The mist unforgivable sin is the 3-4 ads that repeat EVERY 5 MINUTES. We pay a monthly fee to stream these games and then watch the same ads repeatedly - I just mute the TV. App isn’t available on Xbox marketplace or most tv platforms so you have to stream with your phone. After last update, streaming stops casting if screen goes to sleep. So every 2 minutes it freezes and I have to unlock my phone while casting to my tv…. Not a peaceful way to watch the game, thanks for nothing developers ### 1/5 — Sucks *2026-03-03, version 4.36* Costs too much to watch the Caps games. I have to use it for my Caps tickets, but it then takes you to Ticketmaster for your tickets. But can’t go directly through Ticketmaster to see them. And Monumental won’t let me add my tickets to my Apple Wallet, even though there’s a “add to wallet” button…. ### 1/5 — Ownerships greed at its finest *2026-03-02, version 4.36* Monumental and the ownership for the capitals made this terrible app just so the average fan cannot watch capitals games through the local channels. ### 3/5 — Mediocre streaming management *2026-03-01, version 4.36* On occasion, the video feed stops backs up and restarts at some earlier point leaving your viewing stream behind the actual action. The other thing is the audio periodically disappears. Requiring exiting the app and restarting the app to get the audio back. Every game is not available, depending on the broadcast rights and limitations of the broadcast. But most games are on the app. ### 2/5 — Annoying Pop Up Ads *2026-02-28, version 4.36* When you have to pay for access to content in an app, you shouldn’t have to deal with Bet365 ads popping up during game play blocking a section of the game. Ads and gambling prompts are awful. *2026-02-28, version 4.36* Why would gambling prompts, ads, or invitations to watch the replay of what just happened pop up and block the screen in the middle of watching? Super distracting and makes the experience almost impossible. Please go back to streaming with Hulu. Love the caps, but this is not a good app. ### 1/5 — Absolute buggy mess *2026-02-26, version 4.36* I don’t think I’ve ever used a worse app for streaming sports games. You have to jump through literal hoops every time you want to try and watch a game, just for the sign in to say you’ve already verified your account and then have it demand you log in for an endless loop. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2026-07-29* I would have given this 2 or 3 stars, because it does do the basic service of showing the games, though if you don’t watch them live, good luck. The 1-star rating was achieved when I moved, still within their zone, and they decided I no longer had an account. Their customer service would leave out the period in my email and write back emphatically stating that no one at this email address has an account with Monumental. I tried several times and finally gave up. (It must be AI. No human being can be that stupid.) **Developer response:** Hi, I am so sorry to hear that you have had a subpar experience with the Monumental+ app, that is not what we intend for our fans. If you reach out to appsupport@monumentalsports.com, we will personally look after your situation and get you back in the game. ### 1/5 — Worst Owner in Professional Sports *2026-06-17, version 4.38* If you’re interested in watching a bunch of underachieving overpaid athletes sucking up to a Greedy Owner, download this App. The Wizards, Capitals & Mystics all Stink! Don’t take my word for it. Go to Tankathon.com. You will notice that all three of these teams are Lottery Bound. The Owner is great a raising Ticket Prices while consistently providing low quality loosing entertainment. Unless you have a strong stomach, be advised that watching this App can be extremely Gut Wrenching…Viewers Beware! ### 1/5 — Super Spotty *2026-04-09, version 4.37* Works for months and then it breaks on me and I can’t get it to recognize my cable subscription. It’s poorly made and is terrible on both and AppleTV. ### 1/5 — Stupid app *2026-04-06, version 4.37* All I want to do is get a Ticketmaster ticket that someone gave me to see a game. After several attempts (changing password as TM NEVER saves it) to get into my Ticketmaster acct I am then excited to see I have to download another useless app. This useless app wants me to pay for a subscription or connect to my TV provider. I don’t want a subscription and do not have a TV provider. How can I just print the GD ticket? Insane. ### 1/5 — Worst. App. Ever. *2026-04-05, version 4.37* This is hands down the worst TV app around. Every time I open it I have to verify my account only for it to tell me my phone is already linked. It won’t stream to a tv without freezing after a few minutes. When you use the TV app it is extremely difficult to connect your tv provider if you have cable. This is the worst app I have ever tried to use. D.C. needs to figure out a different way to stream or sell the rights because this isn’t it. The app refuses to remember our cable provider, asks us to authenticate cable provider via an email link, the email link provided takes you to the mobile app (if installed) on your phone that does nothing. The provider will not link until you have to call the number. This happens every single game. ### 1/5 — Constant login problems *2026-03-19, version 4.36* I access monumental on the app through a TV provider and it almost never won’t let me login.
