I continue the tradition by sharing articles with my children, siblings and friends via email and Facebook. I often use the app to find articles I have just read in the paper, or rather I should say I TRY to use the app for that. Maddeningly, the app seems to display only a sampling, not all the contents of the paper. ### 4/5 — Fix this one thing *2017-01-28* I like having access to local news via this app. I'm also a paper subscriber. Notifications in the app do not go to the story in the notification when tapped and they obviously should. For local news and especially the local sports and Prep twitter updates. Just organize by local news. The breaking news isn't really breaking news because the what's posted is usually 1, 2, or 3 days old. The photo section should feature local photos of local events. Add maybe a student section or student of the week section to attract young readers and/or writers. ### 1/5 — Bad design *2013-03-21* This is one of the worst newsreader apps I've seen or used. From terrible opening graphic to a terribly slow update process to a poor GUI this app needs serious work. It will let me open an article but cannot scroll through article. Seems like something pretty simple to fix. One problem with the app: images are too big to let the reader see all of what's in the cartoons. I can't find a way to make them smaller, so I miss the punchlines.
