### 2/5 — Too Much Trouble

*2023-04-26*

Love the community in this app but the app itself leaves so much to be desired. I’m so tired of having to re-login each time I use it (for whatever reason it won’t save my information and I have to re-type it in), sometimes more than once a day. For that reason alone I’m done with this app. I would consider coming back in the future if this was fixed. It’s effective enough at tracking mood but I’m sure there are plenty of apps for that.

### 3/5 — cute & effective but could be improved with more features

*2022-04-08, version 14.0.0*

my therapist recommended this app to help me track my moods. I think it’s very cute and the layout is very clean & user friendly, but i wish there were more features when it comes to mood tracking, and that it wasn’t just a 1-10 happiness scale. I also wish there wasn’t a character limit for entries.
It’s a nice & effective app for someone looking for the bare minimum in a mood tracking app that needs it to be a simple & quick process they can stick to easily, but personally i would prefer a more thorough journaling/mood tracking app.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review. I hope you find something that fits your needs more closely 🐼 ❤️

### 2/5 — Slow

*2016-04-18, version 2.0.2*

Great idea but the app is slow and has bugs. Keeps crashing

### 2/5 — Fails a lot

*2014-10-06, version 2.0.2*

About half the time after writing an update it won't post. Error code 'no internet connection' even though Internet is fine.

### 2/5 — Buggy and privacy concerns

*2014-09-30, version 2.0.2*

App does a reasonably good job of providing a simple mechanism to sample moods and track them over time. Four issues mar the execution.

1. Over-emphasis on social. Continuously returns to a feed of a bunch of strangers pouring their hearts out into twitter sized updates. Some of what they write is really concerning - like maybe they need to be calling a hotline and not tapping feelings into an app. I was surprised to find that public mode was on by default - every update I made was also being broadcast. It was easy to turn off, but I wonder how many of those people in my feed knew their emotions were on display.

2. I can't make updates without completely closing the app (double-tapping the home button and then swiping up to get it out of memory). It complains of not having an internet connection (always after typing a post, so I have to relaunch and re-enter the update). This problem extends to the web page, too.

3. Crashes. Not all the time but freezes up about once a day.

4. Uses every update to ask for money. I get this is free software, but I really would like to just pay once, dump all the social features, and stop getting nagged.

### 3/5 — Room for improvement

*2014-08-16, version 2.0.2*

Definitely great on graphs, data, as well as a supportive, anonymous community.
However, the app is a bit sluggish and everything feels just a bit cluttered.
Hopefully they'll be updates! Truly has a lot of potential!

### 2/5 — Great idea, poor community

*2014-06-05, version 1.0.9*

If you feel lonely and left out of social interaction, don't download this app. Even though it purports a social component, don't expect to get any support. It's as if current users are in a clique and only interact with each other. New users are ignored.

I was at a low mood before downloading this app and it's even lower now.

I suppose you can skip the social component, but that's the whole point of this app. It's quite depressing.

### 1/5 — Immediate Issues

*2014-01-17, version 1.0.7*

Application home screen aesthetically pleasing but contained immediate issues. Within 15 seconds it had an error message as I attempted to sign in with Facebook (after allowing Mood Panda access etc.) and I had no use of app. Numerous attempts failed. Using Facebook email and password on application proved futile as well. Very unfortunate.

### 3/5 — Glitchy but good community

*2013-08-20, version 1.0.6*

It is a lovely, active and friendly community. I think this app could be top notch if the glitches were fixed. Commenting is a pain - it takes a while and then sometimes won't recognize that I am typing the first few tries. I have also commented on the wrong status before because it zooms in but takes you to the wrong box sometimes and you don't realize until after you've posted that it was on another random status. It is slow changing screens like the others said. Also, please allow for notifications - the panda community offers a lot of support and it is nice to be notified when that happens!

### 1/5 — Mood panda

*2013-08-13, version 1.0.6*

Would not let me log into my account and I don't understand why

### 2/5 — Crashes

*2013-06-13, version 1.0.6*

App crashes every single time right after I update my mood.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No

*2022-11-15, version 14.0.0*

YOUR APP SUCKKKKKSSSSSS!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible App!

*2016-02-06, version 2.0.2*

Don't waste your time with this App! It locks up, it dead-ends and you have to delete the app and start completely over. It has the feel of something thrown together by a 7th grader for a computer programming class!

