## What is MOODA Legacy?

#The previous MOODA app has been changed to MOODA Legacy app.
Since launching the initial MOODA app and updating various features, it has evolved to its current form. We started with a light-hearted approach but put in efforts to provide a service that is more valuable than its selling price, thanks to the love and support from many users.

The previous MOODA app was implemented to store data only on the device without server integration. As we provided data backup/restore through external cloud integration, there were several issues that were difficult to control internally. To provide better long-term service, we decided to keep the previous MOODA as MOODA Legacy app and release a new MOODA app.

While the previous MOODA app was a lightweight utility app, the new MOODA app will be a service with features such as account login and social functionalities. Users who have purchased and used the app can continue to use the MOODA Legacy app. If you have deleted the app from your device, you can reinstall it from App Store > Account > Purchased Items > My Purchases.

#Data Transfer Feature for Those Who Want to Move from the Previous MOODA App to the New MOODA App
The new MOODA app offers most of the features provided by the previous MOODA app for free, along with additional new features. However, the significant difference is that it is no longer just an app for individual use but an app that can be used together, with the introduction of account-based login services. For those who want to use the new MOODA app, we have developed a feature to transfer diary data from the previous MOODA app to the new MOODA app. Developing data transfer functionality from the server-integrated new app was not an easy task and we are investing costs for this task. However, we have made diligent efforts to securely encrypt the existing diary data of users who want to use the new MOODA app and store it on the server, ensuring a continuous experience. Also, during the first month of the new app launch, we have prepared a small gift for existing users who have completed data transfer.

I have been using this for months and recently the widget app wouldn’t update when I put a new entry in. So I thought deleting it and downloading it again would help, it didn’t. Now the widget is completely blank, and it doesn’t even have the month or days on it. Don’t waste your time, and money, on this app.

I was never one to keep a diary or to journal but using this app helps me a lot. Its super therapeutic and it allows me to vent with no worries. You can even enable a password incase someone tries to look at your entries. With that being said I think there could be some improvements like more moods and emojis added as well as multiple entries. Overall I love this app so much and it's so cute!

I bought this app to record my daily thoughts like a diary but I ended up getting my credit card info stolen from purchasing this app. Luckily I linked my credit card to my apple purchases so I got fraud warnings. I can’t imagine what would have happened if it were my debit.

I really love this app, however I have a few pet peeves. I wish entries would auto save, sometimes I forget to save and exit the app and lose my entire entry. The notes app on the iPhone doesn't do this, it auto saves. Also- I would like the entries to auto lock after a min of inactivity. There are times I have had to walk away from the computer and not have time to save and exit. Auto saving/locking the entries after a few mins of inactivity would help tremendously. I hate that when I click save I get booted out of the entry. If I want to keep writing I need to go back in, it's annoying. I want to type in the mood, and I'd like more mood options. Other than that, I love the app and it is useful for mental health!

cute concept for an app, but there are some things that can make the app better:

1. an option to organize the days as a calendar. (or at least 7 days in one row) it is pretty hard to reflect on my month when i can’t even tell which day is what.

2. some more nuanced faces. it is often hard to pick a mood for a day that was just “ok” because of this, i use the green “calm” face more often than i should. additionally, i use the red face for multiple feelings and i wish there was some other option i can choose between

seeing the reviews from a year ago saying the same things, it doesn’t look like any change will happen soon. i want to keep using this app but honestly i might stop and just do it myself on paper.

Love the app!!! Easy to use and fun and cute. But my only “complaint” (if you could even call it that) is that it would be nice to have more emoji/mood options, that’s kind of limited. Possibly in the future adding different packs we can choose form seems cool :)

oh my gosh this app ... I love the design of this app like we can choose the font and so but we can write only once in a day??!!! wth!! I want to write everything in my mind on dairy anytime in a day ..!!! and it is little uncomfortable that I cannot see when I wrote on first page I should touch the emoji then I can see the date... 😩😩 I just downloaded it because it is so cute but now I am considering to erase this app or not .. 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

Emmo:
 - has mood “emoji” and name customization 
 - allows more than just one mood a day
 - has a simple flow between months
 - includes the day of the month WITHIN the app monthly view 
 - doesn’t have needless roadblocks on customization 

 this is a non-exhaustive list of all the things this app is lacking that its free counterpart Emmo has (with basically the same aesthetic just with the downsides of a paywall, popup ads, and an incomplete English translation). that’s honestly very disappointing that a paid app doesn’t even have comparable features. 

 why can we only have one mood a day? it makes the app so much less useful throughout the day, especially if you feel different things and want to have multiple entires and experience the niceness of the app more than once. 

 more stickers would be great and hopefully that will come soon. more importantly, being able to CUSTOMIZE mood faces and names would be a game changer. please at least just let us EDIT the ACTUAL name of a mood instead of just changing it for that one day.

 and idk if this was just a glitch for me but it doesn’t let me change my month highlighter color unless i put an entry first which is… so weird?? why is that a requirement for customization exactly?

 in going for a minimalistic/simplistic aesthetic, i believe the devs went TOO simple. i love the UI and feel of this app but please please please make it actually useable and more than just something pretty we spent money on.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to users of the MOODA Legacy app.

At present, in some cases, data that was stored only on the device and not backed up to the cloud is unfortunately difficult to recover.
We would like to explain how this issue occurred.

In MOODA Legacy version 1.50.0, a logic was implemented to initialize the database if corruption was detected in the internal database file, in order to allow the app to run normally.
During this process, data belonging to users who were not using iCloud synchronization was mistakenly treated as corrupted and could not be recovered.
This issue has since been fixed in later versions so that data is no longer deleted and is properly preserved.

If your data was backed up via iCloud, you can restore it by deleting the existing app and reinstalling the latest version of MOODA Legacy.
If only part of your data is restored, it may be because only data up to a certain point was backed up due to reasons such as insufficient iCloud storage. 
You can also check whether data is actually backed up in iCloud through the in-app logs.

If you manually backed up your data to Google Drive, you can restore it using the restore function within the app.

MOODA Legacy is based on local device storage, and provides iCloud and Google Drive backup options to help users safely store their data.
However, due to the nature of mobile environments, local data can be lost in situations such as device changes, OS updates, or app deletion, so regular backups are recommended.

To address these limitations, the new MOODA has been developed with an account-based server synchronization system.

Nevertheless, this issue was caused by internal processing within the app, and we fully acknowledge that the responsibility lies with us. There is no excuse.
We deeply regret the impact this has had on your valuable records and take this matter very seriously.
