I’ve had a screwed up relationship with money for as long as I can remember - feeling guilty about almost every expense. Having a framework and platform that helps me regularly align my values and spending has been a total game changer. Also, it’s fun and not finicky like other budgeting apps. Highly recommend!

*2023-09-06, version 1.73.5*

Few are the apps that guide you through a hard physiological topic. With Allo, I've been able to reflect more deeply about money, how I use it, and how to feel good about it. Thanks!

*2023-08-24, version 1.72.7*

This app really delivers a unique and positive approach to finances. As someone who struggles with the “theology” behind budgeting and tracking finances at a micro level, I love that this app blends in the why/purpose, packaged in bite-sized chunks.

I’ve been using Allo for the past year, and it’s helped me have a healthier relationship with my finances. Unlike other budgeting apps, Allo helps me understand not only what I’m spending money on but why. I’d highly recommend for anyone who wants to feel less stress about budgeting.

### 5/5 — Finally! A way to track values

*2023-07-24, version 1.71.1*

Allo is the last financial planning app you’ll need. After trying many different solutions, found everything I needed in Allo to track my cash flow in a way that aligned with my values and how I wanted to live my life. After a few weeks of using it, I noticed easy ways to cut or justify spending. This app is magic.

### 5/5 — A liberating approach to money

*2023-06-08, version 1.67.0*

Wow, this app’s approach to money is right-on. In most personal finance apps, you dive headfirst into painful budgeting, and I inevitably give up. But in Allo, everything is tied to your *goals/values*. So it feels empowering rather than dreadful. Looking forward to using it more

### 5/5 — Interesting and unique idea!

*2023-06-07, version 1.67.0*

Love this app as a part of my budgeting process! Helps to connect the why if spending money and be more mindful rather than critical. Highly recommend to give a different lens to your spending

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not a fan of the app

*2025-12-29, version 2.12.2*

Not a fan of the app after a few weeks requested a refund cause I have the yearly subscription and they refused to give it back. Tried getting a hold of customer service got nowhere so if you wanna app with poor customer service and not a great user interface this is the app for you.

### 1/5 — Waste

*2024-04-09, version 2.0.2*

Waste of time

### 1/5 — Plaid

*2023-12-06, version 1.73.5*

Uses Plaid to link your card. AppleCard doesn’t work with Plaid and there is no workaround/other option

### 4/5 — Great app to put things in perspective

*2023-06-05, version 1.67.0*

Allo is an incredibly helpful app. This is the only financial app that helps me connect how I spend my money to my values. Using it has helped me keep my North Star in mind. It has also helped to spark conversations with my partner that have helped us get more on the same page. Excited to continue to use the app!!

### 5/5 — Finanseer

*2025-11-19, version 2.12.1*

One of the best apps out there, to bring mindfulness, psychology, behavior change to you and your relationship with MONEY without even noticing it. Natural, easy & fun!

### 5/5 — Game changer?

*2025-10-21, version 2.11.0*

Just starting, but so far I love it. This might be just what I have needed to help me.

### 5/5 — So much better than traditional budgeting!

*2025-07-31*

MoodWallet (formerly Allo) tracks income & expenses (of course!) but approaches personal finance differently. Here, you build (or rebuild) your financial foundation in terms of intentions, values and… gratitude. It might sound a bit woo-woo, but the shifted perspective is working for me where other tools have not.

### 5/5 — Best Way to be Intentional with your Finances

*2025-07-31, version 2.9.0*

This app has been outstanding and so helpful! When I think about stewarding finances in a way that aligns with what me and my family value most, I love the features that allow me to process, articulate, and adjust our resources. It’s helped me to remain grounded and thoughtful in terms of how we spend, invest, save, and give.

### 5/5 — A mindful, life-changing money tool 🌱

*2025-07-17, version 2.9.0*

MoodWallet has been such a grounding and supportive companion for me. Living with neurological Lyme, a brain injury, and Bartonella has forced me to rebuild how I plan, think, and even relate to money. This app helped me step out of old patterns of fear, scarcity, and guilt and into a calmer, more trusting relationship with my finances.

It feels like more than a money management app—it’s a tool for nervous system regulation and emotional clarity around spending and saving. I can feel the care and intention behind its design, and it’s been a game-changer for creating stability and flow in my life.

### 5/5 — Game Changer

*2025-06-04, version 2.8.1*

This app has been such a game changer for me in reconditioning my mindset about money. Most app focus on the numbers or creating rigid budgets but this app delves into your psychology of money and helps you identify your values as one of the money methods for spending money. I love how you can rate your spending based on how you felt with different emoji’s and the reflections. Money is more than numbers, it’s your relationship to money and this app helps you navigate your relationship with money and a non-judgmental way.

If budgeting and tracking hasn’t worked for you, Allo is a great place to approach your finances more thoughtfully and with less anxiety. The developers are very responsive to the needs of their users, too.

### 5/5 — Pretty Good!

*2025-06-03, version 2.8.1*

This app is unique in that is helps with the task of keeping track of finances in a mindful way. Rather than simply serving as another budgeting app, it provides moments of reflection and insight into where your money goes.

If you are only into budgeting apps, this app likely is not for you. Except it is probably exactly for you. ;-)

### 5/5 — More than five stars
