### 3/5 — Eh

*2026-04-02, version 3.14*

I still play it cause when I’m waiting around for something I’ll hop it to check on my farm. The games I don’t see a lot of therapeutic value in. But the cloud one… that one makes me rage every time. That and the assign words to a scene. Both make me shout at my phone.

### 3/5 — upgrading to paid isn’t worth it

*2025-11-28, version 3.14*

i gave it a chance, and i do think there’s potential, but the games feel like they’re made for child development. i understand what they’re getting at, but i think there needs to be a lot more in it to be helpful. absolutely not worth $15 a month either.

### 4/5 — Fix the beginning blurb please

*2025-09-06, version 3.14*

I have a 145 day streak, so I’m enjoying this program and feel fairly committed. My favorite TGs are Word Chains and Unrelated, but I really don’t like Let Go. I’m not sure what that says about me, but I find it interesting that I have such a profound preference for some TGs over others. That’s not why I took away one star though. My reasoning for that is over a relatively minor gripe–the little blurb that pops up when you first open the game! It drives me simply mad. 1) You don’t have to tell me that I’ve reached my highest streak everyday. That really shouldn’t be mentioned unless you’ve been absent from the game for a while and are actively trying to rebuild a streak. 2) Please get rid of the text transition that causes each word to come in one letter at a time, or at the very least, make it so when you tap the screen the whole paragraph just pops up. Either way, just make it faster to read that blurb and get on with the program.

That’s it! So far that’s the only complaint I have about this program. Overall, I’m a big fan and I’ve recommended Mood Bloom to some of my close friends, as well as my husband’s work colleagues, who are all psychiatrists.

### 2/5 — Tedium

*2025-07-29, version 3.14*

New update daily requirements are tedious. The cloud game is ridiculous and impossible.

### 3/5 — Okay

*2025-06-18, version 3.12*

The mini games are okay in the beginning but after a while becomes not so enjoyable. I’m not sure it’s really doing anything for me. Apple trees dying definitely contributes to anxiety for a game that is supposed to help anxiety. I think it also creates an addiction.

### 2/5 — Great idea. Let me skip to the end of the chat.

*2025-05-18, version 3.12*

Make the text faster and skippable or put it in one page. Simulated slow ai is meh.

Skip the intro vid. It’s the dr promo for the game, I already downloaded the ap and am trying to use it stop selling the thing to me and get moving. I know it’s here to help already and if I’m cold dropping a mental health ap on someone the last turning they are going to do is sit through the slow chat and watch a video. Put the clouds first. Put the game first. Make the mental health part in the back ground. It’s like a magic show they are amazing if you see the magic but is pretty lame if you know how it’s done.

Deleted after first clouds because omg the chat is too slow! And skipping isn’t an option. Wanted better mood now I’m writing a grumpy review. Thanks I guess?

### 2/5 — Erased

*2025-05-01, version 3.12*

I was really enjoying this game, got to over level 20 and then all of a sudden all of my progress got erased. I don’t have the energy to start over so sadly I’m going to have to stop playing unless there is a way I can get my progress back.

### 2/5 — Same lessons/games over and over

*2025-04-09, version 3.12*

The speed read game has had the same exact ‘lessons’ literally every day for a week. If I have to read about chichen itza or Marianna’s trench one more time I’m going to lose my marbles fr. Defeats the entire point of the game lol. I DID just get an update to the app today so hopefully that fixes it but their update was long overdue. Seems like an easy enough glitch to fix, not sure why this took so long.

This has happened before but this past week has literally been the same exact ones every day. And the 2 belong thing is so stupid. Another review pointed out the answers are male biased a lot like with the shoe vs ghost thing for the palace with steps… I hate to be rude but who wrote that question in? You’d have to be a literal moron to miss that connection. I would say you should have the people that write your questions tested on both cultural awareness and general pop culture savvy but how someone misses connections that are SO obvious as that… truly mind boggling

### 4/5 — So Confused

*2025-03-24, version 3.01*

This app is kinda fun. I wish it would allow you to purchase stars with the coins you earn so you can build your barn and silo spaces a little faster. Also I’d like to know why my answers are correct in the games. It often tells you why you got it wrong but never why you’re right and honestly most of the time I’m guessing because none of the answers seem correct.