### 1/5 — Crash on startup

*2015-05-09, version 2.0.2*

The app crashes on start up. Every time, without exception - even after restarting my iPhone.

### 1/5 — Won't open

*2015-01-13, version 2.0.2*

I haven't been able to use this app after the initial install. Disappointed. Looking for a replacement.

### 1/5 — Total crap

*2014-09-14, version 2.0.2*

I thought this was going to be a great app and then I downloaded it. This stupid pos crashes every time you try to open it after your initial use. So now these a$$holes have my email address.

### 1/5 — Had amazing potential

*2014-09-01, version 2.0.2*

Signed up.
Then the app crashed and every time after that I have tapped the icon to launch it, it immediately crashes.

### 1/5 — Won't even open.

*2014-08-28, version 2.0.2*

Nuff said.

### 1/5 — Completely broken

*2014-08-05, version 2.0.2*

First off, the app is sluggish, like loading a webpage on a dial up connection. Then, almost every time I try to open the app it immediately crashes.

I'm running iOS 7 on a 5s; so it's not likely an issue with my device.

### 1/5 — Deceptively invasive

*2014-03-13, version 1.0.9*

Nowhere does it tell you that your moods & journal entries will be posted on a public message board. If I wanted to share my private thoughts with someone other than my doctor, I would have selected the option to share this through social media websites, which I did not. This app is a terrible invasion of privacy.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2014-01-18, version 1.0.7*

Program crashes immediately and repetitively, before I can even log in. Can't even find out if the rest is any good...

### 5/5 — Best there is!

*2017-02-20, version 3.01*

I'm writing this review for my wife because she is the one who uses it. She hasn't had a single complaint about it. Has used it on her iPhone, iPad, & PC. It has never crashed once & she's been using it well over a year. Says it's a wonderful community with tons of great features that cover a wide range of stats. She definitely recommends it to anyone who wants to track their moods or find a terrific support group.

**Developer response:** ❤️

### 5/5 — This was not what I thought it would be:

*2012-06-19, version 1.0.5*

One night I thought I would see if by chance they had an app for dealing with depression. I was actually annoyed with what I found, iCrazy is a offensive name by the way. We all know most "free" apps are BS. This one actually surprised me. The 1st day I started I was having a very bad day. So I entered my mood and wrote why, not knowing it was going to be published to the other people using the app. I noticed. A little later on the app I had email and thought here we go these are the ads and upgrades. It was people sending me support and hugs. I have never thought there would be times in my life that the one thing to keep me going would be my iPhone but, if you suffer from Depression you need to try this app. On top of the support from other one of the coolest things is that it keeps a graph of your moods. That alone makes it worth getting. I love this App and have recommended it a lot of my friends who also could use a little more support in there life. It's amazing how a simple click from a stranger somewhere in the world can make you feel a little better. At the very least that you are not alone. Thank you so much for who ever came up with this app. You have helped me more then you will ever know!

### 4/5 — With and eye to adolescent development

*2017-09-19, version 3.01*

I would give this App a rating of 4 stars out of 5 stars. The reason I didn’t give this App 5 stars is because the user can only rate their happiness and I think that this App has the potential to be even more useful with more emotions available to track. In addition, some of the graphs are a little difficult to read. However, over all I think that this App is developmentally appropriate for adolescents. This is in part because it interfaces with the three R’s of adolescents: the reward system, the relationship system, and the regulator system. Adolescents who use this App with the social media aspect enabled are obviously in the realm of the relationship system, but the mood rating aspect can also tap into the regulatory system by bringing their emotional processes to light. Lastly, the reward system is arguably incorporated when the user received positive feedback in the form of hugs and comments.

### 4/5 — Saved My Life

*2014-03-01, version 1.0.9*

MP Is a Caring, Compassionate, Community of International People, bound by similar issues & experiences.
This App has, literally, saved my life! Whether it be Suggestions, Support, or "Hugs" in the middle of a dark depressive nite, My Pandas lift my spirits, alleviating my loneliness! I feel understood in an Apathetic World.
Yes, there are some glitches. I don't mind them given the enormity of the gifts I receive from this App. Download now!

### 4/5 — Off to a Good Start

*2013-10-29, version 1.0.6*

This app still feels like a bit of a work in progress, but I am liking it so far. Great community!
