Far too many steps for what should be a simple process! ### 4/5 — Working great after figuring out how to set timer. *2026-08-27, version 2.94.0* Using this app instead of glitching software of home charger. Setting delay time a bit awkward as I have a hand tremor and the clock icon is fiddly. Acquired a new router and needed to connect to it. App is non-user friendly and just would not connect to the router. Help was a total waste of time. Should be straight forward, one time connect to the router. But there is no option to do this. I reverted to the SyncEV Energy app and it connected first time without issue. Pretty poor if I’m honest I like the app and use most days with my home charger but it’s nice to see my charge cost edit ! Massive rip off ### 1/5 — Appalling Practice *2026-08-27, version 2.94.0* Read the small print before users. Once your charge is complete an idle cost is applied of £1 per minute. (Not a typo - £1 per minute. Ultimately 1 hour of parking for £60) ### 1/5 — Don’t give them your money. *2026-08-27, version 2.94.0* Terrible app, clunky and difficult to use. Ended up putting money into a “wallet” which couldn’t be used to pay for a charge, they stole a penny for nothing then refused to refund the lot back to my card. They held it for ransom and wanted my full bank details so I’ve now had to report them to my bank and start a chargeback. 0 stars if I could. ### 1/5 — Degree required *2026-08-24, version 2.94.0* Not clear to use. Incorrect QR codes on chargers. You can upload credit but when you charge you still have to use bank card. Delay charging start, so if you have to leave car, and it does charge when it says it’s going to, it has been sat not charging. Never had issues with charging the way I have with Monta. Very frustrating and makes me reconsider getting a car that requires petrol or diesel again. ### 1/5 — Too many clicks *2026-08-19, version 2.93.1* They changed all of the chargers in my office parking lot to this provider. I used to just have to click once for payment. Now I have to click so many times and make selections. It doesn’t sound like a big deal and it truly is a first world problem BUT they are missing out on revenue because sometimes if I don’t make all the right selections before the app times out I will be parked all day without realizing the charger was never activated. Also the $50 deposit is egregious so stupid. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-08-03, version 2.91.1* Wasted time attempting to connect to chargers , support was not very good ### 1/5 — Confusing app *2026-07-30, version 2.91.1* £40 pending on your account each time you charge. Wallet is a complete con where you add minimum £10 only to find that you need to pay an additional £6 for the privilege to use contactless card or fob. For some reason it doesn’t allow you to use this credit through the app I honestly despair with these apps. ### 1/5 — Eingeschränkt und unbrauchbar *2026-07-28* Wollte bei Monta laden. Bzw. Bei E-Sprit. Erst hat das Laden ohne App nicht funktioniert. Es ist unnötig kompliziert gestaltet. Komisch, als ob unbedingt möchte, dass die App genutzt wird. Dann musst du rausfinden welche App. Eine E-Sprit App gibt es nicht. Habe herausgefunden das es diese hier ist. Anmelden, usw. Dann findest du heraus ups du kannst nur mit Apple Pay bezahlen. Hätte ich dann auch noch einrichten müssen. Noch ein Zahlungsdienst. Ne danke. Zu kompliziert. Zu aufwendig. Da gehe ich lieber zu einer Konkurrenz die es einfacher und günstiger macht. Denn der Preis war auch deutlich zu gierig. ### 1/5 — Laden klappt nicht aber das Abbuchen *2026-07-27* Ich habe 3 x versucht eine Ladesäule zu aktivieren mit dieser App mir wurden 50 Euro und 18 Euro und 18 Euro belastet ich bekam sofort einen Report NULL geladen Null Euro aber auf meine Rückbuchung warte ich seit Tagen sobald ich das Geld zurück bekomme habe werde ich diese unnütze App löschen ### 1/5 — Lacking support *2026-07-26, version 2.91.0* Find yourself a competitor and try to avoid Monta.
