I instantly fell in love with using this app. It’s very easy to use, visually appealing, and I love that it’s constantly updated with really thoughtful improvements.

### 5/5 — Lovely App, paid for the subscription after 2 weeks

*2025-02-16, version 2025.05*

Really lovely app and appreciate the affordable pricing. Use it every day for 2 months now, so cute!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-01-31, version 2025.04*

I’ve used a bunch of mood trackers and journaling apps and this is the perfect fidelity to capture real time insights without feeling overwhelmed filling out info. Love it! It’s also extremely delightful and well designed. ❤️

### 5/5 — Best mood tracker I‘ve ever used

*2025-01-22, version 2025.04*

I’ve been using unhinged for a while now and it provides valuable insights into that stupid brain of mine

### 5/5 — Just using the app gets me in a better mood.

*2025-01-18, version 2025.03*

I rarely come across apps that still embody the original “there’s an app for that” ethos.

Unhinged is one of those gems. It does one thing and does it exceptionally well.

Its no-fuss approach to mood tracking, combined with a beautiful and well-designed interface, make it a useful tool that is simply a joy to use.

It lowered the barrier for me to record my mood, and I love the calendar view that allows me to quickly identify mood swings.

Getting the Pro subscription was a no-brainer.

### 5/5 — Amazing Design - Fun to Use

*2025-01-07, version 2025.01*

Beautiful, thoughtful interface. A ton of fun to use to track moods. Easily customizable to your needs. Love supporting an indie developer!

### 5/5 — Best Moodtracker

*2024-12-05, version 1.0.3*

If you’re looking for a simple mood tracker, this is it. No cross selling, not a dozen of unnecessary features that overwhelm you. Just mood tracking - quick and easy to use; so you’ll *actually* track your mood. Clearly a lot of care and attention to detail has gone into making this app!

### 5/5 — Better than the built in app

*2024-10-20, version 1.0.1*

This app lives up to its name! It’s super simple and easy to use. I’ve never found a better mood journal than the one built into my Apple Watch and iPhone. This one is actually something I’ll use every day, and it doesn’t feel like a chore at all.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2024-08-14, version 1.0.1*

Just some feedback on first use … Beautiful ui. Cute animation intro. Well designed.

This would be even better if it had iCloud sync and an Apple Watch app. I have been looking for a great mood tracker with a watch app. Hope you are working on an Apple Watch app, and iPad version too!

 Appreciate the fine work.

### 5/5 — 5 stars is not enough

*2024-07-14, version 1.0.1*

I really wish I had discovered this app earlier, it's fantastic! This is exactly what I wanted - simple, without complicated mechanisms or a steep learning curve. The graphics and interface are user-friendly and appealing. Opening it is a pleasure, and it can even improve my mood a bit when I'm feeling down. I absolutely love it. Thank you to the developers.

### 5/5 — Best I‘ve found so far

*2024-05-22, version 1.0.1*

I've been going through a tough time recently and wasn't sure if my mood and thoughts were still in a healthy place. So I wanted to track it to see whether good or bad days predominated and to figure out if there was a pattern. This app allowed me to do that. Pretty happy with it, couldn‘t find a better one so I would recommend. Though I would suggest to track moods over a longer period of time and not to stop early if things feel alright for a week or two.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 4/5 — Almost there

*2025-08-23, version 2025.17*

The one thing that’s missing is counting the average mood for the certain period. Right now the app takes the first entry’s mood and marks that period with that mood. If the first entry in the afternoon is bad, and 3 more afternoon entries are marked as great, then the app will still mark the afternoon as bad, which makes no sense. Fix that and it’ll be 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Tolle App

*2025-04-17, version 2025.16*

### 4/5 — Great Design, Awesome Privacy

*2025-02-20, version 2025.08*

Love the apps design and focus on privacy.

It’s great that there is optional integration with Apple Health. Focus on optional here :D

I would love to be able to add custom tags(?) instead of “time outdoors”, because sometimes I am missing more specific circumstances

### 4/5 — Great but subscription fee

*2025-01-09, version 2025.02*

The app has a really simple and easy to use interface, with lots of functionality. However, I really wished there wasn’t a subscription fee for the full version, or at least an option for a lifetime membership or one time payment.

### 5/5 — My favorite!

*2025-07-03, version 2025.17*

I love this app!!!! The faces are so cute and I love getting the notifications and knowing it’s time to journal! Definitely recommend! You don’t even need a subscription to enjoy it! Great app!

### 5/5 — Bestes Moodtracking

*2025-04-28, version 2025.17*

Simpel und dennoch nützliche Einsichten in alles, was man dort einträgt.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2025-04-21, version 2025.16*

Its very good.🎊🏆 I have tested a lot of app, this one is the easies. Its clean, simple and the UX is very good. Adding an entry is in one page. Its way better than multi page with useless data like all the other app. We can start focus and spent the less amount of Time on it. Its could be perfect if we could add/Edit the 5 initial « mood » to fit what we are looping for (for exemple, not the « happinest but something else ) The major missing part is the capacity to add entry in the past. Please add this, I need to be able add event later on (like when someone is not behind my back) Otherwise its very very good. 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊💴

### 5/5 — Simple and elegant apps

*2025-04-17, version 2025.16*

Idk why last two tabs as different background colors than 1st two tabs

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Unhinged makes me feel OK

*2025-04-05, version 2025.13*

This app is a delight to use even in my darkest hours. I love how it helps me celebrate the good while allowing me to feel the bad.

### 5/5 — Immer noch die beste App

*2025-04-03, version 2025.12*

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend

*2025-04-02, version 2025.12*

I instantly fell in love with using this app. It’s very easy to use, visually appealing, and I love that it’s constantly updated with really thoughtful improvements.
Have so much data in it, would love some sort of weekly recap, AI recap? Needs something like this.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-03-10, version 2025.09*

Seriously. This thing just gets better and better. It deserves more eyes on it! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted, a mood journal AND a way to pair moods with people and events. The people feature is such a great addition!!

The only request I have is that I’d love an icon change option! If there could be a slightly off white version of the app icon I’d eat that up.

### 5/5 — Super quick and joyful journaling

*2025-02-25, version 2025.08*

Almost exactly what I wanted. A quick way to journal by tagging people and emotions. Couple this with graphs to visualise your relationships. This is simply excellent convenience of logging in interactions and emotions.

The few requests and improvements that I have are:
1. Ability to add photos as part of the entry (would help relive the day and the timeline so much better. Apples journal app actually does a nice job of this)

2. A widget. Even a simple one with the daily mood overview. The one Peat will also do in essence.

3. Is there a way to plug into apples contact photos? Adding everyone manually each time slows me down when I want to quickly journal.

4. Maybe eventually a Mac app. But for now a Mac mirroring is fine.

Great app. Great joyful design (saying this as a UX designer) Keep up the great work. Thanks for releasing this.

### 5/5 — Very promising!

*2025-02-23, version 2025.08*

There are a lot of very good ideas here and the execution is so neat (besides a couple of very minor ui bugs). I think this app could be very helpful because of how simple it is. I really wish there were more nuanced ways to express mood besides the 5 that come standard. Other than that very pleasant to use app.
