### 3/5 — Buggy

*2025-11-02, version 3.3*

Used to be a great, simple app. Doesn’t seem to be supported anymore. Very buggy. Nothing loads properly now. What a shame.

### 2/5 — Abandonware

*2025-10-22, version 3.3*

I have a love/hate relationship with this app. When it works, its great. Document your mood, like or converse with other’s moods, follow and be followed. But these features rarely ever work, and feels abandoned by the developer. There is also no way to export.

### 2/5 — App fails to load constantly

*2025-04-24, version 3.3*

I’ve been on this app since 2016. It continues to not let me comment on others posts. Or even my own. It just says cannot connect. This is extremely frustrating.

### 3/5 — Been a user for 7 years, app needs help!

*2024-02-18, version 3.3*

I’ve used this app for almost 7 years now because I needed somewhere anonymous and simple enough to keep track of my moods and things I didn’t wish to share with anyone else. I built an amazing following of wonderful people on there and was able to comment on other’s moods and share support up until a few months ago. In the last few months, I’ve had to change my username without any notice. It made me log in with the new username I created (because it didn’t let me move forward without doing so) and all my followers were gone. My old moods dating back to 2017 age still visible to me - but my mood count started back at 0! I had 1000+ mood entries and now marks it at “0” although I still see my old moods. It looks like changing my username made it “new”. Today, I logged in to find I can no longer comment on people’s moods because of a “connection problem”. So all I can really use it for is adding in my own entries. I can’t even look up the people I followed previously anymore! This is so disappointing. Other users have also mentioned moving to a different mood tracking app. Please fix these glitches. I have so many entries I like to look back on and it’ll be such a shame for users to no longer be able to use the app as much as well did. This app is a great mental health tool for so many of us on there, releasing and venting and seeking supports outside of our everyday. Please fix!!!

### 2/5 — needs serious updating

*2024-01-17, version 3.3*

this app not been updated in 5 years and we can tell. please update because there are several users including myself that would like to continue doing so without the inconvenience of
1. being logged out randomly
2. not being able to comment on other posts without getting an error message
3. theres also no real way to get in contact with tech support amongst a plethora of other issues.

please fix this.

the only reason i didn't give this app zero stars is because its a great community to be a part of but for the headache it causes it may not be worth it to stick with it for much longer.

### 4/5 — App has gone down

*2024-01-12, version 3.3*

Please fix it!!! No one has been able to post or log in for 4 days now. I have some really good friends on the app and I don’t want to lose them! Please it’s worrying me. It needs an update asap.

### 3/5 — No tech support

*2022-08-25, version 3.3*

They now have two apps now in the App Store. Logged me out and couldn’t login to existing account. Had to create new user account lost followers and following. Not sure there is any technical support. Data could be at risk.

### 5/5 — Helped me so much

*2022-06-22, version 3.3*

I’ve only been using Moodtrack for a few days and it’s already helped me so much, it makes me feel acknowledged, it lets me know I’m not alone and it helps me get things off my chest

### 4/5 — Rated four for asking me to rate five

*2022-04-27, version 3.3*

A nice mood tracker, really fun to use.
Get annoying messages about therapist with no way to turn it off.

### 5/5 — Best Mental Health App!

*2022-03-30, version 3.3*

7-year user of this monitoring app during recovery from mental illnesses. Tried many others with none to compare. This is free, user-friendly and endless options for mood, emotion and thought accompanying the rate. No technical difficulties whatsoever. Highly recommend.

### 3/5 — Good Journal, Ruined by Perverts

*2022-03-01, version 3.3*

I love this app for journaling and connecting with others who have similar struggles.

The main problem with this app, is the rampant mental and sexual abuse from a few men who use this platform to sexually abuse mentally ill women and children. They journal about their erections and desire to have sex with young women. They actively seek out teenagers who complain about their parents or boyfriends, then they get them to chat off the app and coerce them into sexting, sending nude photos or webcam sex.

I’ve been using this app for 5 years. Too many women and girls have complained about this behavior from a few disgusting men. We need moderators, a way to report, or at least a way to segregate 50-year-old pedophiles from 13-year-old children. They can be blocked, but then they just move on to the next victim.

### 4/5 — Great but

*2022-02-11, version 3.3*

Can you please change the system from being a scale of 1 to 5 or something besides stars? The star system is not necessarily originated from something that is wholesome

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Signup unavailable

*2026-04-27, version 3.3*

I’ve just tried to signup. I tried about 30 different usernames including ‘suggested’ and kept getting told Username has already been taken.

### 1/5 — App doesnt works

*2026-03-16, version 3.3*

Downloaded and tried use app. Cannot make account to use app. App dpes not work

### 1/5 — Concerned

*2026-02-14, version 3.3*

Problems setting up account but more concerned about auto generated user names such as low_mood, crazy_person and try_harm. Is this some bad taste joke?

### 1/5 — not letting me in

*2025-12-13, version 3.3*

I can’t sign into my old account and I can’t create a new one even with the suggested nicknames they say that they are taken

### 1/5 — Abandonned

*2025-10-23, version 3.3*

I love this app, how simple but effective it is. Rate your mood with 1 to 5 stars. Choose your main emotion. Write. Post. See your mood variations in a nice, graph format. It's perfect. I also love reading other people's updates, offering support. We get to know what happens in everyone's lives. It's very comforting.

