The pieces and their placements are kinetic...meaning the game pieces can be placed anywhere on the grid from one game to the next. This helps promote visual memory and the ability to scan which helps us to read and write in a smooth coordinated manner. The game starts out with 4 monsters on a grid of 9 and progresses as a child is successful. This has had a permanent place on my iPad since downloading. The difficulty rate increases with each round. Monsters are cute. Good for all ages, including adults. But unfortunately when you touch the wrong card you are instantly dumped out of the game, growled at, and face a black screen with this message-FAILED- in huge block letters. Parents and teachers beware. Even as a self confident adult I was shocked and dismayed and I don't think children will want to try again.
