### 4/5 — swoon

*2022-05-03*

this app is truly where social media should be more heading with authenticity and not geared towards advantageously contributing to ones figmented self image.

The human experience is developing through time no matter where u are and being conscious of where u r unstigmatized w/ being who we are.

Also love the universality & insignificance of gender in how this apps designed. Older guys especially r stigmatized for expressing their own feelings etc. Thanks for alloting this type of environment in social media.

The GUi however is very clunky/outdated and slowly responsive on even newer or older devices, ive tried them out.

Thanks again, please update this app 💕 this is honestly the more morally equipped approach to social media imo. We need ppl to not curate their own identities socially because thats not how it works irl. Everyone is a fluid, not statically measurable process 💚

### 4/5 — My favorite mood tracking app

*2020-02-04, version 3.3*

my therapist suggested I keep track of how I’m doing so I played around with a few apps, this one is my favorite so far.

### 3/5 — I like it but I can’t get into it

*2018-04-13, version 3.3*

Not sure who else to contact but I just started using this yesterday and I went in to track a mood just now and it’s just showing a lock. Idk how to get into my own mood tracker!

### 4/5 — Easy to understand app.

*2018-03-17, version 3.3*

I’ve had this app for a few months I find it quite easy to use, understand and like that the company offers a private or public one.

### 4/5 — Very helpful

*2017-12-31, version 3.2*

Could be better for sure!! But its a good app i might recommend.

### 4/5 — Love it/But Can No Longer Access

*2017-12-08, version 3.2*

I have used this app daily since May of 2016... I'm devastated. I keep trying to log in with my username and my email and nothing is working. It won't even give me the option to reset my password even though my emails are valid.
I only changed my phone this one time, and I just can't seem to get back in.. it's a lot to go and track again especially when you're trying to make progress from past thoughts.

I do hope someone reaches out to me soon. Because I love this app. It's been a life changer.

### 5/5 — Awareness

*2017-07-28, version 3.2*

This app is causing me to become aware of how events and my feelings are connected and that is a completely inspiring idea all on its own.

### 5/5 — Doing well, but...

*2017-07-28, version 3.2*

This app is doing well for me, but I don't like the forced five star review in order to keep it running.

### 5/5 — Great visualization

*2017-06-15*

I really like that I can describe my own mood even if I don't know exactly what it is and I can visually see my emotion fluctuations through out the day. It really helps to have it stored to look back and analyze my response to an event. Also very simple user friendly app.

### 5/5 — Mood tracker

*2017-05-28, version 3.2*

Helpful

### 5/5 — I really love this app

*2017-04-28*

I haven't been a user for long, and I will post another review farther in our relationship, but as of now this app is everything I was looking for. I was recommended by my therapist to track my mood swings and this app lets me do just that, but also record the thoughts I have at that exact moment so I can look back and see what could have triggered my emotional response. The public community seems to be very supportive of others and everyone is just there to better themselves so they have no time for negativity or hateful comments (at least from my experience) This app is very helpful for me and recommend trying it for people who need to gain control of their mind. I purchased the private app because I'm not really looking for outside support from strangers, I don't want to share my data with others. Just not something I feel I need. Definitely worth the .99 it costs to use the privacy feature, in my opinion.
The things I would like to see change:
1. I would like to personalize my app. I know this seems silly, but that's something I would enjoy. 2. I would also like a more specific timeline for the current day besides clicking a button to zoom. I personally do not like that way of accessing a more detailed view of my day. Maybe a "today" tab in the menu bar.
Just some constructive criticism. I love this app! I will definitely be using for a long time.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2017-04-24, version 3.2*

This helps me track not only my mood but WHY my mood is the way it is. I track sleep, food interaction etc. and it helps me see patterns and what I need to do to keep my mood high.

### 5/5 — Useful App

*2017-04-24, version 3.2*

Just diagnosed with bipolar 2 this app has made it simple to track my mood and thoughts throughout the day. Useful for tracking my cycles. I would recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2017-03-14, version 3.2*

Love the reminders - keeping me honest about tracking my emotions, which is a goal I'd have trouble sticking to without this app. Good for self discovery.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-06-08*

I cannot get into this app as it won’t accept a single user name I suggest. There is no way to contact anyone for support. I cannot use this app or get a refund

### 1/5 — Lost data

*2023-07-11*

I was enjoying using the App but I suddenly lost 5 years of data. Very disappointing and I haven’t been receiving a reply to my tweet about it

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2018-07-05, version 3.3*

Horrible the things that is shown on the advertisement is not in the app

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2017-10-05*

Not worth paying for. Very basic app that tells you nothing and gives little stats.