Unfortunately, the app is completely abandonned. It keeps crashing for no reason. Most of the time, the commenting function on other moods does not work. A few of us are still here, showing love and support to each other. But I wish we could experience a true community without having to constantly fight the software. Right now, I haven't been seeing anyone's updates for 3 days. It makes me sad. Maybe the app is officially broken now.

Dear Matthew, if you see this, a lot of us would enjoy a little revamping and updating so much.

### 1/5 — Terrible Experience

*2025-08-20, version 3.3*

I was looking for a mood tracker and saw this app was recommended and had good ratings. After I downloaded it and entered all of my personal data, I wasn’t able to set up a username. It kept displaying an error that there was no internet connection. After trying repeatedly and checking my WiFi, I gave up. I downloaded a different app and it works great. No problems creating an account. Not recommended.

### 1/5 — Username

*2025-07-12, version 3.3*

I can’t get past the user name to even use the app. Any username I put in is taken. So I clicked suggested username, and those are also taken.

### 1/5 — Can’t create one

*2024-05-26, version 3.3*

Fix the app can’t even create an account

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2021-09-01, version 3.3*

Had it previously and everything got lost...messaged the app for assistance with the issue. No response. Checked my spam and junk folders. Technical issues should be attended to by all apps.

### 1/5 — Dangerous for people with mental health illnesses

*2020-05-10, version 3.3*

I installed this because it looked to track moods simply and quantifiable, rather than with an arbitrary sliding scale or subjective number between one and ten. It asks if you feel normal or great which is a much better gauge of how you feel. The graph section is great too and I would have kept the app but, and it’s a massive but, the feed section is a horrific and dangerous idea.

As soon as I looked at it, it had people saying they were feeling suicidal today and others were people said they were feeling awful. If you have mental health disorders this is going to make you feel horrendous. The fact that you can reply to it so that you can give emotional support is a terrible idea. Again, if you have any MH illnesses the last thing you need is to be someone else’s emotional support/crutch or to be focussed on suicidal thoughts and depression, especially if you’re getting treatment where you try not to focus on these things.

This is a dreadful idea. I immediately felt worse after a minute of reading the comments. It’s basically tumblr condensed in a mood app, where you affirm others’ feelings or have yours affirmed, which will only lead to worsening of your problems. I realise this will be couched in ‘it’s to give people emotional support’, but you need support from a medical professional who won’t, or shouldn’t, simply affirm your beliefs and should challenge them because most people with mental health problems see themselves as victims of everything conspiring against them, understandably, because they’re not well. I say this as someone with multiple MH problems including BPD. I don’t know what the makers were thinking. These kind of things should be left to professionals not some person sitting behind a computer with no education or training in the field of mental health, thinking ‘this will be a cool app to make money from’. Appalling.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect, just wish it was still updated!

*2026-07-21, version 3.3*

The app no longer works on my new iPhone and I wish the dev would update it because I’ve found nothing like it on the App Store! It’s so easy to use and the graph function is so good, and the fact your moods are completely custom with simple star rating alongside it rather than picking a smiley face or a specific word, you can totally speak your mind. It’s also really helpful that you can click on a mood/title of entry and it’ll show you all the times you’ve used that title along with the corresponding entries. There’s no fussing about with categories or paying to make your own, and the community is really good. I only wish you could sync on the cloud to not lose your account as I’ve lost access to a couple over the years and now when I try to log in or create an account I just get “you have no internet connection” or other error messages :( I really miss this app and there’s really nothing like it out there! Please update it 😭

### 5/5 — Export

*2024-10-21, version 3.3*

Love the app and use it every day. I’m a little bit worried since it has not be updated in a while, is there any way to export the data for safekeeping ?

### 5/5 — Vanessa

*2024-08-19, version 3.3*

This is a good way to show your self how much u can be happy and be sad and getting people to self improve what they do everyday and how they wake up and get the day going u could wake up and be thankful for being alive then again be mad at the world

### 5/5 — Using over three years

*2024-01-30, version 3.3*

I began using this app to track my mood swings and compare them to the hours I sleep when I started working graveyard. After fibit began tracking my sleep I just focused on my moods. Then I began finding this as a safe, anonymous way to vent. I think everyone should vent/rant about their emotions here instead of social media. It's so liberating. I don't have to worry about anyone I know reading and I can share how I feel with others struggling. It feels very real to read anonymous hardships. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 14 yrs ago and am able to look back on my bad moods and see patterns. Helps me stay on track, when I start to feel bad I'll look at trends and recognize "the problem" and the good moods remind me what I do to stay in the green. Very simple and helpful
Update 2024: me and other users have been crying due to the app not working for several weeks, what is going on??

### 5/5 — Download it!

*2023-04-29, version 3.3*

This app helped me so much!! I’m feeling down again so I’m using it again. But at-least just having the thought of deleting it one day cause I’ll be happy again.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2023-04-02, version 3.3*

I love this app. I can complain and vent and express my anxiety and worries to total strangers and it’s all ok. People in this app are supportive and they don’t even know who they’re connecting with. It’s just such a positive idea and app to me. I love it.

### 5/5 — Over all great

*2023-02-04, version 3.3*

Over all this is a great app. Just please a username change feature

### 5/5 — Thank you

### 5/5 — Literally SO COOL!!

*2022-07-28, version 3.3*

I really think every therapist should know about this cool fricking app!! I love how you can track your mood and if you don’t know you can just type “I don’t know.” Either way, it’s awesome that my therapist recommended this to me, thanks!
