It was a delight to puzzle through. It had just the right amount of challenge. MV2 is just too easy. It feels more like a walk through of basic illusory concepts, rather than a puzzle. I found myself disappointed with it, especially since MV1 set the bar so high. The developers did a fantastic job with the gentle sound effects and background music. I love the 3 dimensional world and the tricky perspective shifts. You truly have to use your spatial awareness and analysis to make it through the later levels. It tickles a part of my brain I don’t get to use often. But Monument Valley 2 and Monument Valley 3 (both of which I played about an hours worth) to be too filled with moments that simply weren’t any kind of challenge at all (beyond to my patience), repeatedly offering few to no choices but to click only one place and then watch the next animation unfold. Absolutely love this. Beautiful storytelling (is this a prequel because THE HATZ ARE THE SAME-) and the music is absolutely amazing.