### 4/5 — Helps, has some quirks

*2025-03-24, version 3.01*

I’ve been playing this game for roughly four months now while recovering from a series of traumatic events. I have also been pursuing therapy, education & physical activity as time affords. I have had enough experience with such things as a pattern to notice the difference the game has been making, it absolutely is helping break thought patterns and challenging me to put ideas together faster and link information together in different ways than is often reinforced by depressive episodes.

Sometimes the therapeutic games can feel as though they’re splitting hairs; often the clouds game asks for things of the two options given that seem contradictory, color matching game produces the same color, but because of the shape, it appears different. Sometimes it’s also hard to tell if the blue light blocker is on before bedtime. Similarly, the contexts of the word games can be confusing, and the correct answer can seem like a stretch compared with the alternative to be ruled out. Overall the games do seem to help spur shifts in habitual thinking.

The farm component of the game can get to feeling monotonous, but also engrossing. It feels as though I’m forever having to upgrade silo and barn storage to keep enough items to fulfill orders, to get xp to make new items, etc. Standard issue capitalism treadmill, I guess, but also just beautifying the area can be nice, too. The weekly survey has no option for “I felt down or depressed occasionally”, the jump from “not at all” to “several days” just seems a bit steep, when often is the case that the most honest answer is just occasionally or once or twice.

I would like to see other game elements added, especially requiring much quicker thinking / reaction engagement & arresting type stuff with more real-time stimulus, but I’m also only at level 19 at the time of writing this and there’s more to unlock. I’d imagine there’s more to writing a therapeutic game than meets the eye, as well, so it’s likely an undertaking.

If you want more from the sim-farm element with some gratifying choices matter, action & relationship-building components, Stardew Valley might pique your interest. If you’re looking for some casual puzzles that can be thought provoking & require some strategy, the Simon’s Cat series might be worthwhile, but for a convenient therapeutic aid that has a decent array of quick puzzles backed by research and a sim farm element, this is a great choice as is that has a few areas well worth improving.

### 1/5 — “No Clinical Benefit” unless you pay a lot!

*2025-03-19, version 3.01*

As someone who is barely making ends meet & can’t afford such prices, this was a total waste of time. What a let down — you should let people know about the “no clinical benefit” thing before people waste their time and get their hopes up for nothing.

### 2/5 — I have to restart my phone to close

*2025-02-28, version 3.01*

This app open in a horizontal position on my iPhone 13 Pro. It won’t rotate no matter what I do. I also can’t close it and have to restart my phone to force close. Deleting it now.

### 2/5 — I wish the free version had “clinical benefits”

*2025-02-25, version 3.01*

I really enjoy the look and feel of this game, but I don’t enjoy the fact that the free version is stated to not have any clinical benefits. Frankly, I think your advertisements are misleading in saying that you only have to play this game for 15 minutes to have life changing results. I understand that it takes time and money to create an engaging game, but I don’t think that the consumer should be the one funding it through subscriptions.

### 1/5 — Mood bloom

*2025-02-17, version 3.01*

No way to play this game! You try to play, keep tapping the screen.. nothing happens!! All this game did was piss me off

### 4/5 — Can’t refresh?

*2025-02-13, version 3.01*

I’m liking the game but got stuck now since my marketplace hasn’t updated in many days. Everything I need has been sold.
Without being able to buy wheat, I can’t make feed. No feed, no eggs etc. No eggs, I can’t make things.
My animals are starving. This isn’t helping my mental health. I’ve been seeing improvements but think I need to cancel.
I thought my marketplace refreshed daily; am I incorrect? Or at least when most everything is gone. Please help; this is disheartening.
Also, I play a couple times daily and only once got a day 2 bonus. All the others are repeatedly day 1 even though I played a few times the day before. Grrrrr

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Dangerous App

*2025-09-16, version 3.14*

This app needs to be available off line. Depressed patients become dependent on it.
Using it daily for therapy.
If they can't access it because of internet issues. They may even become more depressed and harm themselves. I accessed this app for over 200 days. My internet is on and works well with other apps. I keep getting the message check your internet connection. My internet connection is working well. The dangerous part is ..
They got these depressed people dependent on the app.
And if they can't access the app.
They will probably become even more deppressed than they were to begin with.

### 1/5 — Toxic

*2025-09-01, version 3.14*

Mental health games shouldn't tell you that you're "wrong." Especially not a game that's trying to get you to think differently. Instantly deleted.