### 1/5 — Awful. I want my money back.

*2016-12-02, version 3.2*

Awful. I want my money back. I feel like this is a joke & that I should receive my money back. Joke

### 1/5 — Reminders stop working randomly

*2016-10-17, version 3.2*

Reminders will stop being sent and by the time I remember, it's been a week or more I've missed, making the point of a "tracking" app useless.

### 1/5 — User is required to create an account

*2016-08-31, version 3.2*

Could not use the app without creating an account on the remote server. This is a non-starter. The point of paying for the private, offline tracker is to avoid this sort of thing. Very disappointing because the app looks like exactly what I want, but the lack of privacy is a problem.

### 1/5 — Waste of your money

*2016-07-17*

Downloaded this app on my ipad, but when i tried to log in on my iphone it says log in failed. Have the right information on my username but still doesn't work. It's not that pricey 'though but don't waste your money with this app.

### 2/5 — App used to be great

*2022-09-03*

I’ve had the free Moodtrack app for YEARS and absolutely loved and depended on it. Lately it’s been glitching so badly that it’s impossible to type in. I purchased the 1$ Moodtrack app assuming this would fix the issue and this app has the exact same problem. Please fix this issue because there’s still lots of us who depend on your app. Would be five stars if not for the glitch.

### 2/5 — Great idea but glitchy

*2019-09-29, version 3.3*

Overall works pretty well and I’ve been using it daily for 3 years. However, the text edit function really doesn’t work well. And also after you put in a lot of data points (this typically happens to me about about a year) it just stops accepting new entries, even though it doesn’t give you an error message.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The right level of tracking.

*2022-09-14*

Sometimes you need a simple app that helps you observe yourself that doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Instead it does one thing very well which is tracking mood. That's this app. It's great. I would also love to see a feature that randomly prompts you to track your mood so you can gather data when your mood is in both good and bad states so you can really assess how you are doing. Eg. Randomly five times a day between 9 am and 9pm.

### 5/5 — Strangers Reading Your Diary

*2021-07-22*

I mean, aside from the weird Bible freaks that only seem on there to preach the word of God, it’s a pretty good app. I’ve deleted and redownloaded it a lot over the years, mostly deleting it due to me stopping my journaling.

It’s a good app, and this time around I haven’t seen anything about God, so maybe those people actually got their own lives.

It’s a good way to pour your heart out online, anonymously. You can back up your account with a fake email and set a password so you can journal anywhere.

It’s like strangers are reading your diary, but in a chill way where they offer support. I’ve never seen a negative comment on this app, I think it’s remained troll free.

### 5/5 — Please share a donation link

*2021-06-08*

Please developer, don’t give up on Moodtrack! It’s been years since the app has been updated and I’m genuinely concerned for it. Provide us with a donation option if that helps Moodtrack survive, I sincerely want to help!

### 5/5 — in my room

*2020-08-17, version 3.3*

this is the one place i can go, spill my guts, lend an ear (eye?) and know i am among others who understand. only need one.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2019-11-14*

It's a great app for people that want to have documentation of their moods. Each mood entry allows a star rating of 1 through 5. There is also an expanded section to write about the spefics of your mood and how or why you might be feeling the way that you do. This is a good app that can provide an excellent snapshot of your progressiion. The data entries display in the form of a line graph which I find very helpful. You have the option of making your mood entries public or private. If you can open up a little emotionally, I think that this is a great mental health tool.

### 5/5 — Tracking mood for Bipolar

*2019-02-23, version 3.3*

I track my mood regularly and my physiatrist can see the graph for better judging.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2017-08-28*

I have ADD, Severe Anxiety, Long Term Bi-Polar disorder, Depression, in addition to physical intolerances and allergies. This app has been amazing at helping me monitor how I feel and if I'm having a particularly hard day. This is ESPECIALLY helpful when meeting with my psychiatrist every month to discuss medication effects and potential changes. 5 stars!!

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2017-08-14, version 3.2*

Wish I had this years ago. Journaling only captures when all is dark. When things are better - I don't bother. This helps when things are better & ok.

### 5/5 — Great

*2017-08-09, version 3.2*

Ive been using this app for about 2 years now and its helped me a lot. Its helped me learn more about myself, and have helped me prove to myself that things get better. I think its pretty great and very useful

### 5/5 — Good app

*2017-08-08, version 3.2*

Easy to use.
