The short version: what you get back should now genuinely match the mood you picked. BETTER MOOD MATCHING Moodie now considers the tone of a title when ranking, not just its genre. Before, an intense action series could top the list for Calm simply because it counted as "Animation" — and it took a last-minute filter to catch it. Tone is now part of the score itself, so soft moods stay soft and Thrilled still brings the intensity. MORE TO CHOOSE FROM Results were being narrowed far more aggressively than intended, so you were often seeing a fraction of what actually matched your mood. Every mood now returns a fuller, more varied set, and "Show more" has real picks behind it. TAP TO WATCH Provider badges are now buttons. Tap Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video or your Plex server and Moodie opens the app — with Plex taking you straight to the title itself. Badges for services we cannot yet open reliably stay as labels, so you never tap into a dead end. SHARE A PICK Send a recommendation to someone with the title, why it matched, and a link they can actually use. PLEX Your library now stays current on its own, checking for new additions in the background rather than only when you open the app. Plex artwork loads far more reliably, and much faster. FIXES • Max: choosing Max as a service returned nothing at all. It works now. • Amazon links opened the Amazon shopping app instead of Prime Video. • Shuffling for new picks returned nearly the same list each time. • Longer result lists could repeat the same title twice. • Quick (under 30 minutes) did a lot of pointless work and then blamed your mood for coming up short. • Loading messages now follow what is actually happening instead of a fixed timer. • Posters are sized to the space they appear in, so results load quicker and use less data. Plus a new app icon. Moodie does all of its mood matching on your device. ### 2.0 — 2026-07-16 Moodie 2.0 is a complete redesign — and it's smarter about how you actually feel.