### 1/5 — Broken updates

*2025-07-23, version 3.14*

Latest update is broken. Sugarcane to make a pick axe? Cmon folks, this is unacceptably sloppy coding

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2025-07-19, version 3.12*

Worst game. They don't perform upgrades or bug fixes. Terrible game.

### 1/5 — Too Juvenile

*2025-05-23, version 3.12*

Good gravy, how patronizing.

### 1/5 — Relaxing busy work on

*2025-05-18, version 3.12*

Simple yet engrossing. There is a cost for full features, but after a few days I was satisfied ceded a trial sub for .99 cents. More games, other stuff. Liking it for depression and anxiety.

### 1/5 — App is Free, but not really

*2025-04-16, version 3.12*

It’s free to download the app, but you need to buy the subscription to use the apps full capabilities. Otherwise, you might as well download one of those other farming apps. The app is constantly asking you to subscribe. Great concept, but too expensive for me.

### 1/5 — Terrible experience from game to customer service

*2025-04-09, version 3.12*

I tried the game, and even tested out a subscription so I could sample the full suite of tools.
The farming is micro-managing at its most exhausting, and the mini-games are the same as most Brain-training apps.
I emailed twice asking for a refund and got no response.

### 1/5 — Terrible don't waste your money

*2025-04-03, version 3.10*

This is the worst, most frustrating "game" ever. They need to perfect their product prior to releasing it to the masses. The only thing they do well is to charge your credit card. Too many bugs to list and a class action suit should be filed for a full refund.

### 1/5 — Adding to anxiety!

*2025-03-21, version 3.01*

This “game” is causing me anxiety…I sowed the seeds, the wheat grew, and the stupid girl just keeps walking around! I can’t feed the chicken or do anything else!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very fun

*2025-12-04, version 3.14*

I liked the game but feel like I progressed out of it. The games never got more challenging and it felt very repetitive with the same levels.
I did really enjoy it and loved having it to look forward to once or twice a day. Thank you for making it available.
Customer Service is great!

### 5/5 — Over 265 Days Now

*2025-11-13, version 3.14*

I have been using MB over 265 days consectively. The benefits have been...
1. It has helped me with mood swings caused by anxiety.
2. It has helped me focus
better.
3. The farming somehow has helped me with clutter. I am transforming clutter to organization.
4. This app has helped me
tremendously.
I believe you have to use it everyday to make a difference.
I apolohize that i gave the app a bad rating.
I had a lot of anxiety from bullying.
I needed something positive to keep from retaliating.
The app was off line.
Which caused more anxiety.
I gave it another chance.
I'm so glad i did.

### 5/5 — Sweet little game

*2025-03-01, version 3.01*

I am enjoying the music, easy play, and positive tidbits along the way🌼

### 5/5 — My name is Desiree

*2025-02-16, version 3.01*

Why can I play this game anymore? Makes me feel sad heartbroken now fix this game please

### 5/5 — Great alternative to keep you sharp but not take up too much time.

*2025-02-11, version 3.01*

Good for creative thinking.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2025-02-11, version 3.01*

The game is fun and could be a great way to help me manage my mental heath but the sit is too expensive. I already have a therapist so I don’t need that help but I can’t play much of the mini games unless I pay. That’s disappointing.

### 5/5 — Weirdly it’s helping

*2024-12-20, version 2.99*

Can’t believe this actually works, but I am noticing an improvement. I don’t panic as easily, I’m not fretting as much. It even helped me calm down and think through an issue at work, and saved my boss a lot of trouble. I like it.

### 5/5 — Recommend highly

*2024-10-16*

Has really helped me to get out of my head and lighten my moods.

### 5/5 — It works

*2024-10-15, version 2.95*

I have been using this for over 3 weeks now and it’s definitely helped me in weird ways. Just use it every day, you have to spend 15 minutes on it to get the secret CIA indoctrination for the MK Ultra secret agent training. It’s subliminally implanted with the numbers and words and images! Totally worth it! I’m a level 80 black belt and I’m pretty awesome with nunchucks now! Seriously though wouldn’t that be awesome? Play a bunch of psyche games and turn into a super agent?? They probably made a movie about that already but it would be cooler if you could play it on your phone for real!

### 5/5 — Emotional regulation!

*2024-10-09, version 2.94*

This game has helped me greatly with emotional regulation. I no longer get a surge of emotions when triggered! Not sure how it works but it DOES.
