Unable to update subscription. ### 2/5 — Not very user friendly… *2024-06-15, version 27.10.0* I think that this app is a ploy by the folks at the Monroe Evening News to improve sales of their print edition! Because no self-respecting group of journalists would put this out “as is”. It’s clunky and not very user-friendly. The classifieds can’t even be accessed without several hoops, and then you’re still likely to get an error message. When you get the daily email with reasons to read the News, the advertisement at the top of the page is so huge, it looks like it’s a story, and not just an advertisement. But the app continually shuts down after a few seconds of browsing. It’s a very consistent happening, and frustrating. Anyone there paying attention? Thank you. ### 1/5 — I used to strongly recommend to neighbors, friends & family *2016-02-19, version 5.52.8* Monroe News app was an excellent resource for happenings in Monroe. Although the articles were consistently plagued with punctuation and grammatical errors (good for a bit of a chuckle), it was nice to have instant access to matters that concern residents of Monroe. The app has been non functioning since the end of 2015. Beginning to think that the new owners of the newspaper didn't see value in the app and suspended support for it. Will the issue be addressed? I hope so! It was a very nice feature and benefit (and somewhat of a luxury for a small town/demographic). Please fix it. Access to information builds a stronger community and an informed citizen base. 4/4.5 stars when it works...(would 5stars if the articles would dig a bit deeper and report more of the facts and information about the subject matter), less than 1 star due to the current status of being useless.
