It would be nice to see controls for the microphone added, and the volume buttons are either MAX or OFF, which is silly. For bass, and treble, you can adjust stepwise using those buttons. Why not for volume? These seem like easy upgrades. Then the fonctionalities are those from years ago and nothing has been updated since. This is an insult to those who bought 250$+ each speakers (and I have 4). Speakers are great but app needs lots of development especially for a company like Monster. Looks like they hire interns and are not paying them to work on the app. Unfortunately I need the app to launch the speakers and synch the lights otherwise I would remove this rudimentary app from my iPhone ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-04-02, version 3.18* App serves no purpose whatsoever ### 1/5 — Not even close *2023-01-09, version 3.18* I bought the RR270 after setting a friends speaker. The speaker is great, the App, not even close. There is almost no compatibility with the RR270 other than volume, and turn the LED lights on or off. No radio control, no input selection, no EQ control. Looks like a half finished app. So the speaker, great. The App, not so much. ### 2/5 — Poor experience, only useful to set FM *2022-07-04, version 3.17* I have the Rockin Roller 270x and it seems this is the app to use with it but it’s not labeled as being developed by Monster which is concerning. I downloaded it and like a lot of people said the user interface is poor at best. It is not intuitive on what you need to do and took me a couple minutes to figure out how to control my speaker. I used the app to set the FM presets which is easy but really silly how they have it designed. The speaker is insanely slow to set the presets so it was faster to use the app but after I set them I deleted the app because it’s not good. Speaker is great but this app is not. ### 1/5 — Poor Quality *2022-06-26, version 3.17* The App worked last summer pretty good. Now it will not work, will sync speakers and disconnect randomly. Msg Monster for help. However, that was disappointing with minimal response that had no solution. The features are good 👍 and do work but improvements need to be made in: - Alarm feature is real finicky and constantly resets to default settings when trying to edit. - sliders for volume don’t change as you slide only on release. - radio preset setting just doesn’t seem intuitive (not an issue would just not convenient) - (not an issue) more preset color combos for lights? Like wave, fireplace, ect…. Long time fan of the brand and hopefully this was helpful not just critical. Thanks for any consideration. App works like a charm, had to watch a video before installimg the app yo make sure to buy the speaker and let me say its worth the download. (Very Nice Sound!)” ### 5/5 — Awesome Monster App *2022-04-06, version 3.17* Zone control app is definitely a plus for multiple bluetooth speakers. Purchased the flame 2 thinking it would also connect via easy play but it does not. Really was disappointed with the sound. I was looking for an alternative and stumbled across the Monster Glo 2 speakers. They are slight more $ for the pair but are worth every penny. The sound is fantastic, however they are not very loud but where I live I can’t really play them too loud anyways. The app is cool, allows fine control of the colors and volume of each speaker.
