### 5/5 — Goals-focused and helpful for depression

*2022-03-29, version 1.5.6*

I have immediately found a liking to this app, it suggested me to do a simple thing such as shower, and then end it with a cold shower. It has helped me already. I like that I can effortlessly have self-help techniques available to me without having to ask friends.

### 5/5 — Enormously Helpful

*2022-03-24, version 1.5.6*

This morning I went from a lot of aches and pains and overwhelm, with lots of gloom and worry, to accepting my first challenge - very simple - and the results surprised me. I felt lighter and ok. The morning mental fog lifted and I had a sensible plan for the day, and for my situation (a challenging work drama).
One simple action of self care and the problems shrank back to manageable size.
Great app for overthinkers in a world that holds us to ridiculous standards.
I am very interested to see how this app works out for me long term.
Five stars!!

### 5/5 — User Friendly

*2022-01-13, version 1.5.5*

I love the choices I’m offered when it’s time for my mission!!
And the explanation of the mission is outstanding !!

### 5/5 — MoodMission

*2021-11-25, version 1.5.5*

Been using the app for 2 days, I never leave reviews but I had to for this one. It’s helping me a lot to get out my head. There’s some great missions to do that’ll help for people that overthink.

### 5/5 — Highly recommended

*2020-04-17, version 1.4.10*

Love the strategies. Brilliant app for supporting your mental health and well-being. Thank you

### 5/5 — Great, worthwhile app

*2020-04-17, version 1.4.10*

I find this app easy to setup and use, and the small, achievable missions have a clear purpose and help me to get a win on the board. Will recommend to friends and colleagues!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2020-04-17, version 1.4.10*

Moodmission is an expertly crafted app by leading psychologists that brings mental health support to your phone. The interface is easy to navigate and the content/activities within are my go-to on a daily basis- I love having access this support immediately, no matter where I am. Highly recommended A+

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful - most practical application of CBT I’ve found

*2018-11-23, version 1.3.4*

This is the ideal implementation of phone based cognitive behavioral therapy. Great app.

### 5/5 — Amazing app but many bugs

*2016-11-28, version 1.1.1*

This app is the best thing for me. But it has so many bugs - for example - I can't click missions at the moment. The idea and research behind it is top notch and I look forward to seeing this app come into fruition

### 5/5 — Beautiful app

*2016-11-01, version 1.1.1*

Definitely needed in stressful hours. I believe all software professionals need MoodMission. Hope this app will be popular.

### 5/5 — Best mental health app out there.

*2016-10-18, version 1.1.1*

MoodMission is a great tool for people who struggle with anxiety or depression - or even those people who are just stressed. The app gives practical, easy missions that have been shown through research to combat negative thoughts and feelings. The new update fixed the bugs & the app itself works great! Love this tool for mental health :)

### 3/5 — Glitchy, buttons won't work

*2016-10-15*

I've managed to get past the survey, however, the only option for the "what I'm feeling" part that works is the "Neither of the above" one, because I can't get past the mood scale part for the other two. I can't even tap on the "accept mission" button either.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not at all as advertised

*2021-05-23, version 1.4.10*

This app is advertised as an app containing CBT exercises. It’s actually a series of quizzes that prompt you to do activities like “do butt kickers for anxiety” or “say I’m strong and I can deal with this.” Very disappointing

### 1/5 — this app is terrible 👁👄👁

*2020-08-28, version 1.4.10*

the questionnaire at the beginning is so overwhelming and stressful. the app’s layout isn’t comforting and is so poorly made. tons of buttons don’t work. if you pay for the upgraded version the app somehow gets WORSE. overall this app is terrible and extremely unhelpful.

anyway, stan conan gray!

### 1/5 — Cannot create a login

*2018-12-19, version 1.3.4*

This seems like an absolutely fabulous app that as a psychologist I would love to recommend to clients. However it won’t allow me to register to be able to use the app. Is there a trick to this?

### 1/5 — I love the idea of the app, but the app doesn't work

*2016-11-02, version 1.1.1*

Great idea, but after taking the surveys some of the option buttons don't work. Please fix the bugs so I can use it to its full potential.

### 1/5 — A total waste of time

*2016-10-09, version 1.0.9*

I heard about this app from an ABC podcast and thought it might be useful. Well it most certainly is not! Some thoughts:

1. It was VERY difficult to register taking multiple attempts, the UI is quite poor even on an iPad Air, on my iPhone 5c it was next to useless.
2. The survey questions seemed Ok but some surveys were difficult to complete. The app not seeming to register that the particular survey was complete, showing say 96% complete then requiring 4 to 5 more attempts to complete the survey.
3. The worst aspect is that when you finish the surveys there is NO RESPONSE! What did the responses to the survey questions mean? Where to next?

This app looks like a data collection exercise for somebody's PHD thesis at the expense of the poor dopes who complete the survey. Very annoying!

### 1/5 — Depressingly Defective

*2016-08-19, version 1.0.5*

People suffering from depression and anxiety do not need the added distress of trying to use an app that has display defects and generally poor user interface design.

Smiling Mind is really good; I don't know why this app is so badly developed.

If the user experience can be fixed, it might live up to its potential.

### 2/5 — Won't scroll down to the button

*2017-07-09*

On the 2nd page of going about getting your mission. So I can't move to the next screen therefore can't use the app for its purpose. Answered all the questionnaires. Disappointed.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Sorry you had trouble with this. We have updated the app now - please let us know if you’re running into the same problems by messaging through the form on www.moodmission.com

### 2/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2016-11-08, version 1.1.1*

It often goes nowhere and clicks open nothing. This app is a great idea but needs lots of work.

### 2/5 — Great app idea...needs work at the moment.

*2016-10-16, version 1.1.0*

I'm very enthusiastic about this app, but currently, beyond the welcome survey it is not seem to be working yet. I hope the bugs can be ironed out as this has the potential to be a very handy and comforting personal tool.

### 3/5 — Good but some little issues

*2016-10-18, version 1.1.1*

Design is beautiful and seems like a helpful app although it's very unresponsive and it gets stuck a lot of the time

### 5/5 — Great app

I love this app!! By the way, the helpline for Canada you have in there is just for Ontario, maybe consider putting in the nation-wide number: 988

### 5/5 — So thankful I found this

*2022-05-20, version 1.5.6*

I loved the app stop, breathe and think and am sad that it will not be available much longer. I am super thankful that they recommended MoodMission. I have found it immensely helpful on multiple occasions already.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-04-01, version 1.5.6*

I was really unsure about using this, thinking I wouldn’t be able to do any of it and it would get me down, but this actuall has a really great range of stuff and there is always something I can do and enjoy doing. Highly recommend!
