The interface, like the Maker app, is polished and along with all interactive imagery, very stylised. Once you accept this app is for colouring Monsters (should be no surprise) and nothing else, then you'll love the choice of images, brushes, fill patterns etc. I think I might enjoy this more than my little one right now but she is nearly 3 so is still developing the level of dexterity you'll need to get the most out of this, however she still loves it. Adding an aspiration to subliminally introduce snippets of classical music to your little ones makes this app even more intriguing. In short, very creatively engaging and definitely one that will get some use over the next few months. Only negative, the 5-10 secs loading waits that can be experienced when starting some new monster art. It completely erases what I was working on. It's not just with me, it will do it on my mother and my friends iPads, as well. However, there in a big crash problem in the brush-selecting mode. Not okay with my 4 year old or myself. Maybe most of the good reviews are by parents. I bought this thinking it would be a relaxing, fun thing to do a few minutes a day. But the only thing adult fingers can do is fill areas with the tools. There is absolutely no way to "color" and stay in the lines. It's a mess. The pictures are simply too small. And as many people have mentioned, there's mo way to make them bigger. The drawings are top notch and the colors and patterns are fine. The real problem is the performance. It runs very slow for a paint program running on the iPad. The interface makes it difficult to use, even more so for children. Most troubling though is the amount of crashes. My child has yet to be able to finish and save a monster after about an hour of use; annoying for an adult, even worse for a child. If they can work past and patch these problems then the app may be worth a purchase, as of now it maybe money wasted. ### 2/5 — Cute but buggy! *2011-08-09* Downloaded this for my brothers kids. The idea and the graphics are really nice but the app is really buggy, keeps freezing and quitting every time you paint more than one colour.
