudfire so I can't contct the developer to ask questions. so I might try it again when the app is more mature. ### 3/5 — doens't sync *2023-01-21, version 1.15.5* please fix. ### 3/5 — Markdown added *2022-12-31, version 1.15.4* From v1.14.14 - a welcome addition. ### 3/5 — Great interface with confusing limitation *2022-12-21, version 1.15.3* The app design and interface is stellar. But confusingly, in spite of this entire “flashcard” premise, it doesn’t actually allow flash cards; it shows you the whole card including answer. Cannot use for study as a result. If this was fixed, i would happy use this app for spaced repetition/note taking, as the note links solve a huge limitation of other spaced repetition platforms. ### 3/5 — Interesting idea but no export feature *2021-11-03, version 1.3.4* Great to see more Zettelkasten focused apps being developed, but the primary objective of the methodology is zero lock-in with future proofing against apps that might go out of business in the future. Exporting is a required feature for a note app to gain any traction in the Zettelkasten and PKM arena. Interested to see how this app develops over time. ### 3/5 — The App has potential. *2021-09-22, version 1.1.3* The UI is great, and the concept of having "mentioned" and "mentions" is nice. But as of now, there are a few issues with the app: - Text formatting is not easy. We also need markdown capabilities to better express ourselves with elements of text. - This is the major issue - the app crashes very consistently. It's easy to replicate this - click on the sidebar elements, one after another, and you have a crash. This is a deal breaker, so please fix this. ### 4/5 — Request: hide bottom bar *2022-12-17, version 1.15.3* Can there be an option to hide the bottom bar. If you don’t need flash cards, and mostly a journal, the bottom bar has no use. The other buttons are just flash cards and contact info. Put it in a hidden slide menu on the right maybe. Like the note list on the left. I love how Monolog also has a built-in daily review of my notes, which is so useful for remembering what you are collecting. Finally, the web page download to your notes function is soooo handy!
