### 4/5 — Great app - one of the better ones

*2016-02-02, version 2.4*

Gave my kid confidence. Nice little sounds to reward/motivate.

### 4/5 — Good+ but with niggles

*2015-10-12, version 2.2*

Its a solid learning tool, which is worth having, but the interface isn't quite good enough to cope with toddlers style of attack. It has got confused enough to be restarted, or provide inaccurate counts!

You need to do it with the child as it's too boring or difficult for them alone. BUT

IT's a solid and varied solution to a difficult problem (teaching basic counting and maths)

So, good, but should be better. And clearly was not tested enough on toddlers

### 2/5 — Bad design

*2015-07-13, version 2.2*

Needs a menu you can navigate and drill down instead of being forced to do simplistic and boring drills each time. Needs to be more challenging and less boring for kids who can count and want to learn math and not be drilled to boredom.

### 3/5 — Overall okay

*2014-06-22, version 2.1*

Good for those who are just beginning to learn their numbers. My niece liked it a lot.

### 5/5 — Fabulous app

*2014-02-22, version 2.0*

I got this for our 2 year old as he loves numbers. I had the same issue about the sound until I went into the settings -General - Sounds and found the ringer for alerts etc was off! A great app with progression. Son absolutely loves it.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2014-02-17, version 2.0*

I'm pretty upset with this app... The controls are sloppy and the games are incredibly boring. For instance, if you drop a number too early or not precisely on the line you have to watch it slowly crawl back to the bottom of the screen before you can try again. Kids don't have patience for this stuff. Also, you can't speed up the progression of the numbers before each game. In an incredibly boring monotone the game lists 1-10 and forces you to watch.

All in all, this game is boring, annoying, and hard to use.

### 5/5 — Focused and well designed ...

*2014-02-17, version 2.0*

... A really good multilingual resource to teach young children the concept and how to write numbers. I tried out a number of apps with my daughter, but this one is by far the best.

### 1/5 — Gmom

*2014-01-16, version 2.0*

Would like to give this a higher rating because I did work in a Montessori school but, can't hear it. Kids can't hear then they don't want to play.

### 2/5 — Beautiful but poor playability

*2014-01-15*

This app is gorgeous, I've never seen one so beautiful in color, texture, and font. And the sounds are really nice.

The problem is its mechanics. For example, the number identification exercise requires the player to -precisely- place the number on the dotted line. Fine for older kids but frustrating for a two year old. It becomes more an exercise in mechanics than a math lesson. It pains me to watch my son select the correct number and see the app treat it like it was wrong.

Similarly, the red circle counting exercise wants you to place the circles in a certain pattern, as opposed to just selecting the correct number of red circles. By mixing mechanics with math, this app just ensures that these exercises won't help kids until a certain age. If this is all Montessori, I'd have to question that whole teaching philosophy.

Also, and this may just be an easily solved technical issue, on the iPad, you can't control the volume. It's turned up all the way and you can't turn it down. Really frustrating.

### 3/5 — No volume control

*2014-01-07, version 2.0*

I like this app for my girls but CAN WE PLEASE GET SOME VOLUME CONTROL? ITS STUCK ON THE HIGHEST VOLUME SETTING!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-02-24*

I download the app and the page takes a long time buffering and don’t charge. I was able to try on the activities at some point, I don’t know if it was intentional but there no sound to explain what to do, I assume a parent should direct the child then no autonomy at all. I tried to write to customer service and got a failed delivery to their email. I guess they are out of business?

### 1/5 — Help!

*2017-02-18, version 2.6.1*

I am so excited about playing this game with my kiddo but every time I try to open the app, it closes before it can make it to the menu. I've tried rebooting my phone and reinstalling the app but no luck. We love Intro to Letter and Colors and would really like to be able to do Intro to Numbers too.

### 1/5 — Frustrating and Complicated

*2016-06-23, version 2.5.1*

This app is garbage. I was using it with my child and noticed that it wants the user to perfectly or you will never get your child to the next step. I was hoping a Montessori app would be of greater use to me. The ides is great and the activities are appropriate but they don't work well on an iPad.

### 1/5 — Stop nagging me to sign in!!!

*2016-04-05, version 2.5*

Please stop! I've paid for the game already!!!

### 1/5 — One star

*2016-03-03, version 2.5*

One star for useless update summary.

### 1/5 — Stop Working

*2015-11-11, version 2.4*

Waste of money

### 1/5 — No sounds on iPad Air 2!

*2015-08-25, version 2.2*

I can't seem to get the sounds to work. It's working on other apps.

### 1/5 — recommend passing on this one

*2014-09-13, version 2.1*

feels like i wasted my cash.

### 1/5 — The title is totally wrong

*2014-07-08, version 2.1*

I want My Money BACK not adding nor subtracting, wrong, wrong.

### 1/5 — Miss-leading title

*2014-05-30, version 2.1*

Your company list's this as Intro to math.
But there is NO!! adding subtracting, multiplying or dividing. Should be titled intro to numbers or intro to counting. I want my money back :/

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Exactly what Montessori should be

*2022-01-27, version 3.1.2*

No bells and whistles no cartoon characters no distractions from the task at hand. Only problem is the tracing noise is abrasive to austistic and sensory sensitive children. Please remove it!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2021-05-16*

I like this app a lot I have seen my 3year old sister’s improvement in identifying and writing numbers

### 5/5 — Authentic and beautiful

*2020-05-07*

This is the way Montessori apps should be done. This works so well. A must have app for any 2 year old. Maria Montessori would have been proud. The App is extremely designed and stays true to Montessori principals. We use this in our school and the progress children make is remarkable. Because of the automatic correction system it helps with consistency and easy supervision.

### 5/5 — Game

*2020-04-27*

Good game lots of fun

### 5/5 — Fun 1-10 Math App

*2016-03-23*

This app is great for teaching and reinforcing 1-10 number skills.
It uses several Montessori activities as its foundation for teaching and reinforcing 1-10 numerals and 1-10 quantities. It has 6 different choices of games. Some of the games have different levels of play to them. The voices are sweet and kind. The interface is child friendly. The app does not go off into all sorts of wild and crazy distracting noises and graphics, but is simple and to the point. It focuses on the objective of learning. The app does not make lots of distracting noises when the “wrong” answer is chosen, but merely asks again for the quantity. Yes, this app is $5 which seems high on the app store, but most people seem to want everything for free on the appstore. This app only works with 1-10. This app is designed for preschoolers just starting out with math. For these things it does a great job and is worth the price of a coffee or a movie to help your child learn

### 5/5 — Great

*2015-09-04, version 2.2*

I find the app great for tracing numbers and children enjoy this aspirin particular.

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2015-02-12, version 2.2*

My 3 yr old actually wants to play this and she has fun doing it. One of the best number learning apps I have seen. I would like it if the number tracing part wasn't so picky when she goes outside the lines but other than that, wonderful app.

### 5/5 — Tony

*2014-06-03, version 2.1*

My 2 yes 8 month old daughter finds this very interactive and a useful tool to build on. re budding number work, she already can count etc so learning to use and write numbers in this intuitive app is a natural next step for her.

Will download the letters and colours next...best educational app we have found so far.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2014-06-01, version 2.1*

My just 3 year old loves this app and is very child friendly

### 5/5 — Top marks

*2014-04-03, version 2.1*

Great educational game for kids
