## What is Monologue?

Monologue is what happens when you talk through your work instead of typing it.

It starts as dictation that writes what you meant. Use it for voice notes on a walk. Use it for meetings without a bot. Give the transcript to your agents and keep building.

It stays with you from Cursor to a walk to a call.

WHY PEOPLE SWITCH
Most dictation apps get the words down. Monologue gets the intent. It cleans filler, matches the tone of the app you are in, and remembers your names and jargon.

WHAT YOU GET
• Dictation in any app. Cursor, Slack, email, iMessage, docs. Talk, and the text is ready to send.
• Voice notes on a walk. Record from iPhone or Apple Watch. Transcript and summary waiting when you are back.
• Meetings without a bot. Capture the call without inviting a stranger into the room.
• Ready for your agents. Hand the note to the tools you already use and keep building.

ALSO BUILT IN
• Modes that change how it writes (chat, email, code, or your own)
• Personal dictionary for names, acronyms, and product language
• 100+ languages, including mid-sentence switches
• Offline transcription on Mac

### 5/5 — Wispr Flow alt

*2026-07-11*

I love the Every newsletter so much that the apps feel like a bonus. I fell in love with using dictation with Wispr Flow but realized I could do similar or same with Monologue. I have yet to test M on Mac and hoping it has some of the smart saving properties that Wispr does! (Like if I forget to put my cursor in the right place can I go back and grab the transcript from the app directly?) Stoked to give it a try.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-06-16*

I I love using Monologue. I find that it's made my phone so much easier to use. Highly recommend it. I keep finding new ways to use it.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-04-26*

Excellent

### 3/5 — it works well operationally, but…

*2026-04-25*

it seems geared only for professional corporate use not personal. everything gets flattened and all tone and personality it stripped away. makes everything sound like a polite old lady. this is not what the description promises when it says “writes the way you talk”. great concept but too sanitized and generic. disappointed. won’t buy it.

### 5/5 — Amazing, works great.

*2026-04-24*

I really appreciate how slick the interface is.

### 5/5 — Perfect and productive

*2026-04-21*

Development on this has been incredibly fast, but as they add additional features, it's not feeling bloated at all. The app just works and does what it's supposed to do and gets out of the way. It's quickly become the most useful app on my phone.

### 5/5 — It works

*2026-04-03*

Obviously this is dictated. First try. No problems.

### 5/5 — Funktioniert gut. Unentbehrlich für mich inzwischen

*2026-03-24*

Die App funktioniert super. Ich schneide damit Termine mit, mache Posts fertig und bekomme von längeren Notizen, die ich diktiere, eine tolle Zusammenfassung und kann das gut weiterverarbeiten. Genau was ich brauchte.

### 5/5 — Wish I Had It Sooner

*2026-03-22*

Total game changer! This makes dictation actually usable, especially for lengthy dictations. The ability to create Modes with rules for different apps or websites is amazing. The Notes feature is also very powerful and has allowed me to capture my thoughts ad hoc and send them to my Notion task inbox. Give Monologue a try, especially if you work on your phone and Mac desktop… it works seamlessly across both.

### 5/5 — So much better than apple keyboard

*2026-03-07*

Finally a dictation keyboard that just works! Love the design too. I tried wisprflow before this but that was clunky and kept dropping my notes. But Monologue feels very reliable.
