## What is MoNomo?

MoNomo is a community app for people who have left the Mormon church, are questioning, or are somewhere in between. Find friends who understand, meet up in person, talk things through, and get practical help, all in one place.

YOUR HOME BASE
Your home screen is a set of circles: Gather, Resources, Discuss, Network, News, Journal and Vent, with your favorite friends and boards orbiting close by. Bigger circles mean more is going on.

FIND YOUR PEOPLE
- Add friends by name or @username. There is no public list of members to browse.
- Invite someone with your own link, and they start out as your friend.
- Private messages with friends, with block and report on every profile.

MEET UP
- Real local and online groups and events, listed from public information with a link to the source.
- Filter by place, date and who it is for.
- Start your own group or event. Every one is reviewed before it goes live.

TALK IT THROUGH
- Moderated discussion boards for family and mixed-faith relationships, faith transitions, LGBTQ+ members, new faith, women and gender, and more.
- Fresh conversation every week, with an archive you can search.
- Community guidelines that protect everyone, believers included.

REAL HELP
- Guides on topics like resigning your membership, staying safe, and navigating family.
- A curated library of books, podcasts and organizations.
- Crisis lines are one tap away on every Resources page.

JUST FOR YOU
- A private journal with prompts and moods. Add a passphrase lock if you want one.
- Vent when you need to blow off steam.
- Track your Ex-versary and milestones, and share only what you choose.

WORKS OFFLINE
Lost your signal? MoNomo opens your saved copy, and anything you post while offline sends once you are back.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY
- You choose what each part of your profile shows, and to whom.
- Messages, journal entries and private profile details are encrypted on our servers.
- No ads. We do not sell your data.
- For adults 18 and over.

MoNomo is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a place for support and friendship, not for attacking anyone's beliefs.

### 5/5 — Cathartic Conmection

*2026-10-25*

The jokes are on point! It reminds me of all the reasons I left the Mormon Church while also providing a place to connect to process my thoughts and feelings.
